If dipping your toe into Veganuary, you might also want to consider changing your beauty regime. As many of us begin the new year with health-focused resolutions or perhaps participate in Veganuaryj, there has never been a better time to explore plant-based beauty. View this post on Instagram A post shared by 𝒶𝓁𝒾𝒸𝒾𝒶 ☆ vegan beauty skincare + foodie (@alicialatour_) As demand for plant-based foods grows rapidly, with the number of vegans increasing by over a million last year according to Finder, finding vegan beauty products in the skincare aisle remains a challenging task. We hear from skincare and beauty experts who reveal the crucial info you need before buying vegan beauty. What does vegan beauty mean? Similar to a vegan diet, vegan beauty comprises products that exclude any items tested on animals or containing animal-derived ingredients such as beeswax, gelatin, honey, or squalene. “Vegan products are often made with cruelty-free principles, promoting ethical p“ products are often created with cruelty-free principles, supporting ethical practices in the beauty industry,” explains co-founder of Odylique, Abi Weeds. How to determine if a product is vegan Determining if your beauty product is vegan is simple and fast. Dentifying whether your beauty product is vegan or not is quick and easy. The Vegan Society suggests looking for a logo certification, such as the vegan trademark, which guarantees that the product is free from animal ingredients and has not been tested on animals. These trademarks may vary in appearance, whether they are from Vegan Action, Cruelty Free International, PETA, or Choose Cruelty Free. Familiarizing yourself with these logos will assist you in identifying which products are vegan and which are not. Is vegan skincare a viable alternative to mainstream products? When it comes to substituting mainstream products with vegan beauty alternatives, some argue that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. According to Weeds, “Vegan beauty products typically contain fewer synthetic chemicals and harsh irritants, leading to gentler formulations for the skin." View this post on Instagram A post shared by COSMOSS (@cosmoss) “Vegan skincare products are typically rich in antioxidants, botanicals, and vitamins. They are kinder to animals and the planet and less likely to irritate the skin,” says skincare expert and founder of Update Aesthetics Clinics, Nina Prisk. “This is because some popular skincare ingredients derived from animals can be heavier and more likely to clog pores.” The most uncomplicated vegan substitutions for your beauty routine. If you feel that you ought to try and make some vegan beauty swaps but don’t know where to start, the experts have given their top recommendations for products they believe work better than animal-derived products. “I’d recommend swapping out everyday products such as moisturizers, cleansers, and make-up removers,” suggests skin therapist and co-founder of Ella & Jo, Niamh Ryan, “as these can often include harsh chemicals which we end up subjecting our skin to every day.” Read the full article

𝘈𝘋 - 𝘗𝘙 𝘎𝘪𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘯𝘰 𝘰𝘣𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 I was recently sent these 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐧 𝐃𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐬 from @heavenskincare. As we get older the amount of collagen in our skin diminishes and at my age, 51, I've already lost a third of it. This leads to skin becoming drier and showing more signs of ageing. I can definitely do without that! Anyway, these Collagen Drops are going to put back that lost collagen, plus they are really easy to use! You can add a couple of drops or so into a glass of water and drink each morning. Alternatively, you can add some drops to your moisturiser. You can even add a few drops directly onto your skin. If you have a blemish, you can also spot treat with it. 𝐈𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬: Hydrolysed Collagen (Marine), Glucosamine Sulphate, Potassium Sorbate, Vitamin C 97%, Hyaluronic Acid, Magnesium, RDA = 2.14ml, Allergen: Fish/Crustaceans I've only just started taking these, so I am looking forward to seeing what the results are. 😀 Have you tried anything like this? 😊 . . . . . . . . . . . #skincarejunkie #skincareaddict #beautifulskin #instaskincare #skincareobsessed #beautycommunity #iloveskincare #skincareproduct #beautyroutine #skincareblogger #collagendrops #skincarelover #skinhealth #skincareregime #howyouglow #skincarecommunity #odylique #heavenskincare #skincareproducts #discoverunder20k #over40beauty #over40skincare #igbeauty #collagenloss #over50skincare #over50beauty #over50andfabulous (at Tamworth, Staffordshire) https://www.instagram.com/p/CbGOJJHsxIJ/?utm_medium=tumblr

It's beginning to feel festive! 🎄 . Holiday tunes are loud and proud, lights strung across the city, peppermint hot cocoa brewing, gift sets landing in stores and online, mulled spices wafting through the air, and more! . Anyone loving the vibes?? . P.s. My annual Ultimate Christmas Gift Guide is coming soon! I don't like to mention gift buying until December really as I feel it adds to the pressure of having to buybuybuy which is the opposite of what this season should be.. . This year's roundup offers an eco friendly something for everyone at ALL price points 👍 And there's alternatives to "virgin bought" and physical gifts too! . Landing first week of December, so keep posted! 😘 . . #smallbusinesssaturday #ecoblogger #christmasgifts #greenbeauty #Odylique (at Norwich, Norfolk) https://www.instagram.com/p/B476LL-Fd56/?igshid=1hqjy1m7lcvwg

Best Eye Cream for Your Personal Needs
Tumblr media
Are you seeing the signs of aging under your eyes? Is your stressful life causing you to have under eye problems? If you have any under eye problems which are making your face look dull and unhealthy, you probably should start using an eye cream.
The issue that arises here is that there are plenty of eye creams available in the market and you’ll have to choose the one that best suits your needs. This article will provide you with all the information you’ll need for choosing an eye cream that will take your eyes to the optimum health. But let’s start with some basics.
 Reasons behind Under Eye Problems
Your eyes are the first place that shows signs of aging. It is recommended that you should start using an under eye cream regularly after your mid-20s. If you are living an unhealthy lifestyle along with excessive amounts of alcohol consumption and smoking regularly, you probably already have some of the common eye problems (discussed later in the article) and need to rectify the situation immediately. With a number of eye products — including eye creams, eye brightening serumand eye contour care— available in the market the first thing you need to do is to identify your issues and choose a product that solves those particular issues.
Tumblr media
 Identifying your Issues
The issues that you can have as a result of your unhealthy lifestyle or aging include having dark circles under your eyes, having puffy eyes, crow’s feet or even wrinkles. Look closely into the mirror and you’ll be able to identify the problems that you specifically have. Although improving your lifestyle will help improve the condition over time, your skin’s natural healing process will need an extra boost to repair all the damage that has already been done to your skin.
Once you have identified your issues, you’ll be able to choose a product that specifically targets your problem areas. Typically, the instructions to apply the product that you have chosen are given with the packaging so go through the instructions before using the product.
Tips to choose the Best Eye Cream for you:
When you look for a product in the market, first choose a few products that claim to cater to your specific issues. Then figure out if these products are FDA approved and shortlist the ones that are. The next step would be to check out the reviews of the shortlisted products online and read or ask for some testimonials from people around you. You’ll be able to choose a product that is preferred by people. This method will be much better than the trial and error method as it will give you the product that you need without having to try too many products and risking damaging your skin either.
Tumblr media
If you need some personal insight on tried and tested good products then my personal recommendations would be Odylique Repair Lotion and Sea Quartz Natural Vegan Cleanser. Read their details online and if they target areas, give them a shot and thank me later.

Odylique | 100% Natural Plant & Mineral Mascara
Odylique | 100% Natural Plant & Mineral Mascara
My deal with eyelashes.  To be honest, I just want my eyelashes to look natural and have volume. I DO like to experiment with various mascaras but really I just want my lashes to be healthy and have volume, so if there’s a product that can do both of these things for me I’m a happy bunny. ⁣
⁣I am very cautious about choosing eye makeup, mainly because my eyes are sensitive to certain chemicals in…

Example of great customer service: we all moan when something goes wrong but rarely do we see examples of good customer service. I couple of weeks ago I ordered a 50g jar of @odylique Ultra Rich Balm. Unfortunately when I opened it, the product had split. I got in touch to explain and Natalie Jackson from Odylique replied, apologised and very kindly offered to upgrade me to the larger sized 175g jar when a new batch was made. After a few days Natalie emailed again to say that the new balm had been made and was on its way. This issue was resolved so quickly, and professionally I wanted to say thank you to Natalie for the great service I received. I look forward to using the Ultra Rich Balm and I’m sure it won’t be the last product from the brand that I try #thankyou #exampleofgreatcustomerservice #greatservice #odylique #independentcompany #supportindependents #independentbeautybusiness #madeintheuk #organicskincare #skincare #skincareblog #beautyblog #beautyblogger #beautybloggers #beautybloggersuk #bblog #bblogger #bbloggers #bbloggersuk #discoverunder5k (at Witney, Oxfordshire) https://www.instagram.com/p/BpbszVMntUu/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=t2h0196b3h8a

Odylique Organic Mineral Lipstick Review: Autumn Shades (Cruelty-Free, Carmine Free)
I was recently gifted 3 of the Odylique Organic Mineral Lipsticks to review and they are all perfect shades for autumn. I didn’t even realise that Odylique made mineral makeup (I know I must be living under a rock?!) as I’ve only ever used their Superfruit Concentrate Serum – which by the way is a-mazing, especially for more mature skin like mine. In my last beauty post, I talked about how I…

Swipe to see a baby confused by her mums green face 😫 ad I love a good mask moment and I have been loving this one from @odylique recently. The white and green clay removes impurities, the sugar cane polishes skin and the Maca replenishes - anything multifunctional is a god send, especially when you have a baby who hates being put down for longer than 5 minutes The cleanser is an oil to milk type which I love as it removes make up and grime easily but doesn’t dry out my skin The moisturiser smells SO good and locked in all the goodness when I removed the mask All their products have a focus on natural, allergy friendly ingredients, as well as being sustainably packaged, organic and cruelty free 🐰 If you’d like 10% off, use AMIEHOLT or shop via the link on my story 💖 #ad #gifted #skincarereviews #beautyeditor #beautyreviews #beautyfavourites #skincareroutine #skincaretips #skincareadvice #ethicalskincare #naturalskincare #naturalskincarelovers (at Manchester, United Kingdom) https://www.instagram.com/p/CcNvCB1o5V5/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Awareness Needed to Follow the Natural Skin Care Routine
Tumblr media
For decades, huge cosmetic brands have been selling products in the beauty and skincare market that contain harmful chemicals and using these products can damage your skin severely over time. We tend to purchase the products that we see in big scale advertisements and/or have a big brand name backing their effectiveness as we blindly trust that the company must have done enough research to make the product safe.
Usually the first thing that comes to mind while purchasing skincare products is that the products purchased should be effective skin care products, i.e., they should do the job that they are meant to do. But effectiveness is not the only criterion that is needed to be fulfilled by the product; it needs to be completely safe for your skin. Long term usage of a product that contains harmful chemicals can cause damage to your skin as well as overall health.
But how do companies get away with putting harmful substances in their skincare products? The FDA does not regulate or check on the safety of skincare products and it takes decades for people to notice the harmful effects of the products that they are using. Big brands make money by profiting off of innocent consumers: they put risky and suspicious substances in their products without doing sufficient research. Studies have caught companies putting lead into their lipsticks which is a very harmful element to be ingested by human beings. Phthalates have also been found in a number of skincare and anti-aging products which can cause delivery defects. People nowadays are getting more and more aware about the safety of a product and the best way to ensure that is going all natural.
There are brands that are focusing on the all-natural approach to beauty and skincare. They tend to avoid all the harmful elements while making their products in order to ensure holistic production. Consumers these days are getting more aware of and familiar with such brands. If you are not familiar with any of these brands, you can simple start by looking for the ingredients in the product that you are buying and do a little online research on the safe ingredients for that particular product. You need to ensure that there are no harmful elements in the products that you are using and make a list of the safe Personal care Products that suit you the best. You can look for products that are completely herbal or organic.
Tumblr media
If you are looking for brands that you can trust for a 100% Natural Skin Care Routine then you just needs to search online, go through the website of that particular brand to read through their motto and then search for non-sponsored reviews on popular social media platforms. You will have to do your own research through reviews to find a brand that you can trust with your skin.
When you are looking for ingredients, you can find one that is used in many skincare products and it is called PhytessenceWakame. It is seaweed local to Japan and the natives have been using it in food and skincare for centuries. Popular holistic skincare brands that intend to go all natural are now inclining towards using this ingredient in their products. It is considered to have a number of health benefits and it can also give you a youthful glowing skin that you have always wished for. This ingredient can up your skincare game and take your skin health to its optimum level.
Research shows that there are a number of natural ingredients similar to Phytessence Wakame present in the world that can be used as a replacement for the harmful chemicals that companies put into their products. They might have to spend a little extra in making the products but you will never regret spending more on buying quality skincare for the long-lasting youthful glow in your skin. Boosting the skin’s natural cell regeneration process is essential in the lifestyle we are living these days as we introduce our skin and body to a lot of toxins on a daily basis.
If you have Eczema prone skin and you are looking for products that can provide your skin with that extra help that it needs then we recommend you try Odylique Repair Cream and Odylique Repair Lotion which are both excellent products to help you with your skin condition.
