✨BOOK REVIEW-Before Her Eyes✨ Happy Tuesday bookworms! Over the weekend I finished my second book for #thrilleroctoberv2 🎃 Before Her Eyes by Jack Jordan is an interesting thriller/mystery with a blind MC, Naomi, Who is put in danger when she runs into a deadly killer. The town is haunted by a 20 year old cold case from when Naomi was young, and now they think the killer may be back for more. Throughout the book, I did predict some of the twists which made it less “thrilling.” The writing style also wasn’t my cup of tea, I don’t know how to explain it but the characters were kind of one dimensional and I hated how the women were portrayed. But it was an easy and fast read overall. The twist at the end was kind of surprising but I felt like there was a plot hole and had the “that was it” feeling once I reached the end. Overall the story was a bit underwhelming at times and I’d say it’s more intriguing mystery than exciting thriller. Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 Triggers: Suicidal ideation, suicide attempt, graphic depictions of murder scenes/gore, ableism, animal abuse/harm, child abandonment, drug use, abortion, domestic violence, sexual assault • #QOTD How’s your reading month so far? • • • #bookreview #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookphotography #booksandpumpkins #thrillerbook #mysterybook #octoberreads2020 #booklover #bookworm #bookaholic #bookaddict #bibliophile #bookaesthetic #booknerd #booklove #backlistreads https://www.instagram.com/p/CGSaR50Apxk/?igshid=zo1vap7j7blv
