Day 7

7 Lessons I learned this year so far: Umm... 1. Counting calories is truly pointless. 2. If you don't ask, the answer will always be no. 3. Trust the progress. Results come from hard work, being smart, and consistency. 4. If you fail to plan then plan to fail. Meal prepping has been key. 5. Listen to your body. Don't wait until it's too late to go to your doctor. 6. Diets don't work. 7. If you don't appreciate what you have then you'll never have enough.

Thankful Thursday

Yes, I know it's Friday, but this week has been intense.I started a new job roughly two weeks ago working at an assisted living facility. I specifically work in the memory care department. It's rewarding and trying all a the same time, Right now, I'm thankful for that job. It's hard and complicated yes, but at the same time I'm not attached to a head set. I'm up, moving around. Doing things. I'm on a learning curve that goes two ways in a sense. I have to learn memory care and how to plan things that people in that division will want to do. At the same time though, it's something as simple as taking a woman in a wheelchair back and forth in a little yard. Just a few times. Or talking with them and painting their nails. As always,

Day 6

Six pet peeves:

1. The sight and smell of fast food. I literally cannot be around ppl eating fast food.

2. When ppl don’t use their blinkers.

3. When I start talking to somebody and they say “huh?”. If you can “huh” you can hear.

4. Dogs barking outside at night.

5. People talking to me when I have on headphones.

6. When people disrespect other cultures.
