I originally made these as tests, but I found them nice enough to deem worthy of release. Two of them have been put out as secret-cc before, and if you have either of them I recommend deleting the files and replacing them with this new, updated, merged package file. I cleaned up some crunchy spots and also there's a bunch of new colors.

All 3 have 30 swatches, 20 solids, 10 gradients. All 3 are found on 4 different body birthmark slots, so you can layer to your heart's content.

Custom thumbnails. Color slider mod compatible. Works for both genders/frames TYAE.

i already made a video on the topic so i might be repeating myself, but the release of these recent silent hill projects make it impossible for me to not think about how much this franchise struggles with defining its identity. and for as much as i love silent hill 2, it's kinda its fault for muddying the waters on what a silent hill game was supposed to be 'about', since it is the one game that popularized this notion of the 'therapist town'.

twisted projections of the worst parts of someone's mind have been a cornerstone of the series since the first entry, where we are forced to experience alessa's nightmare, but it's a notably different approach than that of the second game, starting by the fact that it's a deep dive of someone else's mind, not the protagonist's - a formula that repeats itself most notably on silent hill 4, with walter's character being the sources of the projections, and even silent hill 3, where we are split between heather and claudia's versions of the otherworld.

in these games, we spend a good chunk of the game with our player characters as confused spectators of a horror that is connected to them, sure, but bigger than themselves. it is that contrast that made silent hill 2 stand out back when it came out, in fact. finding out that what we were experiencing stemmed from james himself instead of other characters around him was a genuine twist, not the forgone conclusion that it became these days.

in reality, what i believe has always been central to the identity of the silent hill games and that has been sorely neglected on basically every title that has been released after 4 (no doubt because of this belief that silent hill /needs/ to be about a tortured protagonist discovering hidden truths about their lives) is the occult. the genuine surreal supernatural elements that complement the metaphors. the cult and the gods and the otherworld and the psychic powers. and that's something that even silent hill 2, the game most disconnected of this aspect of the series out of the original four, still recognizes and approaches in direct ways. that's what makes maria such an intriguing character, especially on born from a wish, and there's even an ending where james tries to engages directly with elements of the cult of the original game, attempting to perform a ritual of rebirth on mary.

i feel that later silent hill titles feel almost ashamed to engage with these elements directly, preferring to lean heavily on the metaphorical aspects of it in order to downplay the weirdness of the occult in the series, but in doing it that, you end up stripping it of something that's essential to it, that gives the series its distinct flavor and, worse of all, end up with very samey, predictable stories that try and fail to recapture the magic of silent hill 2

More people need to read interactive fictions because

1) they're fun and obviously, interactive, and all the cool cats are reading them

2) if the books don't get enough sales the authors don't make sequels and then im just sitting there with a cliffhanger and a desire for more content that fanfiction will not sate because there IS no fanfiction

hm even tho i'm against organized religion, i still appreciate religious symbolism & art. i would absolutely consider myself a spiritual woman. for me, i understand the pagan roots in christian art, so in a way it's appreciating how these ancient symbols have survived throughout space and time and the people who have fought to keep them alive. also it's pretty common for puerto ricans who practice espiritismo/mesa blanca/brujeria etc to use catholic saints in their practice because they had to adapt. they use the saints as masks for their old spirits, and i've found that a lot of pagan--and when i say pagan i mean spiritual practices of the "commoner" or "villager"-- practices have done this over time to "adapt" to religious colonialism while secretly practicing their old ways.

can i be borderline controversial and say that i do think there's a correlation between the love and adoration for the other kings, Leviathan's brutal honesty about grey-morality and involvement in war when you know him as Leviathan, and his lack of worshipers here under that name. the controversial part being that the other kings seem way more into propaganda flourishing and part of why i say that is because ive known both of them and they fucking do that oops hashtag UPG (PVG) spilled outta my pockets there

ie its always people who work for the other kings i see so caught up in how loving and pure the kings and ''demons'' are, and you COULD say that's just because Lev doesn't have many worshipers under that name but I think its more so because when you know "Leviathan" uhhhhh. like you could say lack of lev worshipers = lack of lev propaganda but i think its more so lev isnt going to pretend to be a beautiful siren man in a suit who tells you he loves you so so much even tho he just met you two seconds ago

I started watching inside jobs a few months ago never finished it. It’s quite interesting, do you believe in the “dark” stuff that were shown or do you think it’s more of a stretch?

I highly recommend finishing the show if you have time. There is a lot of plot (and angst) in the second season and ending. Personally, I am carefully skeptical about believing conspiracy theories and the like. Although I do think the government and large corporations hide a lot of information and actions from the general population and surveillance nowadays borderlines 1984 levels.
