Hell had become quite the desolate place. After their king suddenly disappeared, There was no law or order for anything. Overlords starting gaining souls and going up the ranks. The streets filled with murder and mayhem everywhere. Still there was one town that remained untouched.

Cannibal Town. The town was surprisingly nice and everyone agreed that the people were nice to. In this town lived a young Overlord. The feared Radio demon to those outside of cannibal Town. But inside Alastor was a bit of an odd ball. Mainly for the fact the boy was never interested in romance. Still Alastor loved the little community and as he stepped out of his deer friends Rosie's emporium with a little basket to pick up ingredients for a meal he started to sing

" Little town it's a quiet village. Every day like the one before. Little town full of little people, waking up to sayyy"

Doors opened as several cannibals spouted out

" That may be true however there is still Passion, and Mystery and and so many beautiful songs" Alastor eyes kept lighting up. " Well then my boy how about this then. Why don't you keep it". Alastor was surprised" Wait really "

Alastor chuckled. " Oh think of nothing of it sir , he made quite the feast didn't he"

The cannibal laughed. " Oh my boy he sure did. Now do run along and tell Rosie and that sweet darling Charlie I said hello"

Alastor smiled waving goodbye" I will thank you so much" he walked out as more people continue to sing

" Look there he goes that boys peculiar, I wonder if he is feeling well. With a dreamy far off look, and his nose stuck in that book what a puzzle to the rest is Alastor".

Alastor starts reading the musical smiling. " Oh isn't this amazing it's my favorite part because you see, hears where the phantom first sings to Christine , but she won't discover that it's him till chapter 3".

A woman was trying on hats. " Well it's no wonder some people call him Bambi that boy is kinda innocent"

Meanwhile three overlords came into the town these were the Vees. Their Leader Was a Tall moth Named Valentino who owned the top porn studio. Valentino used to have a top porn star named Angel dust but he mysteriously disappeared years ago so he had been looking for a new porn star. His sites were unfortunately on Alastor. " Ah there's our new star" Valentino exclaimed. " Yeah my future wife" Vox sighed. Velvette rolled her eyes" Oh brother can it you too he ain't interested" Valentino growls" Excuse me I am the best, And don't I DESERVE THE BEST"! He roared at Velvette. She shrugged then continued scrolling on her phone " Right from the moment that I met him saw him I said he is gorgeous and I fell , here in town there's only me who is beautiful as he so I'm making plans to woo and fuck alastor" Valentino and Vox sang. Three Bimbos , Stolas , Verosika and Stella sang" Look there they go aren't they charming, look oh there so cute be still my heart I'm hardly breathing there such tall handsome brutes" They get Drenched. Velvette chuckles " It's never going to happen dorks" They all sigh

" Ten yards, Fresh cheese , you call the bacon," the townspeople sing

Vox " Please let me through"

" This fish it's stale madams mistaken"

i have previously expressed interest in documenting hair through painting and photography as hair styles - from natural afros to straight weaves made of horse hair - are a big part of black culture. for myself, my hair is the way i dentify with my heritage and like many other women of colour, i have struggled to acceot its natural qualities -causing damage with chemical relaxant, straighteners and gel in attempt to make it look ‘neat’. its not untill iv got older that iv learnt to love my hair and treat it back to health. this series of black and white photographs taken on my phone by my mother, document my hair styles - both natural and wearing a hair piece - throughout lockdown. i had hoped to do this in the photography studios prior to lock down with other models to capture more diversity in hair textures and braiding and weave techniques. as i was unable to do this, i accomodated with what resorces i had at home. i used myself as the model and asked my mum to take the daily photos with clear instruction on balancing the images compositions. i then edited them to black and white. transfering the colour balance of the image to black and white captures the light within the hair more clearly, giving more definition to the curls. i took the photographs outside in the sun light but it would have looked better if i had used an artifical light source directed onto the hair to prevent black spots. as i wasnt taking the photographs myself and didnt have acess to a quality camera or stand, i didnt have much control over the compisition but i think my mum did a good job of getting the distance between myself and the camera as well as the heigh quite well - this could have been controle with the height of a stand. i prefer the brick wall back ground oposed to a black white wall. these feel as though the model is placed somewhere - she is a person living in a world rather than a set. 

this series takes inspiration from artist J.D. Okhai Ojeikere. Johnson Donatus Aihumekeokhai Ojeikere (1930 – 2 February 2014), known as J.D. 'Okhai Ojeikere, was a Nigerian photographer known for his work with unique hairstyles found in Nigeria. i came across his work when using the tates instagram social media as a form of discovering new artists. 

the artists hair styles are much more intricate than mine due to my hair styling abilities. i want to continue to experiment with this next year and have a hair dresser style my hair in more exotic, traditional styles that i would not usually do by myself. the artists work captures just the head and neck, this occodates to the upstyle dos he is working with. my art work encases more of the body to accomodate the length of the hair.
