🌼- What's your favorite thing about this oc?

I really love her aesthetic, but because it’s so opposite to my own. The image of what I wanted for her compiled really quickly and so I have this modern wannabe-princess who loves lighter colors and frills and there’s an energy to it that really makes me smile.

🍁- What's this oc's favorite genre of movies/tv shows/books/etc?

Definitely romance! Bonus points if there’s a fantasy element. She wants to be the princess falling in love in every story.

☀️- Does this oc make good or bad first impressions?

Honestly, she’s not the best at them. Mainly because she doesn’t want to go outside of her core group, so any newcomers are gonna get a raised eyebrow from her at first.

Since this is such an au world Yakiko can get exactly what she wants. Aka Hatsuharu. White hair? Edgy clothes and chokers? Dramatic personality switching? Would do anything for the people he loves? That's just her type in a man.

But it's okay because I insist on making her bond with Rin. That's gonna be one of her best friends when I'm done. (but also Yakiko has 2 hands so who knows???)

She'd be from a different wealthy family in the area - not a clan like the Sohma, but they have such a monopoly over that city and so much internal politics that I bet her parents have ordered her not to bother with romancing someone from there. (Sucks for them because we know she'll do the opposite of anything her folks ask.)

Yakiko would've met everyone through transferring in to Tohru's class in their second year and Tohru, Uotani, and Hanajima would make her feel truly welcome while other classmates (like some of Yuki's fans) were more interested in digging into her background and status like they used to do to all the Sohma kids.

Also she wants to steal a role in Cindarella-ish. She's gonna be the evil step-mom now. Just because she thinks it sounds fun.

This one was hard. I....don’t think Yakiko swears at this level? So here’s a couple that would definitely be worthy if she did:

Shun’s mother, helicopter parent extraordinaire

Her own parents (i was trying to stick to canon characters but she insists on listing this)

Reita Toritsuka (okay maybe he could absolutely push her to the limit)

Makoto Teruhashi (had to have met him at least once by this point and may she just say....Ick)

Touma Akechi (if he sneaks up on the gang she knows she’s about to the headache of the century)

who is more likely to leave (for any reason): yakiko’s literal backstory but she’d sure say that shun has the right to leave if he wants but he won’t oop

who is more likely to drunkenly confess: yakiko is the like weepy drunk crying about how much she loves him while like draped across him bye

who is more likely to push the other away (for any reason): shun is like “can’t get too close, my enemies will come after you” and i’m like dude what enemies

who picks fights more often: with each other? never, they’d rather die. in general? shun and it will only backfire

who usually apologizes first: hm....shun

who is more likely to withhold their feelings for the other: yakiko holds it all back for a bit. shun gives himself to people so easily and she feels like she has to earn back being his best friend first

who is more likely to lash out at the other: they hate this question and i don’t really attach it to either of them, but i’d say shun is more likely just because he’s the much louder personality

who gets more jealous: yakiko got mad seeing this question so i guess this is for her <3

who is more likely to support the other in a relationship with someone else “as long as they’re happy”: shun. he’d become the “this is fine” dog

🦋 - befriend, adopt, ignore.

She got very torn on these so good job with the list lol

Befriend - Nendou is so friend-shaped. Legally I don't think she can turn that down. That's a buddy.

Adopt - ...Saiko's family life is shit. Like Yakiko has her own drama, but after enough time with him she's like "that isn't it, honey."

Ignore - It's a decision to ignore out of platonic love. Every time he says "no" to any squad shenanigans she's like "hm i don't hear anything ❤" Sometimes a beautiful friendship can come from silence.

she’s very accepting of all sorts of oddities. she has so much beef with the controlling nature of both her and shun’s parents that she doesn’t want to control those close to her.

What is your character's aesthetic? Do they purposely maintain this aesthetic, or is it more spontaneous?

My oc Yakiko's aesthetic is basically just Modern Day Frilly Princess. She wears a lot of whites and pastels and skirts. She even has pet frogs! And she calls her s.o. her knight in shining armor. And I'd definitely say it was on purpose. It almost feels like a childhood game of make-believe that went on way too long and no one's gonna stop now, it's just who she is.
