Redesign of the NON, now renamed to the Webcrawler.

I just wanted its design to fit more with its role in the story, especially since it's one of the most important characters in Muteshock.

the sidekick: intro

synopsis: after all All Might needed a sidekick to handle jobs he could not.

note: i intend to do a series with this oc (he's really really inspired by Spiderman) since i couldn't decide which character it worked best with i'll be writing scenarios or drabbles with whatever situation i came up. also, you can make requests with this particular oc.

AllMight'sSidekick! who swings to USJ and climbs to the dome's top to see what's going on inside.

AllMight'sSidekick! who jumps three times and breaks the dome's glass to help Eraser Head from Nomu.

"All Might's sidekick! Webcrawler!" Izuku silently said from the water.

AllMight'sSidekick! who leaves Shigaraki on the floor after hiting him with spiderwebs.

AllMight'sSidekick! who's worried about interference and not being able to report the situation as he battles Nomu and webs the other villains.

AllMight'sSidekick! who webs Shigaraki's feet and arms to the floor and does too with Nomu's in order to stop the attack against two students.

An explossion on USJ's door and loud voices screaming his boss' hero name.

"I'm here!" All Might screamed, tearing his tie off.

AllMight'sSidekick! who takes the students to a safe place after All Might's sign.

"Take Eraser to a safer place" Webcrawler indicates, looking at the hero's injuries.

AllMight'sSidekick! who stands beside All Might and says "I'll go after the boss" before All Might tries to hit him directly.

So he probably protects him.

"Isn't working because of impact absortion. It would be better gut him off..."

AllMight'sSidekick! who runs to help All Might get off Nomu's hands as students appear and help too.

AllMight'sSidekick! who takes the students to a safer place while All Might fights Nomu.

AllMight'sSidekick! who throws webs at Shigaraki's hands and pulls him towards him.

Soon other pro heroes start arriving. Shigaraki decomposses Webcrawler's webs as he pulls and pulls.

"I'm not letting you escape!" He screams.

Snipe shots Shigaraki leaving him on the floor and making easier Webcrawler's movements. Still, they managed to escape.

Freerunners!! for wip game

Freerunners is an original speculative fiction universe devised and written by me!

Freerunners is set in our future (approx. 2470), in a galaxy where humanity fell into a dark cyberpunk age, but managed to pull itself out with the unlocking of a future among the stars. It shares a timeline with my other original speculative fiction universe, Subsurf.

The story blends elements of cyberpunk (notably: cyberware, evil corporations ruining peoples' lives, vexes: a technology similar to braindances, but more inspired by BTLs from Shadowrun, and the whole high tech, low life feel of the universe), moderately hard science fiction like The Expanse and makes concessions towards unrealistic tech like jump drives for the sake of the story.

The story itself follows the crew of the Independent Contractor high-endurance courier ship 'IC Isthmus' as a simple cargo mission to deliver a replacement rocket engine to a Capellan intelligence officer (Moses Marcellus Booker, who I have always imagined as being played by Idris Elba, so screw you CDPR I thought of it first!) drags them into a complicated series of interweaving and competing interests and designs between the galactic powers.

The crew of the Isthmus comes from a variety of backgrounds. Some have clear inspirations, others are completely original creations.

Captain Connor 'Truck' Pearce - a war veteran and the captain of the Isthmus. Fiercely protective of his crew, and dealing with PTSD after losing his arm during the war. He's a native of the United Arcturian Colonies.

Zoe Alvarado - a former scrapyard techie from the ass-end of the resort planet Paraiso, who learned to fly from her grandma before being recruited by Truck. Chief inspirations: Avril 'Scrap Queen' Mead (Ace Combat 7) and Judy Alvarez (Cyberpunk 2077). Citizen of Paraiso, a free planet under Arcturian protection.

Jaidyn Armas - a webcrawler (net specialist, think netrunner or decker) from Paraiso's largest city, New Emerald. She worked as a net technician in New Emerald's biggest brothel for a while. She joined Truck's crew when Truck and Zoe helped her escape a deadly situation. Jaidyn and Zoe are in a relationship. Chief Inspirations: Valerie Ocampo-Gonzalez (Cyberpunk 2077 OC). Citizen of Paraiso.

Noah 'Chief' Rodriguez - a loadmaster, and a former Warrant Officer in the United Republic Space Force. He was Truck's first crewmate, having joined him after working a stint with Truck for Transstellar Spaceways. Noah is in a relationship with Cory Morgan, another crewman. Citizen of the United Republic of Earth Colonies.

Cory Morgan - a space nomad. He's a webcrawler, or at least, has the cyberware to be a webcrawler, but his true speciality is in astrogation. When he's not keeping the FTL computer running, he's arguing with Jaidyn about nerd shit. Citizen of the Commonwealth of Capella.

Isiah Larson - a former Capellan Navy medic who joined the crew on Terra Nova. Larson is a snarky, quippy man, who uses humour to put people at ease, a talent he picked up during the Capellan war with the Star Rakers, a large nation of pirate space nomads.

Slate - Slate is... Slate. She's a 6'7" beast, equipped with state of the art combat cyberware and has been bioengineered for peak physical performance. She is known for her husky, monotone voice, and her freakish combat performance. Only Truck could accidentally recruit a supersoldier. There's one problem, she can't explain how she got the way she was, or even who she is, because her memories are sealed behind some kind of neural lock technology. Isiah believes that she might be a corporate weapons experiment, given much of her cyberware is produced by Kagiyama-Soryu.

Chapter 1 'Disengage' is finished, but is stuck in editing hell. Chapter 2 'Replacement Parts' is about 10% finished. I'll be posting these soon.

27- well, a lot of my ocs draw a little from songs, but none are entirely based on one. for example, my version of doc ock for webcrawlers universe can use any wires for their tentacles, but they have an arcadey theme bc of the song cabinet man by lemon demon. but if that song didnt exist, my doc ock would stay mostly the same

29- my oc pip (working name) literally lives in an old spooky mansion. thats actually where she met dustin (working name), a ghost! i should probably write that story at some point...

50- ok so when it comes to my ocs, sometimes i just make em for no good reason. for example, crick. shes a bug/human thing that i just thought of one day. havent used her for anything, she just lives in my head rent free. also, fun detail about her is the fact that her best friend is a trans girl that she met while trying to look more human in a public restroom. the interaction basically went

"im so sorry, im just in here to... do what youre doing"

"...you mean stuff your bra? are- are you like me?"

"yeah! that! i forgot the human word for that, sorry"

so maren (trans girl) thinks crick is also a trans gal and crick thinks maren is another bug person. i love them lots, wish i had story ideas for them

[Yami Bakura slowly makes his way over to Author's desk. Strangely, there is no Author]

Y.Bakura: Weird…

[Yami Bakura shrugs]

Y.Bakura: I guess that explains the lack of sound. So odd not hearing those little keys tapping.

[Yami Bakura makes his way over to Ryou’s space. Ryou is flying around gleefully with the wings Author gave him. No Author though]

[Yami Bakura hesitantly makes his way over to where Marik and Yami Marik are. They are rehearsing their lines for an upcoming chapter. Still no Author]

[Yami Bakura grumbles as he looks in on Atem and Yugi. They are playing a friendly game of Duel Monsters. No Author in sight]

[Yami Bakura wanders over to the background characters. He ignores whatever they are doing. He starts to become concerned at the lack of Author]

[Yami Bakura looks over towards ‘Them’...the OC’s. He shudders. He quickly scans through them and heaves a sigh of relief at finding no Author among them]

Y.Bakura: Okay, this is a long shot, but has anyone seen the Author?

[Yami Bakura quickly points at the group of OC’s]

Y.Bakura: Except you guys. Please don’t say anything. Better yet, don’t even look this way. You creep me out.

[The group of unloved OC’s hang their heads and wander away]

[Yami Marik approaches]

Y.Marik: I saw Author in her room. You might want to check there.

[Yami Bakura has to look up to see Yami Marik’s face because Author made Yami Marik 6’3”]

Y.Bakura: What’s she doing in there? She’ll never finish her stupid longfic lounging around in bed all day.

Y.Marik: Drowning in anxiety and depression.

[Yami Bakura snickers and grins]

Y.Bakura: Let me guess: Someone finally told her that her longfic sucks and she should delete it? Oh! Better yet! They told her Hateshipping sucks and that she should let me kill the Pharaoh!

[Yami Marik stares boredly down at Yami Bakura]

Y.Marik: Nope. Her longfic got hit by the Kudosbot for a third time. She did the math. Out of the 126 Kudos she’s received, less than 20 are from actual readers…out of 270 hits.

[Yami Bakura is visibly confused]

Y.Bakura: So…what I’m hearing is that there are approximately 20 nutjobs that actually like what she’s writing…right?

[Author is wrapped in her favorite blanket and staring depressingly at her phone]

Y.Bakura: Oh no! I’m having a ‘Feelings’ attack! Quick! Fetch me the Pharaoh so I can focus on wanting to kill him!

[Author lifts her head and spots the two Yami’s. A lightbulb appears over her head as she begins to grin in a maddening way]

[Yami Bakura notices the creepy look on Author’s face. He is suddenly more terrified than when he saw her writing smut between him and Atem]

[Author casts aside her burrito shell/blanket and rushes over to squeeze the life out of Yami Bakura]

Author: You! Why didn’t I think of it sooner!?! You can get rid of the Kudosbot!

[Yami Bakura is somewhat worried]

Y.Bakura: Uh…Author? You’re doing that thing where you’re spewing out nonsense.

[Author grabs Yami Bakura by the face and appears very serious all of the sudden]

Author: Murder Fluff, I have a very important mission for you. I need you to track down a rogue webcrawler called Kudosbot…and I need you to KILL IT.

[Yami Bakura stares blankly]

Y.Bakura: Webcrawler? You mean like Spider-Man?

[Author scowls in irritation]

Author: Not that kind of web you moron! I’m referring to the internet! I need you to travel through the internet and find this thing and kill it!

[Yami Bakura is a bit worried for Author’s mental state]

Y.Bakura: I like the line of thinking you’ve obviously got going here, but there’s one problem: I don’t have the ability to actually travel through digital space and kill rogue programs.

[Author melts into an amorphous blob of anxiety and depression]

Author: Then there’s no hope…and it means my stats will probably keep getting messed up…and I know I’m writing for ‘Me’, but sometimes I just want validation…

[Yami Bakura groans as he feels to the compulsion to be ‘Nice’]

Y.Bakura: Your story isn’t…‘bad’…

[Yami Bakura tries not to vomit]

Author: It’s not ‘good’ either…

[Yami Bakura is irritated]

Y.Bakura: Screw what the internet thinks! If they think they can do better, then THEY should try writing! They have no idea the level of insanity it takes to do what you do! I bet THEY wouldn’t be able to put me and the Pharaoh in the same room and make it where I somehow want to kiss him instead of kill him!

[Yami Bakura stops to take a quick breath before continuing]

Y.Bakura: Do you think THEY could think of making an entity created from pure hatred into a 6 foot 3 asexual that is the equivalent of the Cowardly Lion with massive amounts of PTSD? Or make me into someone that can be ‘nice’? Or think up that mentally unstable and bipolar OC that just wants to be loved?
