they technically are married! waldeamar proposed and they got married in what was then the roman empire. although neither are entirely sure a marriage certificate from so long ago, issued by a state that no longer exists, would still be legally valid

gossip AND pretentious discussion! get you an immortal vampire partner who can do both

i marked Waldeamar as being the one to die protecting Aura but lbr neither of them are exactly easy to kill. so its more like risks injury/social status/the masquerade to protect the other from injury/social loss/violating the masquerade. neither of them really need protecting too often in modern nights, with Aura’s exile from the camarilla being an outlier

there was definitely mutual attraction at first sight and they both fell in love very quickly but Waldeamar had it planned and Aura just sorta tripped and fell in love by accident.

as for starting arguments, they’ve known each other long enough to know when they won’t change the others mind about something and when they are open to different ideas. so arguments end about as fast as they start. debates however… they’re so good at the Don’t Get Me Started road trip game

as for the slashes, they both do housework but different kinds. Aura does the kind that polite company would approve of, whereas Waldeamar does the decontamination and removing all traces that they were ever there. A cozy clean home vs a sterile OSHA compliant laboratory. And when it comes to who does more speaking, it depends on what’s going on and who they’re speaking to. Aura is the more charismatic one (waldeamar’s putting that 1 charisma 2 appearance to work) so she’s usually the one to speak to other kindred, especially younger ones. however, if it’s a topic Waldeamar has knowledge and experience in, Aura lets them take the reign. Lastly, Waldeamar would have more relationship experience just by virtue of being so much older than Aura. Romantic/sexual relationships weren’t a focus of their life in their younger years or their life pre-embrace, but they did have the occasional lover over the 3,000 year period before they met

Waldeamar was once part of the Inconnu. When? They’ll never tell, but it can be assumed it was before the embrace of Aura Philopatora. Absolutely nothing can get them to tell you anything about the group. 10 Willpower, babey. Even if you did manage to subdue them and restrain them in a way they couldn’t escape, you couldn’t torture them for information. If you tried to torture them, they’d probably laugh and perhaps even give you advice. Starve them? They’ll just go into torpor. Leave them alone in solitary confinement until they lose their mind? It’s going to take longer than most methuselahs’ lifetimes to make them crack, are you really that patient?

she still met waldeamar he just ghouled her instead of turned her as she was an unfit specimen for their experiments

she was embraced in the year 888 by Baba Yaga. at first she hated Baba Yaga for turning her but over the years is grateful and happy to be a nosferatu

waldeamar was about to be mad like “wtf you embraced my ghoul” until they saw her hideous skulking form and was like “sexyyyy”

she moves like the tank from l4d, her huge arms relative to body size able to support her whole body weight, she runs on all fours but can stand and walk fully upright

her knees and elbows are double jointed, they can move into a 300 degree angle without pain

her teeth oh fuck where do i even begin. just look at the concept image i doodled for her nosferatu form

anyways like i said waldeamar looked at her and was like “big sexy”

she had a hard time with the loss of her beauty so she’s a master of obfuscate. she has the unique “hide from auspex” level 10 ability. it differs from the level 7 cloak ability in that 1) it always succeeds, 2) advanced auspex users can sense her but not fully see her. only elders with 8+ auspex with the “omniscience” ability can sense her

her name is where “aura” meaning vibes comes from because auspex masters could sense her presence but for everyone else she was just a feeling of something being off. eventually it trickled from vampire terminology into human vernacular
