shes just staring at maecetis and is chanting "mom! mom! mom! mom! mom!" at her. sigh.

Maecetis: I not only got a high priestess, but also a daughter. I don't mind this. :)

I just know she wants to kill her priestess' biological mom, I just know it. She finds her, fantasizes about killing her, and then is like "Okay, I'v gotten all of my rage out. Time for me to love the daughter she left."

imagine if stone played them so much they got scratched up and worn down. progressively deterioating to the point it might as well be static and glitches.

im telling sammy to hide the rest of the discs he has of the band.. and for ainārs to not tell stone he has more copies at his place.

(imagining stone and sammy "fighting" over who gets to have them. imagine stone possibly ignoring sammy's own wishes cuz. uh oh. he may or may not be too far gone now)

Okay so this Stone just got a little flick to the forehead (Maecetis did that) and he's fine now. He has seen the error of his ways and he is giving the CDs back to Sammy after only listening to them one time, so they're still in good condition.

And now he's.... writing down the feelings he felt when hearing the music in his journal. ...So he can process them and the grief.

I... I think Maecetis' little flick to his forehead made him get healthier?? Like coping wise??

technically, demon!butcher is like an anomaly. he shouldnt exist anymore but he does. his soul constantly kept alive, no matter how weak and frail it was at times by devil!stone in his pursuit of someone who wont leave him, ever

yk the amulet where both butcher and diane were in? maecetis should just like. take it and go at it with a hammer /lh

am i imagining maecetis talking to diane and being like "you shouldnt be alive right now." and all diane can say is "i know :(" and... augh.. sobbing. :(

Maecetis should've intervened when Devil!Stone used Ranch!Butcher as a host for Demon!Butcher, but she didn't. Why? I assume she got really tired of his antics.

She is so tired and she is trying to keep the Ranch universe from collapsing, but she doesn't know how. Unfortunately for her, Devil!Stone made it so that Demon!Butcher has to have a host from another universe in order to keep the cycle of basically reincarnation going. So now she has to find a universe that will die regardless just so that Devil!Stone doesn't use Ranch!Butcher's body.

She's a stressed goddess.

got the vision of maecetis lowkey torturing any and all versions of serial killer!stone via giving him visions of how, no matter what he does, he cant save or protect the ones he loves

like. if he gets obsessively protective to the point of locking kali/sylvester/the kids in the home 24/7, they get killed by home invaders in the 20 minutes he was out to get groceries

or he gets a vision of him, no matter how niceys or sweet or baby material hes being, he ends up as the sole survivor of a car crash he couldnt have predicted

maybe after all that work he does on himself to eat at restaraunts, his fears come true and theres lethal poison slipped into all the drinks but his own

imagining that it could also be a traitor situation. a close friend turninh on them, taking revenge over something with the use of a gun and spilt blood

someome, no matter who, always dies.

Finally answering this and Maecetis is still saying the same thing she's been saying since seeing this ask: she wouldn't torture Serial Killer!Stone, because he does that himself. No one can torture Stone better than he can himself.

That said, while she doesn't torture him, I can see time doing it. Sure, time and her are so integrated, she's sometimes called Time, but there's always parts of time she can't touch/control. It's the way the universe works, there's always something higher up in the celestial food chain.

Anyways, the universe will torture Serial Killer!Stone because that's the path he took, after all. He took the path he knew would end in tragedy and the universe has its way of never letting him forget the choice he made.

It's part of why Canon!Serial Killer!Stone doesn't even let himself be around other people when he's not protecting innocents (aka killing criminals). Not only does he not want to have anyone be on the run with him and he can't really love anyone else after Kali dies, but it's also because he knows tragedy wouldn't stop with him but also with his loved ones. It's better to be alone, lest he drags someone down the path of destruction with him.

Death is inevitable when you ignore the warnings of Time.

anyways, imagining he, before everyone, knew of the possibility that his daughter may become a high priestess. he never spoke of it. hes not supposed to give irl spoilers to anyone (and his own high priest will be wildly annoyed if he did) even if it may not end up being true in the end

imagining he gets *so* many headaches from seeing every possible outcome of every possible persons actions all at once, without a break. ever.

imagining he uses his cat form as a sort of retreat into safety. his brain is quieter then

Hey, Maecetis and God!Sylvester can bond over seeing things that are meant to happen but being unable to say anything.

...Actually, now that I'm thinking about it, God!Sylvester probably side-eyed Maecetis when she tried to stop Serial Killer!Stone from becoming himself. But I mean, she'd know if what she did wasn't right, so there's that.

Anyways, I love how God!Stone's temple is just where everyone goes when they need rest. It makes sense, but he really loves it. He's telling me that High Priestess!Mārīte and God!Sylvester have their own bedchambers in the temple, designed for their comfort in mind.

high priestess!mārīte is laying down and taking a nap on god!butcher, but she's not happy about it

in fact, i think she'll end up just yapping for *hours* now.

maecetis can check up on her in 12 hours and see that, in those 12 hours, she has not slept a wink. sigh. i'd say lock her in a dark room all by herself but then she'd lowkey spiral

.......... although... she is saying over the years with maecetis, shes developed an irrational fear of the dark.... :) because now all she knows is that light = literal safety

its irrational and she knows it is, and that nothing will happen, but still. maybe overtime her nighttime vision has also dulled and become less sharp, due to the abundance of her time being spent in a blinding light. :)

So the true solution is locking High Priestess!Mārīte in a room with no one else but the room has an abundance of light. It is being done as we speak.

Even better, Maecetis is going to personally provide the light (without being there in the room) so her high priestess can feel her power through the light and know she's still watching over her as always.

well now im haunted by the idea of high priestess!mārītr dying. and frankly i dont wanna be haunted by that at 5.30 in the fucking morning

so. instead im just thinking about her getting increasingly stressed overtime, and maecetis making her pay a visit to god!stone's temple so she can rest and take a few days off

something something her basically needing to get dragged there, because she doesnt want to leave her goddess' side, but just cant help herself to relax when entering the temple for the first time in a century, because it feels like the weight of the world has suddenly been lifted from her shoulders and like she can breathe again

i see her seeking out the temples high priest in particular. just for a long, long chat, about how he handles his duties while still remaining sane. but then again bro has an uhfair advantage, due to being in a temple of literal sanctuary

maybe she should have asked her own father's high priest instead. he too, is alone with sylvester in the temple, surrounded by relentless rot and decay

Maecetis would 100% make sure High Priestess!Mārīte takes breaks and because of how barren her realm is, she really would drop her high priestess off at God!Stone's temple because it's a place to sleep.

God!Stone wouldn't even mind, he'd greet Mārīte with a bright smile and take her into a bear hug. He has missed her so much and his arms are so warm, a cocoon of warmth. He tells her to stay as long as she needs, it'll be nice to have her in the temple again.

And I'm sure the children of the temple flock to her, asking her all sorts of questions about Maecetis. They want to hear stories of her life with the goddess, because they're convinced Maecetis takes Mārīte on adventures.

i have a few ideas of my own. something something what if she cant be reached if she truly dies;; in the realm of the dead. not lucifer ii's hell tho. methinks you said sarabi was supposed to be the god of death, but couldnt be.. so. she's in the real god of death's realm now

or in limbo. between life and death. maybe something happens and she gets stuck there, unable to live, but unable to die. >:)

You are correct in that one of the places Maecetis wouldn't be able to reach High Priestess!Mārīte if Mārīte was dead and in the pantheon's underworld. And it's because the god of death knows damn well that she would try to bring Mārīte back to life despite knowing she shouldn't and couldn't.

As for another place she can't reach Mārīte... Well, she's still being tight-lipped about that.

im now remembering that. oh yeah. hp!mārīte comes from the god au herself. it would be fitting if she became a godess *eventually* :)

or maybe not. her mother was a mortal, so it seems unlikely she'd get accepted as a fully fledged god, due to still being half-human

I feel like people have tried to hunt High Priestess!Mārīte down because of how much gold she wears, but they quickly learned the hard way that they should in fact not do that. Maecetis has killed a few mortals for the message to not mess with her high priestess to sink in.

Anyone who sees a cat with a ton of gold on said cat knows they should not hunt the cat down. They know better now.
