What would happen in an alternative universe that Minako's parents are alive? They somehow survive the explosion, so how would that impact the story?

Two big differences is the lack of survivor's guilt from Minako's end and much more needed support when her curse rears its ugly head for the first time.

Yes, Minako still suffers from the curse. She's bound to as someone with magical powers and incredibly emotional. The curse also tends to have an effect on the temperament of its victims. Don't forget that she lost her paternal grandmother too, which happened weeks before the explosion that killed her parents. They still move to grandma's house at Grimmauld Place because... well, their old house is kaput. Minako is still sent to RSA and accidentally spirited away to NRC because of the incident at Hogsmeade.

Assuming that Flora and Takashi are mostly intact from the incident, they're the most sound people Minako can listen to other than Flor and Alexis. The parents take on most of the responsibilities that Flor did in the other universe, including going with Ambrose to look for Minako when she has disappeared.

Oh, and you thought Flor was bad? Who do you think inspired the fury of the Nezumi sisters? It's Flora! She's the original flavour! She would not apologize to Ambrose for getting furious with him. Takashi went along for the search to act as the mediator because he knew Flora wouldn't work very well with Ambrose alone.

I kind of feel like the Nezumi siblings, especially Flor, would try to convince their parents to go to Twisted Wonderland with them to help. If anything, they'll need another experienced mage on their side that is young and fit. Not to mention that the parents are Muggles and are still floored by the concept of magic. Flora and Takashi would have argued with their children for an entire week if they weren't so pressed for time.

Crowley is a dead bird once Flora and Takashi meet him. "HOW DARE YOU TREAT OUR DAUGHTER THAT WAY? I'M BOILING YOU IN OIL, YOU UNSEASONED CHICKEN!"

Surprisingly, Flora is quite charmed by Crewel. She thinks he's charismatic. Flor is just seething, asking Minako and Flora how they are related.

Takashi is amazed at just how many boys Minako has managed to attract. It makes him a bit nostalgic, since his wife also attracted lots of men even today. However, his protective dad instincts kicked in when he saw the local eldritch in a uniform (Malleus) standing outside Mugglesworth and when he found out about the sleepovers she has with Adeuce. He's surprisingly scary for someone so mild-mannered.
