Manager of the Camp Kiosk
🍄 Sage Humphries (21 years)
🍄 Manager since 3 years
Tumblr media

"And your memory cannot keep me warm but it never leaves me cold" for the fic thing!
and your memory cannot keep me warm but it never leaves me cold (j/b, amnesia fic, s8 fixit) huh I actually do have a few fun things about this one, but let’s see...
one: all the OCs in jaime’s theater company both dead and alive were named after theater writers from either britain, wales or ireland, specifically william shakespeare, harold pinter, ben johnson, martin mcdonagh, tom stoppard, john dryden, oliver goldsmith, rebecca humphries, alice lowe and hilda vaughan - yes, I’m shit at coming up with names so I basically went for doing the pseudo-homage and gave them the westerosi version of their names. I was 100% sad that I couldn’t name one of them after kit marlowe but alas christopher isn’t a proper westerosi name.
two: the version of the third ballad I reworked (hind horn) is the one that a singer who used to come to my high school to play ballads for a project for english class every year picked to sing and I actually ended up re-using his entire damned book to decide what I was going to use in that fic. admittedly I had the hard rain idea because it was analyzed in that same book (as basically it’s a modern variation on lord randall ie a uber famous scottish ballad from the middle ages that was also featured) and I went like WAAAIT THAT WOULD WORK, and the version of lady isobel and the elf knight I eventually picked was on it too. actually, for ten minutes I tried to rework the porn ballad from the simon and garfunkel version of elfin knight that everyone knows as scarborough fair....... except that the whole parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme thing was actually in there because it was a version about how you should not lie with the elfin knight and I gave up two lines into it because it wasn’t gonna work and stuck with lady isobel. meanwhile shelter from the storm happened because I was obv. on a bob dylan kick, that came up and I went like ‘wait that’s perfect’. spoilers: one of my most famous fic from my supernatural days also heavily featured people being into that song, so I guess that at this point I should just sell myself as the person who sticks that damned song into any fanfic she feasibly can because it’s that good. XD
