#oc: relas

I don't think I've seen you talk much about your other bg3 ocs, who are they and what are they like? And who would/have they romance(d)?

I have a few characters that are parts of Theil's story, otherwise the only other characters I've played in game are two past DND characters!!

Reya - Actually playing her in bg3 as a swap AU, but she was sort of Theil's... Boss? She met Theil in the crime circle of Baldur's Gate and started asking them to do tasks for her, getting bigger and bigger while not offering much in return. However Theil fell for her looks and base level compliments. When they eventually confessed, she laughed in their face and admitted she never cared for them to begin with.

In their anger, they slapped her, and their anger manifested in their magic as flames that scorched her face

She's a dwarf fighter (I. Cannot remember what specialization I haven't touched her file in a bit bc I've been focused on durge Theil) so far for her I'm doing an evil run and romancing Minthara (killing her Minthy deserves better!!!)

And then there are Theil's vampire arc!!! For some reason I get anxious talking Abt post game Theil so I don't think I've mentioned them much, and I can't. Find my picrews of them so guess I'll die (if there's real interest I'll try to find/remake). But. I have a plot where Theil's mortality freaks them out and they end up enslaved for a year til their friends can kill their master and bust them out!! Yay!!

Damien - Their master. Theil jokes that "He's no Cazador" but that's. A massive understatement. He's actually a big ol loser that lives alone in the woods. He sees his spawn (in his mind) less as slaves and more as children, as he outlived his own son and doesn't know how to cope. He actually escaped his own master quite easily, and he, his son, and Ashula, a drow he rescued that his master was going to turn, lived together in the woods.

Ashula - Oldest spawn both in age and time with their vampire master. They were fairly young when Damien rescued them, and lived with him and his son for years. Some time after Damien's son passed, they offered to allow him to turn them so he wouldn't lose them, as well.

They are very much a protective older sibling, loving both their siblings and their "Father," as they call him, dearly. They look out for their siblings as Damien becomes more erratic but even if they could fight against him, they would not.

Yoghan - Second oldest spawn, youngest in terms of age (other than Theil of course). A strange little dwarf who ASKED Damien to turn him "for science." An alchemist by trade, he has a passion for the things he doesn't yet know-including becoming a vampire. He's just a lil freak. I love him.

Aerilaya - Youngest spawn wise, but older age wise than Yoghan. An elf that was saved by Damien where her brother abandoned her in the woods outside of his cabin. Has severe abandonment issues and a fear of being alone. Short tempered but doesn't really mean anything by it, she's just a lil rough around the edges. She really latches onto Theil and getting to be a big sibling and protect Theil (which also shows a lot about how she sees Yoghan and Ashula)

And then my other DND characters!

Relas Drottvez - My first DND character... Half elf paladin of. Fuck I can't remember what oath but I'm 90% sure it's Devotion. He follow Helm and Torm, who I found out after I made this decision tend to have their followers in conflict, but I feel like this makes him particularly interesting to have in bg3? He has this very "all gods are good overall and have good and bad followers of varying levels of Faith" attitude.

He's romancing Gale but in my heart he has Gale, Wyll, and Halsin all smooching his dumb lil gay face.

Also coincidentally he also has a huge fear of wolves and I DID have to make saving throws similar to what Shadowheart does if we encountered wolves in our campaign!

He's gay AF Shadowheart wasn't a romance option. But they def are besties.

Gnam the Tiny - I think they were actually the second DND character I made? They were the second I played, did it for a charity raffle one shot with the DM of Bombarded which is. A fantastic podcast btw and I still think about how he complimented my creativity on a prewritten one shot he's run dozens of times.

They're a gnome barbarian (man I don't even think I've gotten far enough on that file to pick their subclass but I'm probably going w the tome of the beast) that is like. Fully convinced they're an orc bc they were raised in an orc clan.

They're romancing Lae'zel bc. Hell yeah violent woman.

Rory's reaction to Savanaclaw Rook

I haven't completed Rory's profile (yet) but I cannot contain my excitement to see our beloved French in his past glory 🤣 so here's a little rambling under the cut

So the thing is Rory DOES keep tabs on the hottest gossip all around (partially thanks to their clubmate Cater-senpai) so they are aware of Savanaclaw Rook. However, as they enrolled in NRC after Rook has transferred to Pomefiore, they do not know exactly about Savanaclaw version of their upperclassman. So imagine how shocked they are to see him in his even-more-unhinged self.

Rory: You know what, had you stalked me when you looked like this, I would probably have swallowed my pride to beg Azul for help.

Rook: Oh la la, thank you for your compliment Mon Écume! Though I must admit your poisonous resistance back then was absolutely stunning as well! Beauté!

Rory: I...

Rook: And despite how you'd scowled and told me to get lost, you didn't really want to harm me! Your kindhearted nature was also sparkling! 100 points!

Rory: ... I'm starting to think you are the karma for all the time I made Vil-senpai infuriated.

BASIC DESCRIPTION

Full Name: Sabriel "Rela" Farstrider Age: (plot-dependent) early 20s to 160 yrs Species: Aasimar (Planetar-descended); Chondathan Gender: Cisgender Woman Sexuality: Bisexual (Demiromantic)

APPEARANCE (FC is Gugu Mbatha-Raw)

Rela stands at 5'7" (1.7 m). She looks much like a regular human, apart from her lilac skin and the soft feathers that kiss her upper back. Her irises are blue and her curly hair is dark. Although her form is slender, she is toned from years of training with her sword and adventuring in general. She wears dark brown leather boots with tan pants and a dark brown tunic that conceals a layer of plate armor (on her thighs, chest and shoulders). She also wears white bracers blessed by a priest of Mystra, and a dark brown cape. Rela typically wears her hair in locs or a ponytail.

PERSONALITY

Rela is a naturally intelligent person who enjoys knowledge. In her free time, she reads histories of various cultures, which makes her knowledgeable about many different customs. When she does interact with others, she is always polite and open-minded (though she tends to shy away from large groups). She typically treats all members of a species the same, regardless of rank. Her elder guildmates have noted that she can be indecisive when it comes to decisions that directly affect the happiness of other (non-hostile) creatures. And sometimes, they say her attachment to those she forges close bonds with can get in the way of her missions.

BACKGROUND

Lawful Good; Fighter (Dueling & Psi Warrior): her human parent left her on the doorstep of the local fighters' guild, knowing that the Neutral Good people would not hurt the child. The guild named her Sabriel, after an angel that one of the guildmembers claimed to have met during their adventures. They also took turns teaching her languages, acrobatics, history, the arts, magic, and strategy. When she became old enough to be apprenticed, she began studying with the Psi Warrior Fighter Maglos Nerot, who was just a few years her senior. They adventured together for quite some time until he was killed in battle. She is still not sure if she fell in love with him or not, though they were close friends who occasionally slept together (both literally and figuratively). Rela has dedicated herself to the Faerunian goddess of magic Mystra, becoming a devout and thankful follower.

SKILLS

Acrobatics - hers is augmented by her telekinetic ability Athletics - she regularly exerts herself while training/adventuring History - it's her favorite topic to read about when she has time Perception - tends to notice/recall details that others miss Religion - praying gives her strength & confidence
