There probably won’t be a Giles/Ophelia relationship besides Ophelia’s big fat crush but if there were, it wouldn’t be till Ophelia was 18. And it wouldn’t start as soon as she was 18 either. It’d take a while for her to convince him to see her as more than just a child, and Giles would have all sort of moral qualms. But also imagine:

Giles: “Congratulations on graduating.”

Ophelia: Thanks, I’m in love with you.

I’m not sure what Angel & Ophelia’s relationship should be like... Should they be “we’re friends but we’re secretly in love with each other except everyone knows, including us, but we’re never going to do anything about”? Or should they have a relationship, in which case I’d probably have to go the triangle angle since Angel & Buffy’s dynamic is a big part of what pushes the show??

Maybe in Angel’s early days he was in love with a witch who promised him they’d be together again when she died, and then was reborn centuries later as Ophelia except she has no memories of it but the feeling of knowing him?? In which cases, does she have the same face or would she look different?? Would Angel recognize her immediately even without the same face?

All I do know is they’re gonna have this instant sort of connection and be protective of eachother.

Could never write a Buffy fic because I’d want the love interest to be Giles but I can only write teenagers and young adults
