finally. banquet time. she's been waiting for the rest of the party for ages. she's glaring at naoh'a and haharo, last to arrive.

(kuzhuk's been called away to the adventurer's guild, but should be joining them later) (laughing hare will not be joining them but hopes they all have fun)

picked up sam for on'danya and rdm for jofrid before continuing msq with cillien

haven't been taking screenshots of on'danya's progress through hw in large part bc the outfits just haven't been right. i think this is the first time i haven't been able to make the job gear work for one of my characters. fortunately this means we can finally get some (normal) raid rep bc this is perfect for her.

on'danya's having a great time in coerthas. the heavy fabrics of black mage armor were made for this weather.

snowball fight! (naoh'a started it) (cillien participates for a bit at the start before he gets too cold and retires to shiver miserably by the fire pit)

completed the fit! (it's what she'll be wearing for the back half of arr patch story) (weapon and earrings subject to retcon)

and made a portrait for samurai class :)

quick n messy fic in honor of getting kuzhuk to heavensward, just to get the ideas out of my head. spoilers for the end of arr patch content.

Kuzhuk takes Minfilia's hand and pulls her along. Yda and Papalymo can take care of themselves, and Thancred is right. They cannot linger. SHE cannot linger. There are yet too many of them -- now less a pugilist and thaumaturge -- for ease. He has to get them out of here.

He hasn't let go of her hand, and when Y'shtola and Thancred stay behind he once again has to leverage the contact. They, too, can take care of themselves. He pulls her away from her friends once again. With her other hand holding the lamp, she cannot stifle a sob. On'danya offers muttered comfort as they flee farther into the tunnels.

It was scarcely a full minute later when Minfilia stopped so suddenly her hand slipped from his. She exclaims. Says that he and the others must go on while she goes back. "No!" he snaps. Cillien catches his arm as he steps toward her. "No. We can't just leave you."    "You must," she replies with that dutiful firmness of confidence and composure he'd long suspected was a mask like his own. "You are the Warriors of Light. As long as you remain, there is yet hope."     He shakes his head. "I won't leave you."     On'danya takes his other arm. "We don't have time to argue. Hydaelyn's called her; it'll be fine."     "Kuzhuk," Minfilia says, stepping toward him. "My stalwart hero."     Cillien and On'danya release his arms and withdraw a short ways off with the rest of the party.     "I'm sending you out again. You have more than me to worry about. And I don't know when or where you'll return but--"     He hugs her. It seems and eternity and a moment. "Be safe," he utters. "Be safe. For me."     "I-- I will."     He pulls away and there is a fog in his eyes. It takes everything in him to turn and leave her. The sound of her running back the way they'd come makes his stomach churn. "Let's go," he signs in the near-darkness.

(While this all happened, Dagasi looked on with a fierce frown. There'd been no sign of Alphinaud since he'd excused himself on Crystal Brave business, and now the last of their local friends was abandoning them. Had Alphinaud been in on the coup? Or had he not, and been killed for it? Captured? Haharo leaned suddenly into her view, interrupting her thoughts. "I'm sure he's fine," the lalafell said. "He's a clever lad.")

They emerge from the ruins in silence, and make their way up the trail to the main road. There's movement up the way and Haharo is quick to draw her axe, setting herself in front of the party. Two smaller figures, one taller and slender, one shorter and stout. Dagasi gasps and passes her at a full sprint, flinging her arms around the taller one's neck, nearly toppling him with the force of her embrace. It’s Alphinaud. Haharo releases the breath she'd been holding and smiles. That's one friend recovered. Though still no sign of Hare. Please, she prays, please let her be all right.

first stormblood play session done and i figuratively sat cillien down and picked his brains about what's happened so far. started a fresh note to keep track of initial thoughts. okay! it's something!

hw also did this thing early on where it gives you two quests at the same time that you can complete in any order. i decided the best way to deal with it back then was to split my full party of ocs into two light parties who then tackle the quests concurrently.

realizing i need to finish writing out cillien and on'danya's first meeting.

the girls!! only took me two months. overall much happier w them than the boys, so i’m gonna see if i can’t redraw them. ideally w less blank space.
