lore drops!!!! there's a lot of possibilities to make stuffs work with nia with the new information i have

the first idea is to say that nia's original backstory did happen separate from ari. meaning that she technically did have a childhood and the past was just altered to make it possible, along with becoming an interceptor, but got super unlucky with bio parents. basically the time person added a new character to the timeline with a backstory and had the other main characters rest in her subconscious while nia lived her life.

the second idea is that the backstories are one in the same, so it happened to ari (and axel) and nia suffered the same effects and such under the illusion it was her memory and hers only. fun fact, i originally imagined nia having two other siblings, one specifically being a brother she was close to. that's ironic lmao

the third, ari was simply reborn much earlier into nia and is revived as a newborn instead of a 17 year old, and ari is just a past life, which also is closest to canon while also not changing as much. here the only thing that was altered in the past was the interceptor stuff, plus getting nearby people in the area to discover baby nia, and it was just by chance that nia got terrible parents. (they weren't terrible in the beginning. things just went on a downward spiral as she got older.)

isn't there a theory that the mainline pokemon games are split into two universes as a result of the ultimate weapon firing?

... remember when rejuv mentioned mc came from a different world? or something?

what if the reason why nia is just crazy good at battling is because she became a champion in said other universe.

just now realizing all 3 of the main girls have dangerously low self preservation. which is funny because all 3 of those games have moments where mc could have very much died

sars is the only one that hasn't had survivor's guilt, and nia technically doesn't have it, but it's very possible that she can develop it

rhea is a literal ball of guilt esp if it's like a solaris reshiram situation. unsure exactly what even pushed reborn mc out of the way on victory road and idk if they ever showed you (...or im forgetting again)

nia being afraid of her own power....the way she can't escape her role as interceptor....no matter where she runs she's changing everything... she's forced to deal with the fact that she can't escape the possibility of one of her biggest fears could come true with one wrong choice..

no pressure though, right?

okay so that's horror number what... *checks list* just about nine for nia. geez. poor girl is ending up pretty trauamtized. for reference, as of victory road rhea has had around 14 traumatic experiences. nia has had over half already.

tbf i've progressed a lot more in reborn and i'm not even done with the current content in either. i can almost guarantee there's at least another one for rhea.

but still, i want to give nia a bubble bath and tell her she can rest now. but am i gonna. nope she is in a whole new world rn because she didn't watch ninjago. /ref

4. Receiving a present

i've already answered this one for 'sara but in short they don't think they deserve the gift, but appreciates it regardless of worthiness or not.

nia is very happy to get something. depending on how thoughtful the gift is she might start crying. see when ren gave her nancy's sylveon that i named valen. she had no clue how else to react so she just started crying and thanked him over and over again. i really like that moment in the game it was so sweet :)

5. Giving someone a present

kisaragi doesn't think they're very good at giving presents, but they generally put a lot of thought into it. the more they like a person, the more thought it gets. that usually just means more ideas have been discarded because this gift has to be perfect every single time.

nis usually just sees something, thinks about a person (like, [person] would like this. i think they should have it) and then buys it. sometimes that leads to some.. odd choices when it comes to aelita. she's picked up a rock and given it to her because she thought of her. when aelita asked how a rock made nia think of her she casually said that aelita is almost always on her mind.

9. Being in a party

sara hates it get them out. parties usually have bright flashing lights. sara can be sensitive to artificial lights so naturally they have some aversion to parties. even without that trait, they'd still not be a fan. it's too loud and people talk too much and some idiot is trying to hit on them and they're not having it with this migraine but for some reason they won't take no for an answer- the only reason why sara is even there is because reeve dragged them there for some reason.

nia is the party. she enjoys them quite a bit, she gets to hang out with and meet so many new people. they're all so interesting to her. some people like juice just like her and other people prefer things... not just like her. better hope there isn't a dog. she'll be giving the dog so many ear scratches and head pats and good boys. poor dog probably doesn't even get that much attention anyway :( never fear, nia is here.

i like to think it makes geara even angrier. like he just got his plans ruined again and the culprit just has a grin.

i should write nia more often i love her speech patterns. dropping the i in phrases like "i can't" or how she says i'unno instead of "ion know" or "i don't know." maybe i'll project and have her drop the h in words that end in it, or at least barely pronounce it
