asking from main bc my bg3 blog is a sideblog lool: let's do 13 for Naivara, 10 for Kriivah, and 30 for Whisper! I want to hear from all of them <3333!!

13. Name one thing their parents taught them.

Naivara has been taught so much by her parents - for good and ill. Her father is the one who taught her to cook, thou, if relatively simple meals, as well as how to mend clothes. Practical life skills. He also taught her to relax, to trust, after she had been in survival mode for most of her life.

10. What age do they most want to be right now?

Kriivah doesn't actually know how old they are, and doesn't really consider age when it comes to themself. If it would bring back their memories, they would happily be a year younger, but if not they are fine the way they are. Whatever age that is.

30. What would they do if they knew it would be forgiven?

Whisper would do most things (crimes) regardless of if it would be forgiven or not, honestly, so counting those actions out... Kiss Wyll. For all that he's not the type they'd be in a relationship with, they find him very handsome, and if they could state that curiousity without making their relationships with their friends and partner awkward, they would.

So, I feel like yapping about a kotlc oc. So that's what I'll do! After all, I graduated from Yapping University.

Hehe.

(Fyi, she was supposed to be the daughter oc Councilor Clarette and Derek but that's too complicated to explain...)

Naivara Kara

Naivara’s parents never meant to get together. They loved each other, but they didn’t want to bear the scorn of being a badmatch. So when her mother gave birth, that happened in a hidden place, which is unknown to anyone alive.

But nothing comes easily.

About an hour after Naivara’s birth, all three vanished. No record of their bodies was found. They just simply had disappeared.

With no evidence of them being alive, the Council declared them dead so the families and friends could grieve.

Now, while no one actually knows if Naivara’s parents were alive, one person did know their child was alive.

And that was Naivara herself.

A group of humans found her, but unfortunately for her, these were humans part of an illegal society that yearned to see how certain ‘things’ would change the human if injected into one. Naivara, no older than a day old (well, technically nine months) was taken into custody of vile hands.

They waited for two hours, fearing that the child’s vitals would collapse if they began experimenting too early. Four years later, though, as if things couldn’t get worse for Naivara, a few of these humans came across a bottle of quintense mixed with shadowflux. They didn’t know what this substance was, and they didn’t care. They just wanted to see how a human would be altered if injected into one.

To their disappointment, it did nothing noticeable. So they reverted back to their original methods of using things that they knew what they were and would probably kill Naivara (but they always stopped right when she was basically on the brink of death).

But it did alter her (like Keefe, spoiler alert to those who haven’t read book 9). She began to rapidly manifest abilities (makes no sense, I realize that), ending up with 26 (yes, that’s overpowered, but don’t worry, she’s a softie)

When Naivara was around eight, she escaped. Using her ability as a technopath, she created a powerful bomb, and used her ability as a psionipath to shield herself. The facility (yeah, she was in a facility) was completely obliterated, but luckily, not much beyond that was.

Now, Naivara might have been in human standards only an hour old before mysterious things happened. But she’s an elf, and they know how to speak and understand as soon as they pop into existence. So she knew that she wasn’t a human, and she also had an idea on how to get back to her home. Her parents had talked about ‘leaping’ back (according to her photographic memory) and her mother had asked her mother if he brought his pathfinder. And apparently her father had said he left it, but brought their home crystal. Naivara pieced that together and two seconds later, she was starting to search for a crystal that did weird things.

Coincidentally, the facility was near London. She went around looking at jewelry while trying to vanish. (It mostly worked, since she practiced a little when she was captive) Fortunately for her, no one paid any attention.

About two weeks later, she found the lantern with the crystal (don’t ask how she survived for two weeks). And since Naivara was an elf, she could read the rune. Being determined and all, she found a way to clamber up and grab it (does that work?) She held it up to the light of the lantern, formed a path, and leaped.

That went quite well.

Skip to when she wakes up (I don’t wanna write that stuff) at the Foxfire healing center. Alden decided to go back and check that place Sophie and Dex ended up in (that didn’t happen but who cares). Freaked - out - Alden hurried Naivara to Elwin and blah blah blah bunch of DNA testing stuff later, my poor oc was adopted by two elves with no children - Viola and Harrik Regeny.

No one knew about Naivara’s 26 abilities, though (I forgot to mention I made up four abilities (not including Keefe's m-blobs). They probably exist just Shannon hasn’t named them yet…), since she had some ‘trust’ issues. (You would to, trust me) But another good thing for her, the elemental abilities weren’t as strong as normal elemental abilities would be (I don’t know how that would work, but just to counteract her having too many abilities), so she wasn’t constantly setting things on fire, blinking in and out, flooding Atlantis, and nothing destructful.

Book 9 happens. She starts Foxfire, since she’s about 10 now.

Airell Allaway (new): Link's son (specifically in ships with Mipha). Yeah... Second generation muses rarely get used. Also, I don't know of a lot of active Mipha RPers.

Aislinn Nohansen Hyrule (new): The second daughter of Shanz and reginalucem's Jacinto, Aislinn literally gets no chance for use outside of my discord rps with reginalucem. Also, second generation muses (muses who are children of my other muses) get use extremely rarely.

Bran Blackscale (re-add): Second gen, also only has a ship with Noel, who is also second gen.

Brendan Nohansen Hyrule (new): The son of Shanz and Jacinto. See Aislinn.

Caelynn Faenorin (re-add): I really loved Link's squad, but that's a lot of buck for very little bang (lots of muses that very few people want to interact with). Also would have to update Caelynn's art by quite a bit.

Connie Michaels (re-add): Again, little bang for my buck, despite being part of Link's squad.

Croia Mulrennan (new): Wynne's granddaughter. Love her to bits for being a huge lesbian and trans. Unfortunately, third generation muses are even less usable than second gen.

Cyrus (re-add): A Goron! Unfortunately the novelty of a Goron muse vanishes quickly when no one's interested in rping with him. Also, Link's squad.

Delphine Langlois (re-add): If only I had more muse for her.

Fennec Blackscale (re-add): I love him a lot, and he's a pure delight in his roleswap verse with aktinxvoliia, but unfortunately third generation muses are EVEN HARDER to use than second gen. Which sucks because Fennec is amazing. Also, bringing him back probably means bringing back his younger sister Felicity, who I don't have much muse for.

Feridai Zama (new): Bestie of Lita, but I have a lot of muses already. She doesn't have a lot of potential... unless I overhaul her a bit.

Fluffy Brighid (new): A talking cat. Hell yes. Why not. Because she doesn't have too much depth since she's a cat.

Jason Dinrel (re-add): I mean. Yes, I've already changed his plotline so that he doesn't die young in his canon verse, but like. He's... A bit too much Dinrel. And Shanz, his likeness across the multiverse, gets no takers anyways.

Ki (re-add): A Zora! But Link's squad.

Meritz Arcuna (new): Because Lita and Wulf get so few takers. Why should I change Meritz to survive his canon verse, let alone be featured here?

Ragna Llwyd (re-add): One of the few folks from the descendants crew I could see myself bringing back because she's still present even in Age of Calamity (dragons, man). Unfortunately she's a bit exclusive to that verse, since in AoC she's still baby.

Tallula Brighid (new): While she does have some fun characterization outside of being Leonard's beloved, she still feels a bit one-note. She's also two muses in one since she comes with Fluffy, but that's two pages to make for essentially one character.

Tamamo Mae (new): Yes. I know. I made an OC based on Tamamo-no-Mae, because why not have a keaton in Hyrule like that. (I love foxes, don't murder me). But she very heavily tied to both the second gen and King Uther (don't ask how), so that's hard to wrangle.

Uther Skeates Hyrule (new): He'd be a delight for sure, but how many folks are chill with villains? Also I'm a little scared to really implement my worldbuilding on the blog. Also, he's gen zero– his vanishing is why Rhoam was made king when he was. (He also qualifies as gen 2, don't ask.)

Zehka Orokane (re-add): I love this idiot, he's great, hilarious, etc etc. However, he has no ties to anyone but Delphine and Hubert.

Occupation: Wandering adventurer/mercenary Background: Criminal Class: Druid (Spore) Past Occupations: Pick pocket, thief, robber

Significant Other: Gale Best Friend(s): Shadowheart, Halsin Close Friends: Lae’zel, Wyll, Karlach, Astarion Family Issues: Naivara was born with her life planned out for her by her grandmother, mother, and aunts, being meant as a tool to serve their house as well as Lolth. She was raised to serve, with little autonomy of her own - though by far better off than the few of her brothers and male cousins deemed worthy of life. While har father managed to rescue her and several of the other children, this upbringing still has left its scars, and she still doesn’t know whether or not someone is looking for them, or if they got written off as losses. Religious Views: As a young girl, Naivara was taught to serve Lolth and to give her life to the service of the goddess and her family, to the point of still knowing a vast amount of her religious teachings by heart, but these days she is endlessly more prone to praying to the Oakfather.

Overall Personality: Naivara is, at the core of her very being, a very kind and sweet person who wants to help every unfortunate person she comes across - as long as they don’t have more money than sense, of course. She is a bit of a busy body, and rarely can leave well enough alone, but she ultimately means well. She has a solid moral core despite her illicit activities, and she tends towards being genuine with people, favoring to give what excess she steals to those who struggle to afford food - and when she can’t help people by stealing, she will try to help them with what druidic magic she knows. This general attitude of good deeds yields great rewards and her relentless optimism hides her considerable hatred for her own form due to her resemblance to her mother, concealing it as being humble with a self-sacrificial streak. She does not seek power, not really, but she does desire to change herself in such a way she can look herself in the mirror without nearly breaking down. While her positive outlook makes her come off as naïve to some, she is surprisingly shrewd, with a good eye for people she can trust and people she can’t, and she is incredibly experienced with two-faced backstabbers in particular - to the point it reminds her of home. ( Ok so I have played 5 hrs of the game so far and already in love. Definitely adding some new characters and some new verses so tentatively: ~ Elysia Caius and Naivara Galonodel are both getting a rook verse ~ New OCs/Rooks are Sterling, Rowan, and Mia. Bios coming soon. ~ Neve is almost definitely being added. ~ Lucanis, Davrin, and Emmrich are VERY strong potentials but I haven't gotten them yet to decide ~ Lace and Bellara are possibles. As is Taash (who I also have not gotten yet). Ok i'm finally done with my unplanned obligations for the evening so I'm going back to the game. Whisper doesn't mind it. They would rather avoid fights if possible, favoring words over violence, but if it comes down to it they wouldn't lose any sleep.

Kriivah... well... look... they really, really enjoy it. They love it. They have enough self-control to be diplomatic, but they feel joy if it comes down to having to kill someone. The more care they get to put into the killing, the better. That they refuse to kill when its disadvantagous to their goals, or when they have people they don't want to harm, doesn’t take away from this.

Naivara does not like to kill. She wants to avoid it wherever is possible. When she does have to, she can't bring herself to regret it, but it will never be her first resort.

Other OCs of mine associated with Sableflame and the Blackscales (a few muses, most not)

Erdan Tiltathana: He has an AoC verse, and because I couldn't justify the presence of a Twili in that time, he's a Shiekah from Sableflame. Escaped its razing through sheer luck, though he lost everything like his family. Adventured across Hyrule for a time alongside Naal and some others, now content to teach the next generation about strength and its value, in Hyrule Castle Town. Naal Berevan: Again, has an AoC verse as a Shiekah because no Twili in that time. Like Erdan, he's from Sableflame and escaped as a child, and happened to meet Erdan later in life and fell in love with this other survivor of a genocide. Adventured across Hyrule for a time alongside Erdan, and opened a magic item shop in Hyrule Castle Town after retiring from that life. Rinn Berethana: Erdan and Naal's firstborn, a girl obsessed with magical artifacts. Del Berethana: Erdan and Naal's second child, a girl who wants to keep her family safe, using the sword skills taught by her father.

Fennec Bhelthir: Bran's son and firstborn by his Hylian wife, Noel Bhelthir. Although Bran didn't want Fennec ending up as a thief or a criminal, it turned out to be what Fennec was best at. Felicity Bhelthir: Bran's daughter and secondborn, again by Noel Bhelthir. Felicity also picked up the sticky fingers trait from Bran, but also an obsession with magic and magical artifacts from her mother as well.

Masumi Akabane: Originally an urchin from Sableflame who resented the other residents for what he knew as a dog-eat-dog world. Grew up to become a criminal with various talents in the underworld, and was hired by King Uther to find his missing beloved, Enid. When he returned with Enid's corpse, Uther kept him around and made him a royal guard rather than killing him for being the bearer of bad news.

Sheezrar Faenorin: Lambda's biological father, husband of Naivara, elder brother of Enai Faenorin. A lord who was slain in the razing of his manor. His brother Enai inherited the Faenorin holdings after this. Enai Faenorin: Sheezrar's younger brother, father of Bethrynna, Caelynn, Heian, and Valna. Lord Faenorin, since Sheezrar's untimely demise. Studies magic, especially the strange magic he can perform with his mind. Sysgaia Faenorin: Wife of Enai, originally Lambda's aunt before the Faenorin manor was razed and Lambda was adopted by the Blackscales. Originally Sysgaia Blackscale, whose parents hailed from Sableflame and controlled a very profitable trading company. Possesses shadow magic, courtesy of her patron, the dragon spirit Sirredes. Bethrynna Faenorin: Firstborn child of Enai and Sysgaia Faenorin, set to inherit the Faenorin holdings; a wealthy artisan married to a Hylian man with a young daughter, Birelle Faenorin, who... has no notes in my OC document. Hm. Caelynn Faenorin: Secondborn child of Enai and Sysgaia Faenorin. Former muse on this blog. Enlisted as a soldier and has developed more than a few martial skills (especially with her bare hands, as a martial artist). Heian Faenorin: Thirdborn child of Enai and Sysgaia Faenorin. A soldier for a brief time, until his first battle earned him some PTSD, after which point he retired from that career and retreated to a temple of the dragon spirits, which has soothed that terrible scar since. Valna Faenorin: Fourthborn child of Enai and Sysgaia Faenorin, their youngest. Lost a leg in an accident, and she did without for a time until she met an ancient fae dragon who gave her a magical wooden leg to her that both functions like a real leg and confers a weakness to fire.

AoC/BotW/TotK Zelda (in this blog's headcanon) has strikingly powerful light and time powers. The most powerful that has been seen in the royal family for some time, in fact; her mother Rhiannon possessed weak magical ability, as did her grandmother Bridget, though Bridget (and her elder sister Enid, who possessed more potent abilities) could hear and see Koroks.

But there's more!

Enid, Zelda's great-aunt, did have a child in her time on the streets as a runaway. A daughter named Naivara (formerly a muse). Naivara's still alive, and she has some magical skill, though time is more her forte than light, and she used it for larcenous purposes up until she married a noble with significant Sheikah blood (Sheezrar Faenorin). She had two children– Valanthe, who inherited no power from Naivara, but instead inherited abilities similar to Sheezrar's psychic ones– and much later, Lambda.

Lambda inherited potent light powers with little to no time powers to speak of. The time abilities are there– if she is taught, she can use Recall, but she may have difficulty getting it down. Her light power, on the other hand, came to her as naturally as breathing– she's always been able to use it, and it's always been strong, and she's always had excellent control over it. As a Lightbearer sage, if Lambda were to acquire a spike of Hylanas, her light magic would only become more powerful. As it is, she's still formidable.

And there's another individual with blood ties to the royal family. Kendra Majeru of Necluda. Her blood ties go back further than Lambda's, but long ago, a secondborn daughter of the royal family married into the noble family that watches over Necluda. Kendra inherited potent time abilities, but has almost no control over light. Unfortunately Kendra isn't a muse on this blog because she's got no squad developed, unlike Lambda and the Blackscales, and her story isn't quite as interesting to the mun as Lambda's. (Also Lambda is THE blorbo of his OCs.)

RE: Valanthe (who is not a muse either). She inherited no sacred abilities from the royal bloodline (or sagehood, which would normally go to the firstborn of the line) because she has a powerfully evil heart. She enjoys the suffering of others, and uses the powers she inherited from her father for this purpose, and to further her personal goals.
