My god I just remembered this unfinished/abandoned WIP after I had access to my arts again; Martin walking away from his McLaren after a suspension failure

Random fact about this guy, my maned wolf F1 driver

Is that he was supposed to be a cheetah at first

(in line with cheetah being the fastest mammal on the planet, so naturally fitting for a racing driver oc)

But Martin was my first attempt at creating a furry oc (after years and years of being a dragon purist) and cheetah heads were so flipping difficult to get right.

And that's just the head shape. Nevermind trying to replicate the fur pattern

My favorite mammal of all time and I couldn't sketch him consistently enough so I had to fall back to my next favorite mammal: maned wolves

Fortunately maned wolf head is a lot closer to the typical dragon head that I'm so used to drawing; just add massive ears and a thick mane (self explanatory)

If you told me 6 years ago I would be designing a fursona for my own, I would've thought you've gone mad, because I was such a dragon purist.

Well, times have changed I suppose.

Martin Revello, MR73, McLaren Formula 1 driver. 29-years-old British-Italian maned wolf who got really into racing to honor his late grandfather's wishes. A bit shy and timid off the track, confident and precise on the track.

Not the fastest driver on the grid, but he's bagged two third-place finishes and several fastest laps.
