“Cecil? Oh, Atticus! Hmmmm… He’s definitely dedicated and overly prepared for whatever career choice he has. I don’t even think I’ve seen someone as bookworm-ish as him, and trust, I’ve gone to a school that’s just full of bookworms and overachievers. Hell, I’m an overachiever, my damn self. To the surprise of no one, his grades are really good, and the only ‘struggle’ classes he has are non-academic ones. Y’know what? I actually need to talk to him about that ‘cause he’ll need those grades to be better if he wants a good GPA. But moving on, the kid’s a real hoot, like he’ll flip out if someone interrupts his personal study sesh’, not good. Depending on the path he takes, he'll need to exit his lil’ bubble and interact with others more often if he wanna make it far in his career. ESPECIALLY if he’s tryna’ get into politics, like boy, you’ll need to talk a lot and be more attentive to your surroundings rather than just your books. Overall, a good, hard-working kid who just needs a lil' work done on him. But at the same time, who doesn’t?”

Interaction

Cecil speedwalks past a dozen-and-one students as he travels over to Annabella’s office. She spoke to him briefly in the library about wanting to speak immediately after school & to not quote, “...give her any lip on the matter. He’ll find some time in his dorm to study.” Bumping a couple of shoulders, he finally steps in front of her office door, a door that will lead to a very much unwanted conversation on whatever she needs to talk about that he won't pay any mind to. He precisely knocks hard on the gold & orange-decorated door; a soft “come in” follows shortly after.

“Good afternoon, Atticus. How are ya’?” Annabella greets him as he steps into the office, placing his bookbag in the brown chair adjacent to the one he sits in.

“Cecil. And I’m okay. What is this meeting about?” Cecil replies quietly.

“Right, Cecil, my apologies. That’s good, also! Anywho, this meetin’s about your grades and whatcha’ wanna do after you leave school.”

Yep, called it. Cecil knew she wanted to speak about something he had already taken care of.

Annabella furrowed her eyebrows. “By the look on ya’ face, you-on wanna talk for long. That’s groovy, that’s cool. I just need ta’ know what you wanna do for your career, and I need ta’ tell you ‘bout your grades and how to improve them.”

“Great, I— wait, huh?” Cecil stammers. “My grades are fine. I have an A+ in every class.”

“Every class you deem necessary, not every class. Photography and music are fine, B’s are still good, but shop and gym are whoopin’ you. Ah, sorry, I meant that those grades aren’t lookin’ the best.” Annabella disagreed, “If you’re tryna’ get a better GPA, you’ll hafta’ pull those grades up. It’s definitely achievable; ya’ just need ta’ put the work in. Plus, you still got some time, abooutt like 6-7 weeks.” Annabella’s hand placed over her mouth slightly, she tilts her head to look over towards Cecil. He has a very distasteful expression on his face, a mixture of disgust & awe. “Orr, you could just stick with the grades you got right now. It’s truly up to you; I’m just givin’ advice.”

“Why would I pay attention to classes that mean nothing to my future? And why are they even required?” Cecil huffed, “These classes shouldn’t even be on my schedule.”

“I’m studying to become a prosecutor, you think I wanna do art class either? The only ones I’ve opted out of are the ones I’ve already taken at my former school. We’re in the same boat.” Annabella countered, “But guess what I do? I still do the best I can in those classes ‘cause I like havin’ a good transcript and GPA. Something you’ll need if you want a good, easy time with college applications and college in general.”

Annabella stares into Cecil’s eyes sternly but with some compassion. She’s had this exact discussion with plenty of different students, each giving their own excuses & pushback. She understands, but she also knows that electives are required just as much as regular courses. Cecil looked ever so slightly perturbed, staring back into Bella’s eyes. They had a mini staring contest until Bella looked over to her clock, which read “3:56.” She did not feel like keeping them both here longer than needed.

“Look. I’m talking with you not just ‘cause Crab-apple will get on my case about it, but also ‘cause you’re a smart kid. Like, a super-duper smart, phenomenal student. Yeah, some of your grades don’t reflect that, and it’s okay. You can still get into a nice college even with grades that are a lil’ messy, so don’t freak out on that, but I don’t need you getting comfortable with flunking classes you don’t think are needed. ‘Cause trust, that’s a great way to get your lil’ self kicked outta college or on academic probation.” Annabella never liked lecturing any of the students because it mostly goes through one ear & out the other. However, Cecil seemed to be listening & was very silent, & one thing Bella knew was that he’d voice his opinion pretty openly & quickly. Glancing back over to her clock, it now read “4:05.”

“Let’s leave this meetin’ at that. I’m glad you found the time to talk with me, and I hope you take this into consideration!” Annabella concluded, closing the “Atticus Cecil Sinclair” labeled manila folder.

“I’ll think about it. It would be better to have higher grades, even if it’ll be a pain to raise them. Gym, especially.”

Bella giggled at the moping, “Yeaaa, gym’ll definitely do that to you. Well, I hope you have a pleasant rest of your day, Cecil!”

“Au revoir, Annabella.” Cecil bids his farewell, thankful she didn’t notice they never spoke on his career choices. Else, the conversation would’ve lasted another hour.

“OH, we still need to talk about what you wanna do after you graduate! Let’s discuss that next week!”

Lynette + Annabella

“She. Don’t. Play. And I do like that part about her a lot. This school’s all fu- messed up to the point where if anyone stands against bullyin’, they’re gonna crucify you. Though, sometimes she can be a bit much, which then I can understand why some may not like her. But even then, I know her persistence has helped somebody not feel alone and that there are people who care about them. Would’ve been real helpful at my last school. She puts up a good fight, and we need more like that around this bummy school, and once you get to know her well, she’s a super fun girl who has a heart of gold. I can definitely see her being in politics, law, or counseling."

Interaction

Fights. The average student loves them, the average student council member does not, and the average prefect has to break them up before blood splatters everywhere. This time it was two female students, loads of hair pulling & nails scratching away layers of foundation seeped into the other's skin. Annabella is the unfortunate prefect to have to see them fighting. ‘Man, why couldn’t one of the other ones see it first?!’ she thinks to herself. Seeing students run over to the fight, she knew she had to break it up before some others jumped in because kids just love to jump right into danger for some reason. She rushes over & grabs the shirt of one of the girls while pushing the other girl away with her leg.

“STOP! BEFORE I DRAG BOTH Y’ALL BY THE COLLAR UP TO CRABBLESNITCH!” Annabella demanded.

“SHE TOOK MY DIARY, SHE WON’T LEAVE ME ALONE. TELL HER TO—”

“PFFT, WHY WOULD I TAKE YOUR STUPID ASS BOOK, SNAGGLE-TOOTH?!”

“BECAUSE YOU WON’T LEAVE ME THE HELL ALONE, YOU STUPID BI—”

Yeah, this is getting bad. The supposed victim of the book snatching was starting to break down, which made her more irrational. Her swings were beginning to strike Annabella, biiiig no-no. Annabella lifted both the blonde & the brunette by the collars, like she said, & began walking over towards the school’s front doors. Bella heard a collection of ‘woah,’ ‘narc, ’’& ‘ugh, buzzkill’ as she walked away from the well-formed crowd of students. She spotted a male prefect texting on his phone (amazing) & death-glaringly asked him to help with the escort. As the quad traveled up the steps, Annabella noticed the brunette sobbing quietly, her head hanging low to keep her face & tears from showing. This left a sting in Annabella’s throat & an ache in her heart. She knew that feeling all too well & just simply rubbed the girl’s back softly.

One long half-assed scolding from Crabblesnitch & Danvers later, the girls were given the option of either discipline or detention, but the catch was the girls couldn’t do the same thing so that they would be away from each other. The blonde obviously chose detention since it’s much better to sit around doing nothing than doing a ton of manual labor for 3 hours. It felt like some kind of extra bullying through school-mandated punishment. Annabella spoke up, stating that this isn’t fair punishment for one to do labor while the other gets to do next to nothing. Either they alternate punishment, 1.5 hours of detention & 1.5 hours of discipline, or they both get the same punishment. Soon after she spoke, Lynette walked in to agree, & she explained better on how one discipline & one detention is a lazy attempt at stopping a bigger issue at hand. The blonde girl slightly twists her head to look at the two, prompting them to stare back intensely. Crabblesnitch & Danver glance at each other before nodding in agreement.

“This is the third time I've had an issue with that girl & her bullying Angelina. That was genuinely the first time Crabblesnitch had punished her, & WE had to tell him how to!” Lynette was exasperated. Annabella has heard her complain about this situation between Joseline & Angelina more than she’d like to, but that fight gave her a good reason as to why Lynette was so keen on this hot mess. “When Angelina was crying on you, I heard her say that Joseline had ripped pages out of her diary & hid them. How insane do you have to be to do something that heinous?!”

Annabella pondered, looking at her grotesque pizza, before she slowly said, “I’m more concerned that Crabblesnitch don’t give a shit about the bullying ‘round here. Like, I knew he was an idiot, but damn, that is a great way to end up getting sued & for this school to goin’ down the drain.”

“RIGHT?!” Lynette shouted, & this caused a few to turn their heads. “Sorry, sorry, …But seriously though, he’s terrible for this school. His ignorance & encouragement is going to end up with a student ... harming or killing themself.”

The thought alone disturbs the both of them deeply, eliciting a shudder from Lynette & a deeply concerned expression to dash across Annabella’s face. They both feel the urge to do something, but what exactly could they do? It’s not like they could release a newspaper story on the severe bullying students experience within Bullworth. …Actually, yes, they can. That’s literally the newspaper club’s job. And on they went to bother Cecil & the others with their amazing plan!

Called by almost all of the students in Bullworth Academy, it's because she can be very serious when it comes to bullying, violence and other bad things happening in the academy and would not hesitate to punish the students who does it)

Background:

She was born and raised in Bullworth, New England to William 'Billy' McKinney, a retired lawyer and Diane 'Annie' McKinney (neé Henderson), a police officer. Growing up, she learned from her mother that violence, bullying and discrimination in general is never the answer and she took it too seriously. When she arrived at Bullworth Academy at the age of 11, she was shocked and distraught of much bullying and violence there at a single school. It was an actual nightmare for her and it feels like she just walks into a place that she should be avoiding. So her only solution is to stop the violence and the bullying by becoming a student council, not a prefect. The reason for it is that she can advocate for anti-bullying and anti-violence and make PSAs about it, she hopes that at least few students would follow her footsteps. Surprisingly, she was the first student council in 11 years and the youngest yet to be one. Slowly, there are 3 students who later become student councils and follow Lynette's footsteps to stop the violence and the bullying in Bullworth Academy. Lynette went on making PSAs every year and showing it to the whole student at the gym (there weren't any perfect places for it :/), even if it gets made fun of by the half of the population in school, she doesn't care and keeps on making it

Personality:

Lynette is probably the most mature student person ever at such a young age, she follows every rule strictly and acts like she's the police of the academy... Seriously. If she sees someone tormenting other kids, she would yell at them and tell them to stop or else she would tell Dr. Crabblesnitch about it, and it works... But it doesn't stop them from bullying and tormenting someone. Everyone says that she doesn't have any fun in her life and is always grumpy for some reason, which in her opinion is NOT true. She can be a fun person sometimes, it's just that she thinks being fun all of the time would distract her from advocating anti-bullying and anti-violence and probably making her forget about it, she just doesn't want to be a bad student if she gets distracted. She takes the maturity from her mother who's her role model, she wants to be like her growing up and thinks that she's the best mother ever, always grateful for teaching her the good things. She's very passionate about her being a student council and doesn't stop herself from advocating, even if it doesn't affect the 95% of the school population, she thinks the reason is that the students are not mature enough and they'll realize and change their behavior/attitude once it begins to affect them. If someone is being aggressive to her, she doesn't back down and WILL fight them if she has to but mostly she doesn't and hope that she never will because she hates violence and violence is never the answer. She's a very organised person, from colors to books that she read and recently read. She hates seeing unorganized books and seeing colors that don't match at all, it really bothers her a lot. Only the people who are really close to her can know that she's a very funny person, she's always making jokes, mostly about the cliques and other students in Bullworth and it makes them laugh every time

Overall, Lynette just wants Bullworth Academy to be a safe place for students and faculties

Lynette, Cecil and Joo-yeon's opinions + interactions with @aquaberryvanilla's Nora Dorn

Lynette

Opinions: she thinks Nora is a brat but at the same time, Nora is not THAT bad, well at least that's what Lynette thought before actually encountering Nora. Lynette doesn't really expect her to be different from the preps, and is annoyed by Nora's behavior but Lynette gets that she has to be rude back towards people who are rude to her, Lynette has been there before and she's no angel (she once broke someone's nose). Apart from that, Lynette hates when people think that violence is the answer (unless SOME deserves it...) and there're multiple ways to make people go away, and that is threats (in Lynette's opinion, it is not violent at all)

Overall, Lynette understands Nora but still thinks she's a brat

Interactions: although she hates treating people differently, she would only scold Nora and that's it due to Nora being from a rich family and she's also a prep, Lynette has been dealt with preps threatening her that they would tell their parents about it and their parents have connections to almost everything, so she kind of stop doing much more than a scolding. She would say to Nora irritatingly, "did I tell you you could walk away?' if she walks away from her, the AUDACITY Nora has and Lynette is literally older than her, where's the respect??? I feel like Lynette would give up on scolding Nora (which is so rare for her to do that) if she keeps on insulting her or giving mean comments when Lynette is around, she can't keep it up anymore and she feels like she's drowning in a pool of Nora's hatred towards her

Opinions: he knows who she is due to both of their moms being friends and he doesn't really have any negative opinions other than her being a 'dumb and snobby prep' in his eyes. He doesn't expect Nora to be rude towards him since he's from an old money family but he would be annoyed if he sees Nora bullying his fellow nerds even though he doesn't give a damn about somebody bullying somebody. He would probably know Nora's secret crush on Derby, which is not a secret at all because it's really obvious to Cecil and he's, like, so confused because what does she see in him? Money? Anyways, Cecil would be kind of flustered if Nora flirts with him because he finds Nora a little bit attractive but nevertheless, she's not... His type. He would see right through her of Nora's act of being nice towards him and Beatrice because he saw many incidents of Nora being mean towards his other fellow preps and he thinks it's because of pretty privilege, Cecil and Beatrice being the only two nerds who are decent and somehow attractive

Overall, Cecil doesn't mind about Nora except for the fact that he finds her dumb and snobby prep

Interactions: if he finds Nora bullying his fellow nerds while he's studying, he would either throw a book at her (specifically at her head) or slam his hand on the table so that it can make a loud noise that makes Nora stop and turn to look at Cecil. He would take off his glasses for Nora when she asked him to do so, and it's not even the first time a girl asks him to take off his glasses, he would say to her in a teasing but blunt voice "are you satisfied?". He would NOT give Nora his study notes, he would tell her to do it herself and telling to stop being lazy but that ended up with them arguing over study notes

Joo-yeon

Opinions: she would think of Nora as someone who's mean but not really mean after seeing her being nice to her fellow preps. Besides that, if she finds Nora being confused as to why Joo-yeon is a tomboy rather than a girly girl type of girl, she wouldn't understand why Nora would be confused about that, any girl can be whatever they want and not only just being a girly girl. The second thing she doesn't like about Nora is that she laughs when Joo-yeon falls to the ground due to her clumsy nature and even though she's used to it in her entire life, she doesn't like how Nora laughs at her :/

Overall, Joo-yeon doesn't really have any other opinions of Nora and she thinks Nora is kind of nice, especially towards preps

Interactions: Joo-yeon would be embarrassed and annoyed as hell if Nora laughs at her for falling. It's not her fault that she's clumsy and she tries not to be but fails

Opinions: she really likes him platonically and considers Andre as one of her friends. She really doubted at first that he had a soft heart when she noticed him for the first time and after chatting with him for the first time, she's right. However, she's a little disappointed that Andre got into too much trouble but never admitted to him because she doesn't want to hurt his feelings

Overall, Frankie and Andre are friends :3

Interactions: Frankie would let him play her hair if she feels comfortable while reading a novel that she has. She would also help Andre study in the library, tutoring him in a serious but her own way so that he could focus. Frankie would give him some pastries from her mother's bakery if he's hungry or as a way to tell that she's glad that he's her friend

Charlie

Opinions: she thinks Andre is pretty decent and not a douchebag. When he said about her eyes being teal, she almost snorted but she maintained her resting face because she doesn't want to get teased for snorting at his 'joke'. Her first impression of him is that she thought he was like a troublemaker who bullies people, so she tried to stay away from him. But after an incident which led the two of them to bump into each other (actually, Charlie is at fault in this because she was skating with her headphones as usual), she changed her mind about him and now she feels neutral towards him

Overall, they're not friends but they talk

Interactions: if Charlie wasn't listening to her headphones and feels fine (she's moody all the time :/), she would let Andre to count her freckles because it amused her. Andre and Charlie would skate around together with her wearing her headphones to some songs while Andre yapping to her about random stuff, knowing damn well she's NOT listening 😭

Barbara

Opinions: to be really honest, she judged him so much because she thought he was like the rest of the bullies due to his appearance (mainly his clothes) and also some rumors/gossips about him (all of them are LIES 😭😭😭). A week later, she changed her mind slowly about Andre after they were assigned as lab partners in Biology, he was really kind to her and that made Barbara think twice about him. Now, she doesn't judge him and instead she becomes neutral towards him and becomes his friend

Overall, Barbara and Andre are friends but they don't talk much

Interactions: she allows Andre to brush her hair in a situation where it's necessary since it's nice having another person to brush her hair. She would gossip to him about someone (and the source is Christy Martin), whether he believes it or not. They would hang out at the carnival for fun or if they're bored and have nothing to do, playing different games there. Since Andre would give her romance novels from the library or something shop, Barbara would give him a CD of his favorite artist as a exchange

Opinions: she respects him for following the rules and at the same time hoping that Andre would not be in trouble again. Although she doesn't have any other opinions of him due to not having enough chatting and interactions, she thinks that he's at least the decent student that she can think of besides others that she knows of

Interactions: she would try to tell Andre to participate in being a student council member several times but later give up because his answers are always no, which she respects him for saying that but she needs more student council members. Andre would talk about his home country to Lynette during lunchtime since she's curious about him

Opinions: he thinks Andre is nice and sweet (that's pretty much it :/). But he does hate him for interrupting him studying, not once but twice and he could not accept Andre's apology for that (if Andre actually apologised to him). When Cecil noticed him for the first time, he thought Andre was a townie due to the way he dressed

Interactions: playing chess with Andre is like playing with a baby to Cecil. Andre loses all the time while Cecil wins like a king every time, well of course since Cecil has played chess since childhood and it's pretty much the only game that he's good at. Him and Andre would talk about poetry including Cecil's favourite poet, Christina Rossetti

Frankie

Opinions: she really likes him platonically and considers Andre as one of her friends. She really doubted at first that he had a soft heart when she noticed him for the first time and after chatting with him for the first time, she's right. However, she's a little disappointed that Andre got into too much trouble but never admitted to him because she doesn't want to hurt his feelings

Overall, Frankie and Andre are friends :3

Interactions: Frankie would let him play her hair if she feels comfortable while reading a novel that she has. She would also help Andre study in the library, tutoring him in a serious but her own way so that he could focus. Frankie would give him some pastries from her mother's bakery if he's hungry or as a way to tell that she's glad that he's her friend

Charlie

Opinions: she thinks Andre is pretty decent and not a douchebag. When he said about her eyes being teal, she almost snorted but she maintained her resting face because she doesn't want to get teased for snorting at his 'joke'. Her first impression of him is that she thought he was like a troublemaker who bullies people, so she tried to stay away from him. But after an incident which led the two of them to bump into each other (actually, Charlie is at fault in this because she was skating with her headphones as usual), she changed her mind about him and now she feels neutral towards him

Overall, they're not friends but they talk

Interactions: if Charlie wasn't listening to her headphones and feels fine (she's moody all the time :/), she would let Andre to count her freckles because it amused her. Andre and Charlie would skate around together with her wearing her headphones to some songs while Andre yapping to her about random stuff, knowing damn well she's NOT listening 😭

Barbara

Opinions: to be really honest, she judged him so much because she thought he was like the rest of the bullies due to his appearance (mainly his clothes) and also some rumors/gossips about him (all of them are LIES 😭😭😭). A week later, she changed her mind slowly about Andre after they were assigned as lab partners in Biology, he was really kind to her and that made Barbara think twice about him. Now, she doesn't judge him and instead she becomes neutral towards him and becomes his friend

Overall, Barbara and Andre are friends but they don't talk much

Interactions: she allows Andre to brush her hair in a situation where it's necessary since it's nice having another person to brush her hair. She would gossip to him about someone (and the source is Christy Martin), whether he believes it or not. They would hang out at the carnival for fun or if they're bored and have nothing to do, playing different games there. Since Andre would give her romance novels from the library or something shop, Barbara would give him a CD of his favorite artist as a exchange

Lynette

Opinions: she respects him for following the rules and at the same time hoping that Andre would not be in trouble again. Although she doesn't have any other opinions of him due to not having enough chatting and interactions, she thinks that he's at least the decent student that she can think of besides others that she knows of

Overall, Lynette respects Andre

Interactions: she would try to tell Andre to participate in being a student council member several times but later give up because his answers are always no, which she respects him for saying that but she needs more student council members. Andre would talk about his home country to Lynette during lunchtime since she's curious about him

Cecil

Opinions: he thinks Andre is nice and sweet (that's pretty much it :/). But he does hate him for interrupting him studying, not once but twice and he could not accept Andre's apology for that (if Andre actually apologised to him). When Cecil noticed him for the first time, he thought Andre was a townie due to the way he dressed

Interactions: playing chess with Andre is like playing with a baby to Cecil. Andre loses all the time while Cecil wins like a king every time, well of course since Cecil has played chess since childhood and it's pretty much the only game that he's good at. Him and Andre would talk about poetry including Cecil's favourite poet, Christina Rossetti
