Describe a time your character was wrong. How did they react to this situation? What ramifications did this situation have on them?

I'm going to answer this with my lovely chaotic neutral blood mage Lucrita because I was just given a gift fic of her for an oc swap~

But- the time that struck Lucrita the most when she found out she was wrong about was when she met Dorian Pavus.

Her assumptions about the Tevinter mage was of those she made on what she's heard about what her home land had become. She assumed he would be this high and mighty mage who wouldn't be open to knew ideas and facts; she was proven wrong. She never told Dorian she was wrong about him because she never let him know her assumptions.

And while I joke about Lucrita purposely going and getting under Dorian's skin, when her parentage and past is brought to light- he's the first one to extend her hand even after all the lives she's taken.

After all the Vints have to stick together.

I have OCs from every where but ill focus on the ones I tend to focus on more.

Valentina Cousland (Dragon Age) - Valentina does think she is a good person, even with mistakes she has made being too quick and harsh with her words. What's important is that she apologizes after she's cooled down and tries to make amends. She's a good person with a lot if faults.

Maellen Amell (Dragon Age) - His answer would be "That depends on what definition if good you use. I am an apostate mage who engaged in a dark ritual wich ended up with an old god baby. Is that a good person? Until that point I followed every rule. So yes I belive I'm a good person."

Violetta Arolio (Elder Scrolls) - She would laugh at the question, because who is a good person really? She works to help others all while at the same time breaking every law in existence to get where she needs to be. So who really is a good person.

Lucrita (Dragon Age) - No. It's simple she knows she isn't a good person; but she also isn't her father. There are worst people the her but anything and everything she does is for selfish reasons. If you say she's a good person she'd smile until you leave then laugh at the notion. A good person doesn't steal life from others to add to hers.

Does your character consider themselves a good person, a bad person, or somewhere inbetween? Why? Is this perception of themselves accurate to reality?

I’ve a ton of OCs tbh, so I’ll stick to a few main ones I use from several different things!

Myrimae (The Elder Scrolls) doesn’t really get “good” or “bad”, it’s all subjective to him! He labels some of his actions as harmful and some as not harmful so as long as he kinda... plays by his own rules and keeps to himself he kinda sticks to that perception of himself. He sees good and bad and mere lables, good for someone might mean the death of a whole village, and bad for someone might mean the salvation of others, you can’t really say what is good for people other than yourself.

Suledin (Dragon Age) typically has a strange view of morality but mostly sees himself as a good person, I mean he’s saving the world right and stopping a corrupt monster with delusions of godhood from killing people! Thats good! It doesn’t matter how immoral his own actions are as long and the world survives. He mostly holds up in the grand scheme of things though there are some who’d argue otherwise.

False (Hollow Knight) probably doesn’t know the meaning of bad and good, probably doesn’t even understand the concept of morality as a whole. They understand suffering and pain and lonliness though, and understand its not a nice feeling, so they try not to make any bug friends feel like that. Personally I think False is a good little void goop baby, even if they wouldn’t understand.

Valentine (original setting) refers to himself as a “Bad Bitch” and he is absolutely correct he is both bad and a bitch. This fucker will step on you to reach the top, doesn’t matter who gets in his way if he wants something he gets it, even if you have to die, so yeah he’s Bad.

Diane is an incredibly talented Holy Priest (sry to disappoint shadow nan) whose main objective is to bolster troops in Darkshore and strut around in a slutmog. If ur into oc x canon, she’s totally dating Commander Belmont.

This is Erick and he’s Diane’s brother. He’s had two kids and basically talks like he chainsmokes. He’s one of the OG Forsaken, acts like an old vet, and he’s totally Not Leading Any Sort of Rebellion. No Ma’am. He’s like 40+ he’s a veteran of the second(?) war too I think. Old man. Angry old man.

The Doogan twins. Darla (left) is a courtesan and her brother Mitchell(right) is a warlock Who May Be Possessed. Darla is a practicioner of the Void and probably has a framed picture of Mother Lucrita on her bedroom wall next to her mirror.
