I feel like creating a list of all the possible 'bad fanon' takes for my OCs if they were canon characters so here we go:

Silvanus

Fandom infantilizes the hell out of her, since shes chronically ill and has a hard time managing her health. And would only be characterized as someone who needs to be coddled by others , having no ability to actually take care of herself.

On the other side of the spectrum; she is incompetent and her inability to properly manage her health is a moral failing that should not be rewarded and other characters should not be required to support her so much

Aster

Stealing the identity of a dead friend and pretending to be them is immoral and everything she does now continues to tarnish the legacy of said friend

Entering romantic and sexual relationships as their stolen identity is a non-consensual act because the deceased person cannot consent to the relationship AND the other person may not be aware of the identity theft when engaging in these relationships with her

Gawain

Coddled by the fandom because of his long tragic backstory and is not held responsible for his heinous crimes.

Interrupting his good deeds & actions going forward as a complete 'redemption arc' but in reality he performs as a noble knight to make himself feel better and soothe this own guilt/mental health.

Becomes defined only by his low empathy and fluctuating sympathy, ignoring his other attributes to push the narrative of him being a simple minded heartless monster

Rook

Selfish for consistently seeking revenge against those who wronged them and not caring if innocent people are hurt in the process

Pushing the narrative that they have absolutely no empathy or sympathy for others but its actually the opposite; the context of their backstory is completely ignored and false assumptions are made

i'm nervous and feel a bit incompetent when talking about Gawain because I am still, really, really new to the lore and story. and don't want to look stupid if i get something wrong or my own ideas are stupid in-universe. so be gentle to me jfdkslfds

25. How do they see themselves 5 years from today?

Gawain absolutely does not think about his own future. He tries not to dwell on his past; he has committed many atrocities and survived multiple calamities so the only thing he can do is move forward. And the only future he seeks is aiding/guiding humanity against the Honkai. So I guess in 5 years time, Gawain would assume he'd be doing the same exactly thing he's doing today.

41. Hobbies?

OH MY GOSH. i haven't thought about his hobbies at all. Gawain is like, two different characters since he has a dramatic shift after Kallen's death 500 years ago. Before Kallen's death: Gawain was a traveling knight/mercenary and the leader of a group that very much had 'Robin Hood' like vibes. So during his time employed by Schicksal he spent most of his time sparring, socializing with/getting to know people in the area and heckling Schicksal priests who took advantage of the common folk. He also probably knows a bit about traditional blacksmithing ngl After Kallen's death: Gawain spends a lot more time alone, more physically and emotionally distant from others despite being an extrovert. He's still got a lot more introspection to do. And probably spends time reading extensively (always a fighter, never an academic) or cooking for others when he feels more socialable

44. Superstitions or views on the occult?

THIS IS SUPER FUNNY CONSIDERING HE'S IN HONKAI. He thinks Schicksal as a religious organization was full of shit, thinking them too incompetent and power hungry to be humanity's defense against the Honkai. But in more modern times he's relieved to see most of the religious aspects of the organization took a back burner after Otto took over.
