5 — which i would make popular if i could.

kinda hard, since i like them all so much, however i think gaudium would be fitting, however ironic that may be, since she's the zelda counterpart of my linksona and i didn't choose him. she's my pride and joy as hee name says aksnsks.

24 — which oc i would like to meet if possible.

the fragmented no doubt. there are many that i gave way more depth, but there's something that just attracts me to them so much, beside the fact that they are so broken and lost, i guess they could use some company.

42 — which of them would be the most interested in Greek gods.

gaudium or the deity, both of them are so full of curiosity to a fault. the deity would be drawn to knowing more about any being, so if they knew there was another deities out there? they would certainly doe of happiness (or disgust). while gaudium has more of an suspicion towards their existence, since the only deity she would possibly know is hylia, apart from the three goddesses.

i used to use some of my oc's in games or stories and well... the angst is natural. a friend of mine gave me an extensive lecture after i broke both of an oc arms during a play just to make things harder for her. it wasn't fun.

the thing that sticks out to me about your portrayals is just how individual all of your muses are. sure, there's a bit of "kira writing style" in all of them, but each of them still have their own introspective quirks. your writing is always a treat and feels very alive.

Theo it means a lot. I know I say that a lot but it does. It means a lot. I have all these crazy OCs on here now and Kiri and Cid and so many others than just the Cloud Boy. I have the whole of Gaudium and The Earl and I just - I write so many characters on here and to say they are all individual mean a lot.

To say that it is alive. That they all have their own quirks.

It means the world because I try. They are all very different people to me and very different voices and I always want that to come across so I'm glad it does. I'm glad you can meet them all as individuals.

Really it means so much to me.

I thought I uploaded some of my other prompts onto here, but I have discovered I've not. Anyway...here's something from one of my prompt entries that I enjoyed in a bittersweet kind of way. Just two of my characters getting to bond a bit more over shared sentiments.

Characters are my OCs Risu Gaudium and Spe Melos -- FFXV Kingsglaive OCs.

“So… come up with anything for your new year’s resolution? What’s your prospective ‘fabula nova’ this year?” came a voice from next to Risu. Looking over at the owner of the voice -- his Unit member, Spe Melos --  while taking a swig of his drink, he gave a slight shrug of his shoulders. He had never really thought about it. “Been a little hard to think about stuff like that when you’re in service to the Crown, not gonna lie. I think if I were still able to do what I wanted… I probably would have said to make more demo reels, or go to more auditions. See if I could land anything,” Risu finally said. Though an amused scoff left his lips, the longing for his pursuit in acting was evident in the rather distant look in his eyes. However, Spe simply nodded in understanding, taking a slow drink of her own glass of champagne. Glancing at her, Risu posited the same question: “what about you?” Spe stayed silent for a time, swirling the contents of her drink and looking down into it. After a long moment of contemplation, she answered with: “like you, it’s been hard to think about. I grew up playing piano and learning how to sing so that maybe I could one day perform on stage… Becoming part of the Kingsglaive really…really threw a wrench into a lot of my aspirations and plans. Though I guess that’s just what we Galahdian kids get growing up behind the safety of the wall, huh?” Another scoff left Risu’s lips as he then shook his head -- more in disbelief for the entirety of the situation that both he and Spe found themselves in. If anything, it was at least fortunate that they could share their grief and frustrations over the same circumstance that brought their families to Insomnia seeking sanctuary for them. “Ridiculous, isn’t it? That our families lost so much in the conflict, came here to keep us safe while risking their lives in the name of the Crown, and that we are made to walk in their footsteps… Sometimes I wonder why I was allowed to even go and take piano lessons, or singing lessons,” Spe spoke, looking up at the fireworks that continued to shower the sky in explosions and color.

“... A real waste of the money they brought in to let us pursue our dreams…” Risu sighed, knowing how much his parents sacrificed so that he could do something he loved. Spe rose her glass to Risu. “To Insomnia crushing our hopes and dreams instead of the industry itself, though, hm?” Spe toasted, hiding a sense of bitterness. Raising his own glass, Risu tilted it toward Spe’s with a clink and a dry laugh; “to Insomnia crushing our hopes and dreams instead of the industry.”

Question for my fellow writers: what's your favorite passage that you've ever written? What sentences/paragraphs of yours do you reread that just fill you with emotion and make you go "fuck yeah, I wrote this"? What hits you different, gets your heart pumping and emotions flowing? I wanna see it!

OC Interview Tag

Tagged by @bookenders​! Got multiple requests for a joint interview between Victory and Enfriator (unsurprisingly), so here are my Bloodlines leads!

[Victory and Enfriator are sitting beside each other on a lounge, Victory’s wings extended freely, relaxed along the back of it. His right arm is draped around Enfriator, who is curled up comfortably at his side, leaning against him as she traces lines on his thigh.] 

1. Are you named after anyone?

V: No-- well, not my first name. Laurus and Seier both belonged to my mother’s family though, but I don’t know anything about them. [He looks at Fri, nudging her slightly, genuinely curious] What about you?

[she shrugs]

E: Enfriator is a warrior’s name. That’s all. 

V: Your parents wanted you to fight?

E: It was wartime. It wasn’t anything unexpected. There have been more Aggravators and Annihilators in Mhorlina than ever these past few years. 

2. When was the last time you cried?

E: Last night when we fucked. 

[Victory gapes at her, eyes wide, amber flushing his face as he stammers]

V: I did not-- Fri--

E: You did. 

V: What about you? You never cry--

E: I do.

V: When? I-- oh

[he realizes, face falling into something somber, and he drapes his right wing over her. She squeezes his hand in her lap, mouth drawn into a thin line.]

3. Do you have/want kids?

[Victory’s eyes bulge again as Fri raises her eyebrows, a thoughtful look on her face.]

V: I mean....I-- I thought about it, when I was younger, but I never thought I would after I learned I was half skin-changer. 

E: I never thought about it honestly. I suppose I never looked that far ahead.

4. Do you use sarcasm a lot?

E: I do not. 

V: Yes, you do. [he’s grinning at her]

E: I don’t use it a lot, really. It’s only because you’ve never said a sarcastic word in your entire life.

V: I’ve never used sarcasm? Ever? In my entire life?

[Enfriator eyes him with reproach]

5. What’s the first thing you notice about people?

V: Their eyes. 

E: Eyes, yeah. 

V: Eyes and how they speak.

E: I suppose I notice posture right away too. You learn a lot just from someone’s body language.

6. What’s your eye color?

E: Black.

V: I love your eyes. 

E: You do?

V: Yes. They’re beautiful. 

E: Yours are beautiful. They look like summer. 

V: They’re just green. [he shrugs as she sighs quietly, propping her head against his shoulder]

7. Scary story or happy ending?

V: Happy ending. I don’t like scary stories. 

E: Same for me. 

V: Really?

E: I don’t like to be scared. 

8. Any special talents? Hobbies?

V: Enfriator can sing. [she sits back from him, aghast.] You do! I hear you when you think I’m not listening.

E: ....

V: I like to sing too, I sing and hum at home, and when we’re outside. 

9. Where were you born?

V: ...both of us were born in the Black Castle. {editor’s note: Mhorlina is the Black Castle of the skin-changers}

E: ...under vastly different circumstances. 

10. Do you have any pets?

{editor’s note: pets are an unknown concept in Helmi af i Verold. The most prominent sentient beings are all either a version of a traditional ‘half-creature’, or, like the skin-changers, have a second-shape which is an animal itself. A pet would be a curiosity in the best train of thought, and barbaric in the worst.} 

11. What sports do you/have you played?

E: I never played sports really. I was always training, or sparring.

V: But sparring is a sport, almost. 

E: Wrestling is, you’re right. What about you? What sort of games do Gelkins play?

V: We have thunderbat. [Enfriator looks intrigued] It’s a ball game. We play it in the air, but the batter and pitcher are on the ground. It’s a little hard to explain-- I wasn’t allowed to play it.

E: It sounds... dangerous. 

V: It is. Aubra used to play it, so I got to watch him at least. He had good aim, but he was never a sore loser, even when he didn’t land a hit.  

12. How tall are you?

E: Very. 

[Victory dips his head a little, left wing twitching.]

V: I’m not, not really. [Enfriator turns to look up at him with her mouth slightly open, dumbfounded.] Not for a Gelkin! I’m on the shorter side. 

E: You’re not a Gelkin though. 

[both of their expressions are incredulous now.]

V: Half a Gelkin. 

E: When we stand up, my head doesn’t even reach his shoulders.

13. Favorite subject in school?

V: Polar and West taught me songs and stories and numbers... I always wanted to learn archery though. I never got to until I was older. I liked learning about plants though. Polar used to take me to the glasshouse and teach me the names of everything, how the flowers grew.

E: Most of my time was spent training. I liked wrestling with Encrato the most. Carly was too slippery for me and Domi was sore and complained when he lost, but I always had a good session with Encrato.

14. Dream Job?

[Victory looks at her, feathers fluttering along her back, and Enfriator tilts her chin up on his shoulder, meeting a green gaze.]

V: ...this is it for me. [he draws his arm closer around her, her fingers tracing light trails over his forearm.] What about you?

[her response is soft, quieter than any before.]

E: I think so too. I just want... this.

5. If you could make only one of your OCs popular/known, who would it be?

HmmMMM I think as of right now, it would be Clara! She’s one of my all-time favorite characters, and I think she has a really good balance of being soft and vulnerable, but also strong, smart and capable.

Clara is one of the first characters I’ve ever been genuinely proud of. She’s abrasive, she’s highly strung, she’s a know-it-all, she’s insufferable, but there’s just something about her that makes her really lovable, and I would die if other people could see that as well.

43. Do you have any certain type when you create your OCs? Do you tend to favour some certain traits or looks? It’s time to confess.

oh boy do i ever

For a really long time, it was charming asshole boys, and flat mary sue-esque girls that were really nice and just wanted everyone to get along. I’m beyond that now, I’ve gotten so much better.

But now... I definitely know that I favor making girls. I really, desperately need to make more guys. My girl characters are all very stubborn with a very strong sense of morals. They all know exactly how far they’ll go for something, and will rarely deviate from that — of course, this differs and some people will go as far as they need to, others won’t. 

They’re also genuinely strong characters, but they have a soft side too that they don’t often show people — they might only show their love interest and very close friends.

I like to refer to my gals and my character type as ‘unlikable girls’ because honestly no one should like them based on how I would list their traits, but I love them (and most importantly, so do my writing partners).

A Party of Glaives

I don't play with Brio all that much, and since I kind of have been thinking about my Kingsglaive characters, I decided, "why not? Why not just spawn in all the ones you know the general appearances of?"

Kind of more or less wanted the feel of someone going around with a camera and just getting candids at a Christmas party.

I don't think I'll try spawning in and placing seventeen characters again, though. |D;
