Chesne and Eudes, I am in need of help. Some crooked-nosed knave in my community is using the drive up book return as a trash can. I need you to track down this fopdoodle and teach him some manners. The librarians will be eternally grateful. We will gladly name the next animal some sot drops in there after you. 😭
Eudes: Think Ret will let us borrow the rings of Hephaestus?
Chesne: I hope so! Then we can have really loud voices and scare the pants of the offender. A few scares and a little threat be enough to resolve the issue. Or!!
Eudes: Or?
Chesne: Ankles are made for hanging.
Eudes: Agreed. Also, we would be honored for an animal to share our name, but I hope people do not often drop them in where books are ment to go.
#scp ask blog#eudes#chesne#scp ocs#digital art#answer#velociladybug#quest bois#mun: that sounds terrible. im sorry to hear someone is doing that.

🍻🍎🍟 for Daisy, Bastien, and Nathalia! ---the-iron-orchid
Thanks for the ask huney!! ❤️ And sorry it took so long to answer it bdmdbdj
🍻: What's your OC's favourite comfort ritual? How do they calm themselves down after a rough day?
For Daisy: Answered here!
For Bastien: Bastien doesn't really have a particular ritual to calm himself down, but if he's feeling low or stressed out, Boof is always there and ready to comfort him as soon as he's back home; the both of them are extra cuddly so they both benefit from it. But some days are harder than others, and when that happens he'll walk to a little clearing in the woods he found when he came back to Vesuvia, where he can shift into his true form, just so he can get the stress and weight of playing human for a while, run around a little, stretch those big leggies of his and relax without constantly spending energy to stay in his human form.
For Nathalia: Since she's the type to handle stressful situations very well, she can wait a long while before needing to chill down to a calmer level. She'll simply chill with a glass of 'wine' and maybe chat with fellow nobles about the latest tea that's shared around. Otherwise she likes to relax on the veranda or take a little walk through the royal gardens. Nat is very far away from her manor here in Vesuvia so she sadly can't tend to her roses, but that's one of her ways to chill when she's home.
🍎: Do they share any features or traits with any family members?
For Daisy: She has a round face and a button nose like her mom, Yelena, but the hair and eyes of her father, Eudes, and shares similar personality traits with him. As far as she knows (and as far as I've planned) she's a single child so she doesn't share any similarities with siblings. And so far, all of her kids she'll later have with my friends' ocs get to have her beautiful golden eyes. 😭
For Bastien: He looks more like his father than his mother on a physical aspect, most notably his color scheme, but he had the same caring and protective traits as his mom did. He doesn't remember his half siblings well, but he knows he was the only survivor of his mum's last clutch and ended up being the ice drake's maximum height record breaker, so can't say if he looked like his siblings or not.
For Nathalia: She's the eldest of three and got most of her father's traits, notably her facial structure and dark hair, but had the softness of her mother in her gaze and her blue eyes (but are no longer because of her vampirism). The three siblings kind of look alike, with dark hair, a pale complexion and blue eyes, but the middle child's eyes were more of a blue-grey compared to Nathalia and the youngest. No one knows how she became this tall because her father was only 5'6 whereas her mother was 6'0, so her growing up to be 6'10 was a surprise to everyone.
🍟: What does your OC admit to be their guilty pleasure? What actually is their guilty pleasure?
For Daisy: She's not the kind to have a 'guilty pleasure' because she's pretty transparent overall and doesn't really hide what makes her happy to others. She's got a sweet tooth, regularly eats sweets, loves indulging in pickled food and buys herself a small loaf of pumpkin bread on a daily basis she takes on her lunch break.
For Bastien: He's got a big secret guilty pleasure he hides from others, not because he's shameful of it, it's because that's not a Human™ thing to do and he doesn't want to weird out people by doing it, so he wouldn't talk about it to people who doesn't know he's a drake. He has a hidden magic-powered freezer in his house he keeps a few chunks of raw tuna, salmon and a few other kinds of marine creatures frozen in it so he can snack on them when he doesn't feel like eating 'human' food.
For Nathalia: Since she's a vampire, the only thing she survives on is blood. Her noble house is well known and very influential, so money isn't an issue for her. She can buy any type of blood she wishes to consume, but her house has a deal with a renowned doctor that performs blood 'tests'. For what you may ask? Nat doesn't really know and she doesn't want to know either; she's already ashamed enough as it is to be a vampire, she doesn't want to feel worse if she were to learn where this blood comes from, which means she wouldn't talk about her guilty pleasure as well. She does have a liking to the blood of people with a sweet tooth, it greatly affects the blood's taste, and alcohol-tinted blood as well for the nights she feels a bit more funky. 🎉🍷

YOU KNOW WHAT
Oh dear, oc art, finally!
This totally describes the dynamic between Rouxie Ann (right) and Eud (left). I don't know what Rouxie has said to Eud to draw that expression out of him, but if I had to guess, she's either telling him how many she has killed with her claws, or breaking him the news as to why he's never going to have biological children. Rouxie is a bit of an ass, she loves to bully Eud, who's quite much like an angel on Earth, but please. before you start hating on Rouxie, keep in mind that their relationship isn't actually toxic; Eud enjoys Rouxies bluntness, for she is just about the only one he knows who will treat him like an adult. Eud's peace loving and pure demeanor is so often mistaken for him being unable to handle the harsh truths of life. Which isn't true. He's not stupid. He might need more time to deal with such topics, but he will handle them.
With this drawing I realised that black and white cats aren't only hard to photograph, they're also hard to light and shade well-rounded while drawing.

In what situation was your character the most afraid they’ve ever been? (@your bravest OC) (hope those are all interesting asks for you c: )
(okay my bravest OC is a tie between Mercy and Violante so I’m going to do a 2 for 1 type of thing for this one)
Mercy: For Mercy, the most afraid she has ever been was when she was in a very delicate situation where she was suffering from a drug addiction and needed funds not only for a fix, but also to keep a roof over her head. This is what led to her accepting the job of stealing Lex Luthor’s briefcase for one of the top mafia bosses in Metropolis. Even though she had successfully gotten past all of Lex’s security procedures and ended up retrieving the case, the man that gave her the job was going to turn on her, take the briefcase and kill her until Lex had shown up to save her life in more ways than one.
Violante: Though Violante had been through a few frightening occurrences throughout her lifetime when she was a mortal, she had always been saved from them by Vlad Tepes. But her most terrifying moment was when she was going through childbirth, she could feel that she was not going to completely survive the birth of she and Eudes’ son. She had been able to deliver him, but she only had a handful of moments with him. Vlad had come into the room for some of her last minutes, but the most terrifying shock came to her when she felt Vlad’s teeth sink into her skin just before she could die and from there on her transformation into a vampire was the most afraid she had ever been.

Okay so while working on the modern short for the Quest Bois I started thinking about the foundation. Eventually they would find out about Chesne and Eudes. Right? They would have too. The summoning "ritual" is super simple and definitely more common as books of "fairy tales" are put into print and circulated around the world. Id think that Chesne and Eudes would start as like local myth whose story moves outwards, kinda like the Rumpelstiltskin story or king Arthur's tales (but not as famous as either of those. Maybe a better example would be snow white and rose red or dapplegrim)
More under cut I ramble.... And spoilers I guess? Ehhhhh
I guess I should write out some clarification and then walk through my thoughts. Putting this out there (with the potential for change) cause it is world building and I want to.
So Chesne and Eudes' method of going from place to place where they are summoned in modern times is a small metal band with runes that each have around one ankle hidden in their boots. All they have to do is ride around a corner and they appear back home, which at this point is Rets cave, which is more of a series of connected cave "rooms" and "halls". Then to go elsewhere they ride through the stable rooms exit and appear where the summoning has happened.
As their story is published more places, they are more likely to get accidental summonings. Also kids talk. Got scared of dark and saved by cool knights? Tell your friends. Then tell your own kids when u get old. So they only grow in serious and accidental summonings.
Someone is bound to notice, from the Foundation I mean. Two dudes riding horses, wearing armor? With repeat appearances in a wide variety of places with many witnesses? Pretty much a red flag.
So the questions are as follows.
1) How long will it take for the Foundation to take note and try to act?
2) Can they capture both at once?
(if one gets away they are going back for the other)
3) Do Chesne and Eudes ever run into the Foundation and find out about them before they are found out?
4) What would be the Foundations first move?
5) Can Eudes and Chesne figure out a way to differentiate summonings from those in real need and and the summonings from the Foundation?
It's a lotta questions that my brain can't act on. This is why I could never write an actual article. Too much ヘ(。□°)ヘ confusion. Mmmm. (Also their just silly little oc children of mine. Not strong enough to fly from the nest. Babies) I am very mmmm.

Quest Bois: 🔥🌲🍀?
Chesne: I really like the smell of fresh bread.
Eudes: I like the smell of rooms that have been empty and undisturbed for a long time.
Chesne: Also! I do consider myself very lucky. I have gotten to spend centuries hanging out with my best friend, fighting alongside him, having his support in the ups and downs, and experiencing some of the wildest adventures with him!
Eudes shoves Chesne as he laughs a little in embarrassment.
Eudes: Chesne! Ahhh! You are far too kind. I guess I have to say I feel pretty lucky too!
