Blorbo Felony Bingo
Thank you @writernopal for tagging me over here!
I'll do mine for my favourite crimelord Erozah because I don't talk about him much and this one is perfect for him. I also did one for the Ranna twins since they share crimes (though Pocha's done a lot more murder lol)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The twins are surprisingly tame, they just spend most of their time blackmailing and killing people lol
I'll tag @squarebracket-trickster @aquadestinyswriting @bardicbeetle and anyone else who wants to do it!
Blank card below the cut :)

13, 35, 40, 47 for whichever OC you like! (though I would love to hear more about Erozah)
Thanks for the ask! I'm always happy to talk about Erozah <3
-
13: What is your OCs earliest memory?
Sadly, his earliest memory is the death of his parents, who were killed trying to protect him and the rest of their family when he was very young.
This formed a lot of who he became - his general hatred of gishars and his desire to protect those who are harmed by them. It's why he's so beloved in Jurin, where they've ALL been screwed over by the gishars.
-
35: How flexible is your OC?
Physically, he's very flexible in the water, not so much out of it.
When it comes to his personal code / rules, he gives no leeway to those who break it.
-
40: What is the craziest thing your OC has done?
If you asked Erozah, he'd say the secret affair he had with a gishar in his late 20s, since he hates them so much lol
If you asked anyone else, they'd say the time he tore the hands off a law enforcement officer and ate them in front of him. This was in a very public place so a lot of people saw and it's still talked about decades later. He hates the Hom Hul, especially if they try and fuck with his people, like this one did.
-
47: Does your OC tolerate violence?
This is the funniest question to get for Erozah XD
He has zero issues using violence, both to get what he wants or to protect those he cares about. He is very strong and his teeth can shatter bones (as they're evolved to crack the shells of bone-thief crabs), so he's not someone you wanna face in a fight.

5 & 10 for the worldbuilding asks? 🌊🧜
Thank you for the asks!!
5. Sanpala: the sea religion
Oh man, I have SO much I can say about this one. I'll keep it to a minimum though!
The followers of Sanpala believe that water is the greatest source of Heiros and abide by the saying "reishi merath siresh". This translates to “all (every) water forgives”.
The motto is part of the reason why so many sailors are attracted to this religion (other than their general love of the sea). Most of them have been cast out by society and it reassures the belief that they belong somewhere – there is something that doesn’t give a damn what they did, unlike the harshness of Heirosa.
It’s possible that they were the ones who actually started this saying, as the original sailors were all criminals. They could have coined the phrase as a way of forgiving themselves (and each other) of their sins.
They don’t have a sacred text, as the religion is primarily passed through word-of-mouth between those at sea. They are less strict about what makes someone a "true" follower - as long as you respect the sea and its inhabitants.
Many believe in the existence of a god named Tura, a giant tentacled being that lives in the deepest parts of the sea. Some even claim to have seen him, though without proof these stories are brushed off as just that - stories.
Unlike those that follow Heirosa, all Sanpavir are buried at sea and believe that they will be reincarnated as a part of it. Whether that be as part of the sea itself or as a sea creature, or even a plant.

10. Liheros (Sonharian mermaids)
I've talked a little about the here but here's some more stuff!
Liheros are arguably the most dangerous beings in Sonhara, if you get on their bad side. But if you are in favour with one of them, you have a very powerful ally.
They have a historical feud with the gishars, dating back centuries, though they generally refuse to talk about it and will get very angry if you bring it up unprompted.
Whilst gishars rule the lands, you could say that the liheros rule the sea. They don't usually have leaders, with the exception of those that live in and around Jurin, which is ruled by Erozah Malior (from the 1980s onwards).
Even the humans of Jurin would rather turn against the gishars than turn against Erozah, as he has done far more for their town than anyone else. If you manage to piss off Erozah, it's in your best interest to never step foot in Jurin again, or he might eat you. Literally.
The Jurinian liheros have a bit of a reputation for scamming people (though that's just what all Jurin locals do), which they've fully leaned into by offering "scam insurance" to newcomers. You pay them a fee up front and they'll spread the word to other Jurinians so you "don't get scammed". It's surprising how many people actually buy into this lol

🌹🎈🍒🚨 for whoever you feel like!
Thank you! I'll answer most of these for Lavis and Einjal, trying to keep my focus on them as much as possible lol
Tumblr media
🌹 (rose) - What does your oc find attractive in other people? Are these traits found in their friends and/or romantic partners? Are they found in themselves?
Einjal likes those who have something interesting about them. Anything that's a little bit different. He spent his entire childhood being surrounded by people who were all the same, so he loves those that stand out. He is like this himself, which is probably why he likes it in others so much - he just wants to connect with someone.
As much as he would hate to admit it, Lavis definitely likes the rebels - it was what attracted him to Einjal. It's also why he gets on well with Raja, as she's also rather rebellious, especially when it comes to fashion. He wishes he could be more like them, always yearning to be a little less perfect just to ease the pressure a bit.
-
🎈 (balloon) - What does your character do at parties? Are they a wallflower or a party animal? Do they go with friends or alone?
Einjal is very much a party animal, willing to take part in anything that's happening if it means he'll have fun.
Lavis is the opposite and would rather observe the actions of everyone else instead. He hates any attention being on him so he's much happier on the sidelines.
-
🍒 (cherries) - Does your character have a best friend? How long have they known each other? What do they like most about each other? How did they meet?
Lavis's best friend is Raja, his wife. They met in Vorsini in 1919 when they were both on their Pavasun, but they didn't interact again until a few years later when they got married. They like that they can be themselves around each other, they have no secrets and they are the first person they each turn to when they need moral support.
Einjal's best friend is Kantera, his Nivada. They've known each other since Einjal was 14 and she was 20, when she'd just started working as one of the guards at his palace. They properly met when she helped him sneak back through a window after he'd gone out after curfew. After that, the two of them would go off and have adventures together. They have a sibling-like relationship and love to annoy each other.
-
🚨 (siren) - What’s your character’s relationship with the law? Have they ever been arrested? What for? What are their opinions on law enforcement?
Though many of the gishars break the law, most of them get away with it. They feel as though they're above it, but they'll enact their own punishments on each other instead.
I'll answer this one for Erozah instead, because it allows me to list all the things he's been arrested for lol:
-
ones that were replicated back onto him:
spitting in an officer's face x 2
breaking an officer's nose
ones where he was fined / received community service:
inciting a riot x 8
robbery x 17
vandalism
arson (accidentally!)
ones where nothing came of it:
aforementioned eating of hands
suspected fraud x 4
suspected murder x 3
obstruction of justice
smuggling x 2

This is for the 'oc asks: not-so-nice edition' and for any OC you choose.
fear: What is your OC's greatest fear? What do they do when confronted with it? Are they open with their fear, or do they hide it away?
midnight: What keeps your OC up at night? Do they have nightmares? Fears? Anxieties? What do they do in the small hours of the morning when they should be sleeping?
Thank you for the ask! I'll answer these for Erozah <3
-
Fear
His greatest fear is anyone finding out that Ladro is his child. There are too many people that would love the chance to get revenge on him, and he doesn't want them to use Ladro to hurt him.
Luckily, nobody would ever think that the two are related as Erozah is a lihero and people assume that Ladro is a safoh.
If anyone ever were to find out, it's likely that Erozah would consider killing them to keep his secret safe.
-
Midnight
Erozah has a lot of nightmares, usually about the things that happened when he was a child.
It doesn't help that he has a lot of stress in his life. It's a great deal of work to keep an entire town running, especially one as chaotic as Jurin. He's constantly anxious about the Hom Hul causing problems and the economic issues that Jurin is facing.
A lot of his more unsavoury business is taken care of at night, so he doesn't sleep much.

OC Poll Tag
Rules: make a poll for your ocs to see who ends up being the favorite
Thank you @noblebs for tagging me over here!
I'm gonna narrow it down to a few - these are all the ones suffering from extreme heiros corruption, and have a high chance of becoming one of the Mahei.
POCHA - (any): snake-like hermit with the ability to see into the past. adventurous and nature-loving with terrible social skills.
VEILA (she/they) - frog-like hermit with the ability to see into the future. careful planner and has excellent patience, can wait decades for her plans to follow through.
EROZAH (depends) - mermaid kingpin of Jurin's criminal network. very loyal to those who earn it.
LADRO (he/they) - eccentric ship captain who is physically starting to rot. fun and loving - just wants to live their life with as much joy as possible.
EINJAL (he/him) - the "rotting king". child of the sea, with the ability to transform into a huge octopus hybrid.

I'll tag @writernopal @squarebracket-trickster and anyone else who wants to do it!

@noblebs Pocha does deserve the world <3 especially after the extra dose of tragic backstory i've recently added to him lol
Erozah is a major character from the 2nd book onwards. He's the leader of the illegal underground network that rules the port city Jurin.
He's a lihero (a merman) so he's a carnivorous sea predator, who is rumored to have a particular taste for humans that piss him off. He's very manipulative, both with his charisma and his siren calls, and has zero hesitation about breaking the laws.
You might think he was an asshole based off this, but he's extremely devoted to the locals of Jurin and the whole system was designed to sustain them after they were let down by the Solarks.
I started jokingly shipping him with Pocha mainly because Erozah is fish-like and Pocha is obsessed with fish lol
Them having history together in canon actually fixed a major plot hole that I'd been struggling with. It did mean that 4 other characters got wiped out of existence though, but it was a sacrifice I was willing to make lol
the danger of crack shipping your own OCs is that you may just end up shifting your entire world's history to justify it in canon...
in unrelated news, Pocha and Erozah are a thing
