Made a few dumb memes.
Here are the warm regards from the IoM.
(Also, how come Kreul is the only one who doesn't have facial scars? Wear your helmets, ladies.)

I stared at Heinrix's portrait on the train to Jagdaqi and had a brain fart.
Heinrix: Watch out!
Dandera: Wait. No. Don't bury my face in your pecs again. I can't breathe-

I had this idea the other day. A combat scene, in which Dandera uses a gun but she is covering melee range with shot shells, while Heinrix uses sword and staff but covering long range with biomancy.

The Drukhari abducted them to Commorragh, subjected them to torment, and stripped them of armaments.
Yet, amidst the shadows of the Dark City, they still have each other and this one dance. It is their first, and perhaps also their last.

...I guess.
Just because I am terrible at writing smush, doesn't mean it'll stop me from trying.
The hapless officer probably sensed something was off on the other side of the door, but he'd assumed Heinrix was doing something horrible, like interrogating heretics.
Just as the world around them began to blur into nothing but each other, faint footsteps appeared from the other end of the hallway. Alerted but unwilling to part, they barely managed to shut the door before the footsteps got too close. Shutting the door was as much distraction as they allow themselves before Heinrix pressed Dandera against its cool metal surface with renewed fervor, his body aching to continue where they had left off. But the footsteps stopped right outside. "Master Interrogator," the deck officer called from just outside the door. Heinrix closed his eyes, cursing silently. The interruption was like a bucket of cold water—until Dandera trailed her hand down his back, and his focus shattered. "We are searching for the Lord Captain," the officer continued, oblivious. "She passed this way but didn’t reach the bridge. Have you seen her?" Before he could form a response, the Lord Captain arched her body just enough to pull him deeper into her. His breath hitched, breaking the first syllable of his reply. The officer hesitated outside, and she moved again, murmuring "don't stop" with trembled voice from beneath him. The door creaked under their combined weight, and he gritted his teeth, his voice taut with strain. “No.” he ground out finally, fingers gripping her waist as he followed her silent command. “Would you… kindly assist in searching for her, Master Interrogator?” the officer ventured cautiously. “The Seneschal is concerned for Her Ladyship’s safety.” "I..." Heinrix’s breath hitched again as Dandera tightened around him, her movements growing in potency. She whispered his name, her voice fragmented and yearning, like fuel to the fire consuming him. The heat of her, the sound of her—everything conspired against him, stripping away the last remnants of restraint. "Not... now..." He gasped, each word a struggle as pleasure surged through him, and his body betrayed him by responding with increasing pace and intensity, until he finally cracked under the sensation. "I... damn it, I am busy!" A stunned silence followed. Then: “Yes, sir! Of course, Master Interrogator! My apologies for interrupting your work, sir! I’ll… leave you to your duty!” The officer’s departure was almost drowned out by Dandera’s rasping breaths, her chest heaving against his as she trembled in his arms. Her lips brushed against his ear, her voice a mix of exhaustion and mischief. “What were you busy with again, Master Interrogator?” She didn’t wait for an answer before pulling Heinrix back to her, stifling him with another kiss.

When they finally meet in the last chapter, the glorious version of Dandera is going to roast the main narrative Dandera and Heinrix so hard.
I can almost feel Heinrix's soul slowly leaving his body with each jab.
"Him? Really? Sweet Emperor's mercy, what happened to us?” The flippant Rogue Trader gives an exaggerated lament, clearly a different person despite her facial features being identical to Dandera. "Did we lose a bet? Did everyone else die during the last warp manifestation? I am begging you to tell me this is a temporary fling.” "No, it's..." Dandera frowns, "...it's not." "Tsk tsk, you sound a little uncertain, my dear. But, understandable." The doppelgänger smirks, tossing Heinrix a criticized glance. "I mean, this is...unflattering, to put it mildly. Does he even smile? Or is it against the Inquisition's code of conduct? " "You're insufferable," Dandera groans. "Leave him alone." "And you are being overly dramatic! Just tie him up and have fun with it—you don't need his heart for that, darling. Honestly, you are working harder at this relationship than I do at negotiating with the Cardinals after I set half of a shrine world on fire." She blinks, "...accidentally, of course." Dandera exhales. "I am not interested in hearing your transgressions." "No way. You'd rather hear him brooding instead? Seriously, he probably thinks it's foreplay. Does he also lecture you in between the thrusts, reciting the Emperor's Creed? 'In His Name,' indeed.” Heinrix, who has been pending up since the conversation started, finally cuts in with a menace look. "I am right here.” "I know. And that's the problem, isn't it, Interrogator? For the throne's sake, don't look so intense. Do you get off on being called 'Interrogator', or is it just an unfortunate side effect of all the bootlicking you do for the Inquisition?” Heinrix pauses before retorting, then looks at Dandera with a completely serious expression. “...Do I?” "You're asking her? Oh, van Calox, if you don't know the answer to that question by now, I cannot bear to imagine how awkward you two must have been. Do him a favor, honey, check him next time you call him that.”

Heinrix is enveloped in anxiety. Typically, Dandera's approach is solely to deliberate the upcoming operation or to resolve issues stemming from their occupational obligations. However, for reasons unbeknownst to him, her expression at this moment carries no trace of professional discourse.

Dandera, on her way to crack some Lord Inquisitor skull.
After all, the Expanse has no capacity to accommodate two sovereigns.

As an aristocrat previously dedicated primarily to commerce and diplomacy, Dandera devoted considerable time to preparations before she first took the helm in a space combat engagement.
"Abelard, inform the bridge: the Lord Captain is assuming command."
