A piece for @wondrous-art / IbbyWondrous on Art Fight of their character Corona! :D I don't typically upload my Art Fight submissions elsewhere because it would be a lot of work to do so with how many I try to make every year, but I really like how this one came out so I felt like posting it here too :'D

I got some really good background practice with this, I felt that I actually harmonized the colours well this time! And Corona is adorable, I love her design <3

NEW BOXER ALERT: Carp Corona

Don't have a boxing name for him yet but meet Tony Gallo, not his real name. Was Well known in a ||secret crime ring||, but had to step away due to complications with some mates. He went undercover under a new alias and turned to become a part of a different ring, the boxing ring! He took on a very flashy and over the top personality and though it was a bit drolling, Tony eventually began to like the new persona he created for himself and became quite invested in the role, even taking the time to learn about the creature of whom inspired the role he took on, the parrotfish!

Outside of the ring, Tony has become a heavily watered down version of himself. He's still quite a sleaze, but around the right people he has become quite fun and friendly. He now spends his time doing dives just to look at all the beautiful fish in the water and has a genuine childlike fascination with them, hell he even snagged a few for his aquarium, although Mac had informed him that's kinda illegal. OFC he has quite the colorful wardrobe now, but every now and again after the match you'll catch him in his very dark muggy attire

Oh snap, I didn't realize you were asking for Kirby OCs to draw. Well in that case, I may as well toss my lad Corona your way, I don't do much with them thanks to Too Many Brainrots DiseaseTM but I always loved their design. Understandable if their wings are too much to bother with though lol

Lazy and temporary until I make the official one, but I needed a Height ref and since I've drawn most of my guys upright it worked. Isn't fully correct but close enough to what it is. Umbra and Artemis are the Same height, as are Aura and Twi (rays not counted). I don't have an upright pose of Eclipse, but they are the same as Artemis and umbra at 7'1".

You (Scrappy) are the same height as Helio as well, 5'9".

Happy Valentine's Day! I went with a redraw from 2011ish of Jesse and Maddie since I haven't really touched on their relationship much with the revamp yet! These two have a love-hate relationship due to trying to vie for leadership of the Junior Members on the hero team they're on, and Maddie seeing Jesse as a hothead, and Jesse seeing Maddie as an insufferable know-it-all. They eventually get over their prejudices, though they still call each other out on their flack when they're dating ;]

Corona having a sun-based religion is so real. Do you think they worship the moon too or see it as evil in some way? I kind of headcanon that kingdoms closer to Corona hear the story of the Sundrop while kingdoms closer to the Dark Kingdom hear the story of the moonstone, which is why Rapunzel an co. didn't know that the moonstone even existed until Edmund told them?

I don't think Corona worships the moon, nor do I think they think it's evil. It exists as its own deity (the Sun's brother), but not worthy of their attention.

I did a whole RP once (long before the series) based on the premise that the Moon god was jealous of his sister and so decided to select someone to be his avatar. He chose Eugene (or, rather, Flynn). But since Eugene wasn't chosen at birth the way Rapunzel was, having the Moon choose him completely changed his personality, but only by night.

Here! Have the prologue! (Note: I wrote this twelve years ago.)

The magical history of Corona all started with the Sun. From the Sun, a golden drop fell, and from that drop, a magical flower grew, and around that flower, a religion was formed. Shamans and priestesses raised awareness of the Sun Lily, and of the Sun herself. And the people didn’t realize it, but the shamans and priestesses did not imagine the songs and stories they passed on to the people. They were actually told them by the Sun in vision and dream. For she had deliberately let that golden drop of sunlight fall and had nurtured the magic flower that had grown from it until people had found it. That flower was meant for great things. The Sun had a brother, the Moon. He was hardly looked at by the people of Corona, and gave them only reflected light, reflected from the shining face of his sister. In the old days, the people hid from the Moon, and spoke tales of the evils he committed. Now these! These were stories, made up by the people, and were given to them by no one but themselves. Because of this, when the stories reached the ears of the Moon, he grew angry and jealous. He tried to reason with his sister, and she was willing to set the record straight, but the people’s ways had been set, and while they could grow to accept the Moon and not fear him, they never did love him the way they loved the Sun. Many centuries passed, and one day, the Sun’s gift was finally put into motion. Her sacred Lily was plucked and prepared into a broth, which was fed to a queen, who gave birth to a beautiful little girl who now bore the mark of the Sun herself – golden hair and the power to grant life. It was now that the Moon remembered his old jealousies, now that the Sun’s chosen was revealed at last. Even after her power had been taken from her, she had been able to grant life, and was revered as the Sun’s daughter. And so, the Moon began to devise a plan. He bide his time and plotted and thought. And chose.

Presenting: Aridene Corona Australis, Australian Swan

Though, she'd prefer if you just call her Dene. Tried to go for a sort of casual-lish ballarina look.

Thought I should finally make an oc for this animal world thingy the moots have been doing. Dene here is a black swan, specifically Cygnus atratus, which are mainly found in Australia (It's where you would find one chronic oc rambler Lazuli as well.)

Dene's a shy, quiet sort. Quite the daydreamer. Very into dancing when nobody is looking, Astronomy and fairy tales.

I got her name from combining two names used for the brightest star in the constellation Cygnus (the Swan): Deneb and Arided

Her middle and last name come from the name of the constellation for the Southern Crown: Corona Australis.

...look I like star names and I wanted to give her a long fancy name to go with the elegant swan theme.

Anyways, I tried messing around with the drawing in paint sai a bit, but I'm not sure if it's worse or better than the initial sketch ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
