OCs DESERVE BETTER -> Casmir Zeklos (Vampire Academy)

“You would be surprised what people often hide, Hathaway. Ask anyone and I’m simply the slightly more tolerable Zeklos. Ask Daniels or Kaminski and they’ll tell you something different.”

One of the many Zeklos, Casmir at first impression is what everyone would expect of a Moroi from one of the larger royal families: arrogant, charismatic, flirty, overall asshole. Which is why many Moroi and dhampirs are so surprised he gets along quite well with Irina Daniels, a known detester of all things Royal, and generally treats dhampir’s better than most other Moroi do. Less like canon fodder and broodmares and more like non-Royal Moroi. When the Court begins to tighten restrictions on dhampirs - lowering the age and increasing live-fire scenarios - Casmir surprises just about everyone by teaming up with Irina and Lissa Dragomir to bring about change.

Cousin to Lissa Dragomir and royal on her mothers side. Losing her parents in a Strigoi attack, she was raised alongside Lissa and as a result, Rose. Seeing how her fellow Moroi treat dhampir's, Irina has a relative distaste for most things Royal and fiercely champions for the dhampirs and non-Royal Moroi.

One of the many Zeklos, Casmir appears to most people as a typical Royal - arrogant, lazy, and a superiority complex a mile wide. Mostly, that is a front he puts forward, knowing it's what's expected of him. In reality, he has a close bond with his future guardian Aleksander, and uses his connections to help Irina behind the scenes while maintaining his public persona.

Aleksander wasn't expecting to get close to any Moroi, knowing his entire purpose was to protect them, not befriend them. He initially has regrets being assigned to one of the many Zeklos, only to slowly learn Casmir isn't like the rest of his family. He definitely wasn't expecting to have any contact with Irina, a well-known defender of dhampirs.
