jenna doesn't really care about soup, but she likes ramen and creamy chicken soup specifically! despised lloyd's tomato and chicken soup for a good while and thought all tomato and chicken soup tasted like his until she tried literally anyone else's recipe again 😭 she still doesn't love it that much tho

ethan, having never had tried any other soup before sora and arin came along, likes simple tomato and chicken soup because that's what lloyd would make for them (in contrast to jenna he actually liked it lmao, baby boy has never tried any cooking other than lloyd's cooking), but once he tried more he grew REALLY fond of creamy chicken and mushroom soup (specifically likes the mushrooms, he is obsessed with them)

hoor likes lebanese lentil soup! her mother would make it for her all the time before she moved out, and since her ass does NOT know how to cook she goes to any of the arab restuarants on her street, unless she wants her mother's recipe specifically

bahr is a simple man, if it's good it's good, but he leans more to just tomato soup bc for one it's easy to make and doesn't have much stuff in it

How do you pronounce Hoor and Bahr?

it's kinda hard to explain (especially bahr), but let me try: the 'oo' in hoor is pretty much pronounced like the 'oo' in food, so you're basically pronouncing 'food', except you (obv) replace it with an h at the start and an r at the end. so it's simply pronounced as 'hur'

for bahr, it's like pronouncing 'bar', but with an h in the middle, it's basically "bah-r", the r being like the r in 'learn'

you can also throw in حور (hoor), and بحر (bahr) in google translate or wtv to listen to their pronounciation, except in google translate (and probably even wtv thing you use for this), hoor will be pronounced with a tanween at the end so just ignore that (it would be pronounced as 'hurun', ignore the 'un', that's the tanween)

What is their favourite season?

hoor REALLY REALLY likes winter, mainly because she loves the outfits she wears during it bc she's like the biggest fashion fan, but other than that she loves when it snows and loves to snuggle in blankets with hot coco in her hands lol

bahr doesn't really have a favourite, but spring is pretty high on his list, because it reminds him alot of his grandmother and how he'd go visit her alot during springtime before he had moved, and also because he loves flowers but never tells anyone abt that (was gonna explode from happiness when hoor got him flowers as a bday gift once)

jenna also loves winter, because she loves wearing obnoxiously large sized hoodies and is stubborn enough to even wear a few when it's literally the midst of summer, she is also touch starved so she gets all the chances to cuddle with someone during winter especially

ethan shows alot of interest in autumn! he loves the leaves and loves seeing them fall, he is also obsessed with jumping on them (and hearing the cracks, it's satisfying to him for some reason), he also gets to help lloyd with sweeping them and he loves to help (it became his favourite chore when he got older, he'd rather do it than do dishes)

What is their favourite thing to snack on?

hoor loves to snack on kunafah! especially kunafah nabulsi, she never gets enough of it and could eat like 4 plates of that thing somehow (kunafah nabulsi is pretty heavy, I get tired after eating like 5 slices 😭), if she wasn't able to choose kunfah as a snack however, it would just simply be chocolates

bahr is simple with his snacks, and unlike hoor he doesn't like kunafah (he thinks it's too sugary), he just simply snacks on some chips or cookies, but his go-to is butter cookies when he's specific (he used to eat ALOT of it when he was younger)

jenna's just chips, she doesn't really care abt snacks, whatever's in the cupboard she eats it. but she does prefer cheese and bbq chips more than anything else

ethan is INLOVE with muffins, like actually obsessed with them, lloyd always has to make sure there are enough muffins for ethan alone because he snacks on them at every chance he gets

jenna's favourite animal is a cat! she LOVES cats, she even has her own cat phonecase and painted some of them on her bedroom wall, she also is fond of dragons having been around some

ethan loves cheetahs like, SO much. he loves all animals, but cheetahs are his 100% fav! he has his own little cheetah toys and loves to watch and read about them

hoor doesn't have a favourite, she loves them all DGDHFHSJS (excepts insects, tho I think she'd be the type to love polar bears)

bahr doesn't tell anyone this but he's obsessed with pandas, he's basically like that one 'I hate anime' meme with pandas whenever anyone asks him abt his fav animal 😭 (that anyone is mainly hoor)

before the merge, jenna went to first grade at 5 years old and finished the year! she was about to go to second grade after turning 6, but the merge happened. (in my hc, there's a two year timeskip between crystallized and the merge) lloyd did try to study basic things with her over the years, though, and would give her some old books of his she could read

ethan never went to school being only 1 when the merge happened. lloyd was the one that taught him basic math, words and spelling and etc etc

hoor didn't go to primary school and was instead homeschooled, she went to middle school at 12 but it wasn't a very good time since that was when her father died and bahr had left a while before, she had failed alot of her classes and almost barely graduated. she managed to make it through highschool tho and got into mass communication, and has a bachelor in journalism

bahr didn't go to primary either, but he went to middle school he failed a year because of Problems TM, and when he graduated from highschool he had dropped out

Y’all know what time it is (ninjago oc question time) what is their education like?

Toni graduated high school, but just barely. She was failing badly bc she spent a lot of time skipping class.

Charlie did not go to high school at all, nobody knew she was even alive at that point.

Kit has a bachelors in biology.

jenna is 11, and ethan is 6!

hoor and bahr...I honestly don't know, but they're probably somewhere around the ninja's ages (who are in their early-mid thirties) bc I see them both just a little younger than cole, not quite set on their ages yet

Just for the hell of it, and the horror of only doing one question early early this morning, Ninjago oc havers, how old are they in DR S1? If they never had a specific age to begin with, gimme a range.

jenna and ethan are underage so they obviously can't and don't know how to, but both will know how to in the future ofc

hoor doesn't own a car, and only knows basic fundamentals of driving but doesn't really wanna learn more, everything she needs is close to her anyway and if someplace is pretty far, like her studio for example (she's a journalist), she simply just takes buses or trains

bahr does have a car and knows how to drive, but didn't bother to even do so that much until he reunited with hoor again, they'd go out on alot of hangouts once they managed to get along again

Toni can drive, but doesn’t on account if not owning a car (car insurance in Ninjago City has to be CRAZYYYYYY) and it’s easier to stop and interview ppl if he’s on a bike or on foot.

Charlie never properly learned how to drive (didn’t go to high school bc she was legally regarded as dead by that point) but does know how to and does do so.

Kit can’t drive bc they grew up in a society where it. Wasn’t needed.
