Hallalin often collects flowers that he puts on The Iron Bull’s horns every time they’re relaxing in camp. Saying that “It makes you pretty and more handsome than you already are, Ma’Vhenan.”, Bull can never stop the light flush in his face from Hallalin’s cuteness.

Thelvin, whenever he’s in the camp, he’ll hang out in the trees. Often he’ll talk to the birds, as if he knows what they’re saying and they can understand him. Dorian tried to join him in the tree once, he almost fell off the tree, but luckily for him, Thelvin caught him with his quick reflexes. 

Adahlen adopts a stray Mabari dog before the Exalted Council, much to Josephine’s dismay, claiming that it was going to be their guard dog. Josephine, being weak for Adahlen’s sweet and pursuasive kisses, gave in. 

Balder turns into a god parent to his friend’s (Thelvin, Hallalin, Halla’len and Adahlen) children. The kids call him “Uncle Bal” and “Uncle BalBal”. Balder really enjoys the love he gets from the kids and the excitement they have every time he visits them.

Adahlen Lavellan 

Who named them/Significance of their name: I’m not very good with names so I just find elven words that sound really nice ajdkladf  His name means wood/forest and he was named by his dad!

Home they grew up in: Grew up in clan Lavellan, of course. 

Relationship with parents: He unfortunately has no real memories of his dad, since his dad died when he was young (about 4 years old). :( He’s very close to his mother though, who has all the patience in the world, thankfully lmfao. About 4 years after his dad died his mom started seeing someone so he was more or less raised by his mom and his mom’s girlfriend :^) Who he’s also very close to! His mom’s gf is really outgoing and energetic and when Adahlen and his siblings were small they’d all run around and play together ;; HE LOVES HIS MOMS AND WOULD DO ANYTHING FOR THEM 

Three words to describe them as a child: rambunctious, mischievous, outgoing

Childhood friend(s): Honestly his closest friends were just his siblings lol. He’s got a sister who is two years younger than him, and a brother who is three years younger. His sister is a little on the shy side but a very curious girl who always wants to learn more about everything, and his younger brother is a lil grumpy. Adahlen was (and still is tbh) very protective of the two of them. Aside from his siblings though he always got along well with the other kids in the clan, but he wasn’t the type to really be particularly close to other people. Like he’d run around and play with them but didn’t think much about anyone else later lmfao. EXCEPT my friend’s character Ashala who he was def friends with growing up!!!

Favourite toy: He wasn’t much for toys tbh. He was the kind of kid who would just wander around in the woods and use his imagination. That was when he had the most fun!

Childhood trauma?: uhh when he was a little bit older (about 12) he went out to practice hunting. By then he was actually already pretty good with a bow though? Anyway there was an incident with some wolves, and he ended up tripping down a ravine and breaking his bow. He hid out in a really tiny cave until the wolves lost interest. He’s got a scar over his eye still from it (its faded so you can’t really see it in the pic above but trust me :y). He just waited it out before he went back home but it kind of gave him a long-lasting issue with small spaces.

Hobbies?: He enjoyed archery as a hobby since pretty much the moment he was old enough to pick up a bow. Other than that he liked making maps and making fake treasure hunts to go on with the other kids. He wouldn’t hide anything to find or even make proper maps he’d just draw them on the spot and then follow them lmao.

Childhood fear(s)?: He had an issue with wolves for awhile but outgrew it, but he’s claustrophobic too, and that’s stuck with him even now that he’s an adult.

Quirk(s)?: Was the kind of kid who would get so wrapped up in something he’d forget to tell literally anybody what he was up to. So he’d wander away from the clan pretty frequently and make his moms worry until he finally wandered back lmao.

How do ur DA OCs talk??

i know that hawke and inquisitor have voice actors and you can kind of pick a vibe of the wardens voice with their fighting lines and stuff.

But besides the way that their voice actually sounds, how do you guys headcanon your DA ocs talk? Like quickly? quietly? do they barely talk? are they mute? are they loud all the time without meaning to be ? I WANNA KNOW !!!

here are some of mine!!

Aila Amell talks in smoothly in succinct sentences most of the time, usually monotone or matter of fact. Otherwise she sounds very sarcastic!

My girl Erynne Hawke is LOUD! her voice often cracks or becomes rough. She talks in runon sentences and always has a teasing tone.

Lastly Adahlen Lavellan, she speaks very dreamily in sentences that sometimes trail off. She almost always speaks softly and awkwardly proper as she overthinks how she sounds to others especially when she first becomes the herald/ inquisitor.
