If there was an heir that was closer to the claim on Runstone than him, it would change pretty much his entire personality. He was 5ish when Rhea died, so he would be younger brother aged to Rilian, me thinks~

The Gates of the Moon is used as a winter time keep during the winter times, and I imagined Lady Cissy being the wife of "The High Stewart of The Vale", or close to that position, SO Cissy has a noble enough position, so I don't think she would ever be interested in full-on usurp Rilian's claim 🤔 BUT I do think she would push them to marry if they were friends LOL

AND with Pyter (or Petyr I'm dyslexic and hate that y so much) not having any real responsibilities set upon him, I think he would make a perfect side-kick for Rilian~ Def still wants to speak revenge against the Targaryens for killing his distant aunt.

Going undercover as low-born shenanigans, or trying to seduce one of the ladies, anything! He's up for it! He was built on side-kick energy! It's only when he is given Main Character™ status that he lashes out and wants to do murder only and no other responsibilities

Welcome to the world, forbidden 4th Roycegaryen sibling I sometimes joke about in unhinged AUs! Honestly so much would change for Rillian's story by having these 3 as their siblings & who's to say if that's good or bad. At the very least, they are protected 😌. Also, Lady Rhea really said "I cannot have a straight child, but I can make them on the same sexuality spectrum twice. And I can make the 2 youngest ones look like me." Iconic of Mother™ .

Also, I'm gonna be so real, I'm not 100% sure where they fall in the sibling birth order, so I'm gonna do my best while also maybe being a little general.

Ella, congrats on having the sister (more or less sister, anyway) that you always dreamed of. They aren't named "Rhaena" after blorbo from your family history, but they're cool! Those 2 are definitely out in the training yard doing archery & sword fighting, & it's honestly really silly & sweet & wholesome & Rillian will get their own personal OC for Ella's Age Of Heroes Self-Insert Fanfic. Also, Ella will tell the kitchen staff if Rillian asked for no pickles. And every single gremlin mode crime they want to do will not only be encouraged, but joined in on.

Yorick, the guy who gives Rillian the freedom to not have to be Lady of Runestone at, like, 14/15 or having to get immediately married 🩷. There's obviously the issue of "he grew up in King’s Landing & then went off to war & wasn't back permanently till he was nearly 18," but honestly I don't think that would hinder a whole lot. For how reserved he is, Yorick does love his family & would make sure he bonds with Rillian in whatever capacity they need. He's fiercely loyal & protective & maybe a little unwell about it, but you don't escape your dad being Daemon Targaryen unscathed (everyone just he glad he picked up one of the 4 redeeming qualities). They would also side-eye & judge people & be cunty together & that's peak Rycegaryen Sibling bonding imo.

Aemon & Rillian would be a really interesting dynamic, I think. They're both carrying around a lot of the same trauma & baggage & Little Haterisms. They're both more quiet types & prefer being alone. They are coexisting silently in the same room & that's hanging out for them. I'm not sure what would happen with Rillian when Aemon is sent to foster with the Manderlys, which I think is in large part due to my not being sure where we're falling un the sibling order, but y'know what, let's jut say they go to be Jeyne's cup-bearer like in their canon. Gotta keep something since for the most part they've got a trio of very tall people surrounding them & protecting them from both harm & their dad!

When Aemon gets back to Runestone, I think that they'd be able to pick up pretty easily from where they left off. Rillian's extra-large goth brother ready to obliterate someone for them if they ask, & Aemon's much smaller sibling ready to show him a cool animal they saw that morning. It'd be very similar to the "we are avoiding getting overwhelmed by people & we are quietly showing each other our hobby" relationship that he has with Helaena I think.

Also, congratulations Rillian Royce for having your pick of dragons to get brought for a ride on. New animal to pet achieved!

Every time someone revealed a secret admirer to Rilian, it was a horror. Friends who she thought were merely friends wanted her to warm their beds. Men who courted her were only ever courting her Valyrian blood. She made forwardness and honesty her banner and still the snakes took it as a chance to use her in their agendas.

Gawen was a bit devastating. She wasn’t close to him but he shared the same affection for animals as she did. She would see it every time they both came by the kennels. Their short conversations weren’t unpleasant, nor romantic. It was nice, a rare indulgence in the Red Keep.

“Does he like me or does he like my shared blood with the Rogue Prince?” Rilian said her father’s title with bitter mockery.

I didn't write anything at all last week due to lack of inspiration, Lannister brainrot is killing me. Hopefully I'll get more work done on my three days off. This is an excerpt from Rilian in the Eyrie as cupbearer to Jeyne Arryn.

Every morning, Rilian would sing to her birds and run her fingers along their feathers. She collected heaps of songs from her time in Runestone, as well as ones she picked up from the Arryns. Mother’s Hymn, Alysanne, the Rat Cook, Off to Gulltown, Flowers of Spring, Autumn of My Day, The Bear and the Maiden Fair. When the moon would rise at her window, she would hoot at her owl, sharing a secret language. “Your claim to Runestone is being questioned.” Rilian jumped at the unexpected sound of Jeyne Arryn’s voice in the midst of her hooting. She nearly mistook the owl for speaking. “What ever happened to ‘May I come in?’ ‘How was dance training today?’ ‘The duck we had tonight for dinner wasn’t cooked properly, I ought to have a word with the cooks-’” “Jest all you like, girl.” Jeyne cut her off, her voice biting. “This is a matter that you must face.”

I don’t know where to begin but I’m so glad you asked. I’ll give the basics.

Rilian Royce is the daughter of Rhea Royce and Daemon Targaryen.

I refer to Rilian as they/them because they’re nonbinary but if I ever write their story, I’ll be referring to them as she/her because gender fluidity isn’t well known in Westeros.

Became Lady of Runestone at the age of fifteen. Married Ser William Royce (a knight from the Seven Who Rode and their cousin) shortly after to create their heir.

Also, asexual with a soft romance with Gwayne Hightower maybe? platonic soulmates? asexual soulmates? I’m still deciding.

HATES Targaryens because they witnessed Daemon giving Rhea the divorce rock and he tried to steal their inheritance. Mainly hates Daemon.

Becomes lady regent for Aegon III after the Dance because they’re a protective big sis.

Much like their parents, very sassy, bigmouth and has no filter.

For the ask game, Berenice + Rillian (let's pretend they exist at the same time shhhh)

I've got the feeling they either love each other or can't stand to look at the other

Lemme do the math real quick.

Berenice would be Rilian’s cousin’s/stepmother’s granddaughter therefore would be third cousins??? I think??? Let’s just pretend in this scenario, they are first cousins.

Now, it all depends on what era Berenice and Rilian meet. In their “I hate Targaryens” stage, Rilian wouldn’t give Berenice the time of day due to bias.

But in their “open to select Targaryen’s” stage, I think they would like Berenice. They both value honesty and at first, most people are put off by Rilian’s bluntness. But I think Berenice would appreciate their candor. Until it manifests to them seeking her out during feasts to freely talk shit about the nobles all night.

But I also feel like Rilian would be protective of Berenice??? Like, this is my little emo cousin. Don’t breathe her air.

I started working at Bath & Body Works a month or two ago so here are my ocs favorite Bath & Body Works fragrances

Mabel Waters: Mabel loves flowers and everything sweet so I’d say she goes for the sweet botanical smells like Sweet Pea or Gingham Gorgeous. She buys Helaena the Halloween fragrances like Vampire Blood & Ghoul Friend because Helaena is a Halloween girlie source? feminine intuition. She doesn’t buy Tyland anything because he nags about how she spends too much.

Rilian Royce: Realistically, they wouldn’t buy anything but the hand sanitizers and occasionally a candle on clearance. But if they did get body care�� they’d go for the original Gingham/Gingham Fresh and Mahogany Teakwood.

Nysa Lannister: She’s been shopping for years. She likes the og lines. In the Stars, Into the Night, Champagne Toast. Buys the wallflowers and seasonal candles too. She buys Tywin Noir and Bourbon and he acts like he doesn’t like it because it’s not boujee boujee like Dior or sum, but she knows he likes it.

Maeby Lannister: Yes, we’re including the babies because this one is too easy. Strawberry Poundcake and Pumpkin Swirl Cake. Every girl under the age of 14 buys these. Also bought the milk perfume because Melanie Martinez fan over here but rarely uses it.

Vhaenya Targaryen: Gets the Everyday Luxuries mists because she really thinks it’s luxurious. Gaslights everyone into thinking she smells that way naturally. Vampire Blood because she dabbles in witchcraft.

Constantia Snow: I feel like she’s a Cozy Vanilla Bourbon, because every damn shift, someone is asking if Cozy Vanilla Bourbon is in stock so it must be crazy good. She’s like the Rihanna of Panem, everyone comments on how good she smells. Also into the aromatherapy line because any type of therapy dealing with Coriolanus is a necessity.

“Who shall our glorious knight crown as the Queen of Love and Beauty?” The presenter’s voice boomed through the stadium to rouse the audience for the last ceremony of the tourney. The knight basked in the applause, he must’ve been from the south. Northerners and Valemen didn’t flaunt their successes, nor their comeliness.

Rilian’s hands gripped the skirts of her gown as she readied herself to leave the tournament. She came what she set out to do, watch the joust and drink the free wine. The crowning of the Queen of Love and Beauty was of no interest to her. She nearly made it out till she was stopped by a lord who placed his hand on her shoulder.

“Unhand me, you heathen-” She paused as she saw the winning knight halted in front of the stalls, his gaze undeniably set on her.

“Princess Rilian-”

“Not a princess.” Rilian muttered in the middle of his performance.

“Firstborn daughter of Prince Daemon Targaryen, I crown you my Queen of Love and Beauty.”

Her shoulders stiffened at the overwhelming mixture of aw’s, hollering and clapping. She cursed herself for not taking her leave as soon as the joust ended. Her beauty was the trait she valued least among herself, despite men of the realm believing that to be her redeeming quality for her biting tongue. It wasn’t earned, she was born with it. Still, amongst the discomfort, she mustered a weak smile as a wreath of flowers was placed upon her head.
