Personality: A former Hikikomori found and recruited by the warriors of hope, Airi is usually quiet and monotone, she speaks in a very monotone and punctual/factual way like the poetry she likes to write, she’s very misanthropic due to her trauma and actively avoids outside contact beyond the warriors of hope, she has a little crush on Jataro, eventually she starts spending time in secret from the WOH with Komaru and Toko initially to gain more info on them but eventually she warms up to them and agrees to tell them more info about the WOH spying on them abs giving Toko and Komaru notes on what’s happening behind the scenes and sending monokuma kids to help them as she takes down the WOH from the inside, eventually Monaca catches onto Airi’s plan and sends her into a contained claustrophobic room which is playing on the projector a deepfake version of her parents killing each other on loop, when Kotoko helps break Airi out of her room near the finale Airi has scratch marks on her neck from failed suicide attempts by using her nails to scratch her throat until it bled, Airi heads with Kotoko to confront Monaca with Komaru Toko & Haiji as Monaca reveals that Airi’s mother is actually both Her’s and Monaca’s mom making Airi Monaca’s half sister as well as revealing the fact that the reason Airi was a Hikikomori and refused to come to Hope’s Peak Elementary way before the tragedy is because she came into the room after her mother killed her father because of a disagreement and then killed herself out of grief as Airi discovered their dead corpses and then locked herself in her room for days, eventually she had to bury the corpses of them if she wanted to use the living room until the Warriors of Hope found her in her house and recruited her as the Scribe of the warriors of hope.

Airi calls Monaca out and says no matter when no matter why she will oppose Monaca, becoming the ultimate hope to Monaca’s ultimate despair, after the ending Airi stays with Komaru and Toko in their house.
