This is so funny. fdghdfghdfg
Why is Lori so wide. And why is Vinnie's outline so child-like!! sdfghdsfgfds He's just short! And not even that short. He's 5'4.
I've said somewhere before, that Nader felt betrayed when Geralt kept growing and he didn't. "We're supposed to be twins!" But my god does it feel different seeing them side by side. asdfjhasjdkhfkjasd

tell us about fae's kids!
🥺🌹🌈 Thank you for indulging me... Unfortunately this ask was so vague I was left unsupervised and I'm about to be long-winded.
I've gained a bunch of followers since I talked about them last and even more since I first spoke about them, so I'm going to try and give myself space to be repetitive on my blog. I use the words ren and renny on occasion to refer to Fae as a parent in lieu of a gendered parental term.
Fae is my fe3h My Unit | Byleth oc, and I've semi-recently added to their family. I am still very fond of my ot4 in their original configuration, but also have grown attached to Avery my few3h My Unit | Shez oc, and allowed myself to add another baby to my now-ot5's family. I'm going to talk about my ot5's children as Fae's children.
The eldest is Halvard. He's Hilda and Lorenz's first child. He has pink hair and is a tall, thick child who in no way physically resembles his father. But in mannerisms he's much like him, trying to puzzle things out, speaking of personal responsibility / noble duty but with a more obvious understanding of the meaning of honour rather than hierarchy. The pose, of the raised hand. And he's competitive and can be riled to bad behaviour. He is especially polite around Fae, compared to how he will joke with Hilda or let curiosity and frustration win out with Lorenz. He knows Fae the longest by virtue of being the eldest, and he knows them as the quietest of his parents, and a look of disappointment or small gesture of pride affect him deeply. He feels very responsible in general but (in a scenario where my whole ship are together or closer than post-canon would allow) especially after the twins are born. He revels in being the big brother in a way that the smaller age difference between him and Lorencia didn't allow, even when the pressures of knowing what to do about the lives of others or his own desires. He has a major Crest of Goneril.
Lorencia comes next, also Hilda and Lorenz's. Lori and Halvard are named with inspiration from their parents' names; and only so because while I can imagine Lorenz would be the kind of man who would name a son after himself, I also like the idea of him wanting to honor Hilda first, and the Gonerils in general considering his statement in their A support about having a brother like Holst, and by extension a loving family. Anyway! Lorencia! She too has pink hair, and I often depict it has being a little wavy, but she's pale as her father, and shares his nose and narrow purple eyes. She also, among all her siblings, speaks like him, a little old fashioned and in a way that she feels is direct but that others feel is circular. She's anxious and passionate and polite. She's three years younger than Halvard and three older than the twins. She could have gone to the Academy earlier but she holds off to go at the same time as her younger brothers because she's so paralyzed of failure and being alone. She and Fae get along very well, with Lori able to inquire and confess to things that she might otherwise worry would disappoint her other parents. She has a minor Crest of Gloucester.
Then it's Fae and Claude's fraternal twins, Nader and Geralt. Nader is the elder and in my post-canon stuff is heir to the throne that Fae and Claude sit. While Geralt's daily lessons didn't really differ from Nader's, he still kind of goes through phases about whether he feels equal to his brother, whether in the eyes of others or his own, and whether he's comfortable being a sidekick or protector. They pull pranks and play games, and feed off of each other's energy, and Geralt reaches moments of his life where he'd rather be his own person and doing his own thing, and it takes a while for Nader to be comfortable with that too. Nader has no Crest, but Geralt has the Crest of Flames, and so he gets to practice using the Sword of the Creator with Fae. I think they both have a good relationship to Fae, they learn to communicate their feelings in their own ways, taking cues from them and Claude so that it's a little chaotic but well-meaning. Geralt starts identifying as nonbinary (he/they) sometime after their time at the academy, and never needs to come out as gay but only ever has men for partners. He also outgrows Nader by a lot. With Nader only reaching 5'6" while Geralt hits 6'2". They both have green hair, and Nader's eyes are brown (like most of Claude's family) and Geralt's are blue (like pre-transformation Faedolyn).
(three more paragraphs below the cut)
Sadaf, Fae and Claude's third child, and Baldovin, Hilda and Lorenz's third, can also share a paragraph. While their elder siblings were planned, these two kids were decidedly planned, with Sadaf being born only two months before Vinnie. Baldovin looks like Lorenz with a shorter-wider jaw. He has purple hair and purple eyes, and grows a beard to distinguish himself from comparisons in his adulthood. He's a brat, vengeful and easily goaded, and has a good sense of humor featuring the loudest laugh of all his siblings. He is far shorter than Lorenz's other two children. Sadaf has green eyes like her father, and green hair like her ren. She's patient, calculating, and her laughter is rarely experienced except with people she is very close to and comfortable with. She's the first to call Baldovin, Vinnie. They're best friends, as close as the twins. They both have minds for strategy (possibly from dealing with the twins as older brothers), though Sadaf's composure inspires more confidence. They make Fae laugh, which makes Sadaf smile. Vinnie has a minor crest of Goneril and Sadaf has a minor Crest of Riegan, which she initially resents, as she feels far more drawn to staves in combat, but readies herself as necessary to inherit Failnaught. Baldovin's name was selected to also have similarities to how Lorenz comes from Lorenzo; Baldovino was meant as the real world equivalent of his name. Sadaf's name was selected from a list of arabic names, and might either be named for a relative of Claude's or simply Fae selecting a name they liked.
My newest fankid is Fae and Avery's child, Diana, next in the birth order. Diana is nonbinary (she/they) and has a very different view of gender and family because of their family structure and their parents' expressions of themselves (especially Fae and Avery). These differences in their own identity inspire sisterly behaviour from Sadaf in a way that Lorencia's behaviour does not. Sadaf's gender would be like womanhood a little to the left, and it's more comfortable for her to express that with Diana and others that have even less association with societal womanhood, in which Lorencia is comfortable. Diana has purple hair like her father and heterochromia (?) in her eyes, with one orange like agarthan-transformed Avery and one green / teal like post-transformation Faedolyn. The twins love to tease, but they're very loyal, and I think they'd get along with Diana as easily as their other siblings. Halvard and Lorencia would enjoy Diana's introverted nature more typically. Vinnie and Avery would inspire Diana's music taste, whatever that may be. If Sadaf was definitely planned, then Diana was ... at least arranged. Fae intended for Diana to be the last of their children, and was perhaps a little overbearing, with worry about being a good parent when Diana's older brothers would be perceived so differently by the public, and as princes too. Diana loves their parents though, and always appreciated their ambitions, especially when she starts being struck with wanderlust and seeing all they fought / fight for, and all the world. She does not have a Crest.
Fae and Claude's youngest is Simon, the unexpected baby of the family. He's ten years younger than the twins, and has green hair and green / teal eyes like Fae. All of Fae's children have pointed ears. Simon wants to grow up fast since his siblings are so much older and stronger than he is. He is not helped by his poor health and spine, nor by not having a Crest. He works on his magic instead, under Lorenz's tutelage especially. He's more of a strategist or tactician, but he ends up strong enough to act as a Dark Knight who can only use tomes. In my post-canon imaginings, he calls Hilda, mom, by accident, and is thus the first child of another couple to call another parent by such a title; and in that way brings the families closer together. In a setting where they are already more comfortably together, Simon is more of an affirmation, showing off how comfortable everyone has become with their familial relationships and how they relate to one another. As the youngest, he feels the need to ensure his opinion isn't overlooked for experience or other impressions, and he grows older, he is more confrontational than is perhaps necessary. It becomes harder to find the quiet boy he used to be, but his moments of peace bring him and his loved ones happiness. Fae adores him even when he's snippy, and he's apologetic whenever he speaks out of turn. Fae wishes him comfort in all things, and Simon wishes this for Fae and his family also, just expressing it with more worry and impatience than his siblings. He's very smart, and would be a key member of any territory that Nader was set to rule. He was named after a character in something else I liked, as it felt like a name that could be from Riegan territory.

3, 16, 18 for whichever oc you'd like to answer about!
Thank you for the ask! How about Fae's bisexual daughter Sadaf?
3. Did they ever have someone under the rainbow to look up to? Whether a celebrity or a teacher or a friend or something?
Besides Sadaf's parents (Fae and Claude as bio parents, but with Hilda, Lorenz and Avery kicking around), big special mention to Rumaisa, a Claude's sister oc of mine. Rumaisa is a lesbian and conducts herself and her relationship(s?) in a way that would be more reflective of the persona Sadaf is interested in projecting and the life she wants to live, even if Sadaf is more reserved where Rumaisa is extroverted, and Sadaf is far more strategically minded than Rumaisa is.
In some ways, Sadaf is like if young Claude hadn't felt compelled to hold up his smile to make peace; neutral or even despairing in her resting expressions; but she appreciates humour and joy and love and takes cues from Rumaisa on how to express these things in a way that invites attention she wants and discourages attention she does not want.
16. Have they ever had someone come out to them?
Her older brother Geralt probably only really came out to Fae and his twin Nader, asking to go by he/they pronouns and confessing to a romance with another young man. Sadaf and the rest of Geralt's family either would have been trusted to be told by Fae or expected to understand through these accommodations and the occasional (traditionally) women's attire that his gender is complex but personal. He's as loud as he wants to be about being gay.
But maybe someone Sadaf meets at the Officer's Academy comes out to her, knowing they would be safe with her.
18. Do they use any coding or overt signalling in their clothing, personal style, possessions or language to reflect their identity?
Yes. Sadaf would accessorize in a way that reflects her sexuality, which would include placement and style of piercings, and colors of jewels and scarves. Also the shape and fit of her armour.
In a modern setting, the length and style of her hair would also be coded in some way; differently depending on whether she was living in Fodlan, Almyra, or a real world country.
