Found this amazing prompt list from @sleepyowlwrites. Its so good and I plan on using many more.
Decided to start off strong with one of my many villain characters and one of her first bonding moments with the kid she accidentally kind of adopted.
Specifically a Red Blanket
Viss sighed as she unceremoniously kicked open the door to her one room apartment. She noted how everything was covered in a fine layer of dust. How long had it been since she’d last been here? Three, four months? It didn’t matter. There wasn’t anything of value here to worry about, she moved anything important into one of her teammates rooms at the estate. She spent more time there than here lately, but it made a good place to crash, especially in circumstances like this.
She kicked the door shut, not nearly awake enough to lock it right at that moment. Normally, after a long day’s work, she’d be tired. But not today. As she lugged in her duffel bag of equipment in one hand, a ragged bag of thrift shop clothes in the other, and the sleeping kid clinging to her back into her tiny, dusty apartment, Viss concluded she wasn’t tired.
She was exhausted.
Dropping the two bags in front of the old fold-out sofa before carefully peeling the sleeping boy off her back. After she... procured a car from the thrift store, the kid had passed out almost immediately. She didn’t blame him with how tense he was the whole plane ride. He had curled himself into the window seat, gripping her arm for dear life, and not even daring to spare a glace out the window. It was almost comical, she thought as she began her attempt to move him onto the couch, a bat hybrid scared of flying.
She cringed a bit as his claws became unlatched from her shoulder. His huge ears twitched slightly as he awoke at the movement. The boy’s huge, all black eyes opened as she put him on the worn couch cushion. He blinked in confusion for a moment before his breath quickened and he started darting his head in every direction. His leathery wings wrapped around his body. A poor excuse for a shield, but likely the only one he'd ever been able to use.
“Hey, easy kid. You're safe,” Viss assured as she flicked on a lamp. It sputtered a few times before bathing the room in a yellow light. She knelt on one knee, getting as close to eye level with him as she could. “See? You're still stuck with me.”
He stared at her for a moment, scanning her yellow eyes before nodding. He slowly unwrapped his wings, holding them up to his chest. Viss noted that he did that a lot when he was sitting, even when he was sleeping on the drive from the airport.
She grabbed the bag from the thrift shop, holding it up. “I snagged some clothes and a couple other things for you from that shop where we got the car. Take a look, grab what you like. I’ll be in the kitchen to get us some grub.”
Looking for clothes for him was a challenge. The fact he had huge leathery wings where his arms would be was tough enough, but the membrane for them going all the way down to his hips meant regular shirts were a no-go for him. The cloak he wore when she found him was practically being held together by two stubborn threads and a prayer. How the hell he’d survived on his own so far north was beyond her.
The boy stared at the bag for a moment, as if contemplating whether it was a trap or not, before tentatively grabbing it with the claws on the top of his wings. The villain nodded in approval before standing, walking a short distance to the kitchenette built into the wall. She scoured the tiny cabinets for any food she left behind, preferably some that hadn’t expired yet.
Her eyes settled on a half full box of cereal. She grabbed it, scanning it for an expiration date. 'Does cereal even expire?' she wondered. She never bothered checking the stuff her dad brough home, he preferred to catch his meals over wasting money on them. And meals given at the estate could be considered gourmet on a good day.
Resigning to the fact she either couldn't find an expiration stamp, or it had faded from its unknow time living in the cupboard, Viss decided to risk it. Stale was better than nothing. Knowing for a fact there was no usable milk in the fridge, she sighed in defeat, realizing she’d have to make the trip across the road to the 24 hour gas station. She hoped the kid would be up for it, but considering how he buried his face in her back on the trip out of the airport...
“Okay, big guy, I got good news and bad news,” Viss started as she shut the cupboard, cereal box in hand. “Good news, we have some stale-ass cereal on the menu tonight. Bad news, any milk in the fridge may as well be cheese at this point.”
She put the box on the table before turning to the couch. “Sooo, looks like we'll have to make a quick run to... the...” she trailed off as she took in what she was seeing. The kid had thrown most of the clothes out of the bag, either somewhere on the floor or beside him on the couch. The bag was still in front of him, a couple shawls and pants still inside, but his focus was trained on the blanket he was holding.
A red blanket, specifically.
Viss had grabbed it on a whim as she darted through the decrepit thrift store. She had realized she probably didn’t have any extra at her place. It had looked intact enough, it was fairly soft, and she was sure the kid wouldn’t be picky about her choice.
She watched as he slowly traced the tips of his wings along the fabric, a ghost of a smile on his chapped lips. He brought the blanket to his face, rubbing his cheek into it. An unfamiliar mixture of sadness and awe swirled in the bounty hunters chest. She had seen plenty of kids from bad situations at the estate, but seeing this one boy was making her feel a level of compassion she didn't know was possible.
She shook her head, forcing herself to snap out of those weird, mushy thoughts before walking up to him. She squatted back down to his level, carefully put her hand on his shoulder. He flinched hard, dropping the blanket to his feet, but relaxed when his eyes met hers. “He bud,” she said in a gentle voice that she didn’t think she was capable of making. “We gotta make another quick trip before we can crash for the night. See that place across the road down there?”
She pointed out the window behind the couch. His gaze followed her finger through the glass, down to the gas station below. He tensed up at the amount of people going in and out despite how late it was. He turned back to Viss, reaching up and tugging at his giant ears. It took a moment for her to understand what he was trying to say. “Yeah, they’ll definitely notice your more… unique features. Do you want to wait here while I go by myself?”
She didn’t need to guess his answer as he frantically shook his head, a small whimper escaping his throat. He suddenly gripped her arm, luckily not enough to draw blood; she did not have the energy to deal with her powers at the moment. “Okay, okay, we won’t do that,” she assured, carefully pulling his claws out of her arm. She was silent for a moment, drumming the pads of her fingers against her thigh as she thought. "Got it," she gasped.
She grabbed the blanket from his feet, the boy making a small noise in protest before she draped it over his head, wrapping it around his body. It was a large throw blanket, and coupled with the fact he was a small kid, it covered him completely, save his pale face poking out at the top.
“There! It’s cold enough out there, so I doubt anyone will look twice at you. Plus it'll keep you covered until we can figure out a coat for you. How does it feel?” Viss asked. He nodded happily, burying his face into the fabric again. “Alright good. Shoes might be another problem,” she noted, looking at his long clawed toes. "I'll see if I have have any of my old man's shoes laying around."
The boy watched the strange woman walk off to a closet to search in, pulling the blanket tighter around himself. This was the most anyone had done for him in his life. She didn't treat him like the freak his village told him he was, giving him clothes, food, comfort. He had planed to run off before the other shoe could drop when she took him off that terrifying flying box. But as he took in the warmth from the gift his new... friend(?) had given him, he settled with the fact that maybe, he didn't need to.

Pierce Sue: A True Edgelord
Backstory
(Note: I'm going to assume you read the Mary backstory.)
Pierce was overlooked as a child. He was the youngest. He was never going to matter unless something happened to his older sister, Mary. He was always in her shadow. It didn't help that he looked just like her. The worst part was that he really had no one else his age to hang out with. It was either be completely alone, or put up with Mary and her constant boasting and bragging. Pierce often chose to be by her side, at least then he may have a chance of gaining some importance in the company.
When The Sue Trading Company fell, Pierce was almost happy. Now his sister finally knew what it was like to have nothing. However, this meant he had nothing to fall back on. He now truly had nothing.
He decided to join Mary on her revenge quest. Soon, they were attending Stuart Gibbs Academy. Pierce took to Stuart Gibbs better than his sister. He proved to have quite the skill in sword fighting and using other sharp weaponry. He showed a particular talent in throwing knives. His accuracy far exceeded that of a gun. He couldn’t help but smile when his sister seethed with jealousy.
Pierce also made a friend that wasn’t Mary. He met his best friend, Missy Salvo, through their History of Espionage class.
When Mary formed the Mary Crew, he really only joined because Missy was in it. Tom was an idiot. Caleb was a coward. Ann was not someone you could approach. Mary was Mary. He especially wasn’t happy that she was the leader of the team. He made sure to let her know constantly.
Overall, Stuart Gibbs was a very transitional time for Pierce. He really came into his own. It started with his physical appearance. In order to stop being mistaken for his sister (an occurrence that made him grind his teeth), he cut his hair shorter. Then he dyed it blond instead of its natural dark blue. For a disguise mission, he got the fake name Pierce, which he soon began using as his actual name. After a talk with the Vice President of the academy (who was thankfully not a G-clone), Pierce came to a realization: He was a guy.
Unfortunately, his new life didn't change much. Instead of being known as "Mary's sister" he was now known as "Mary's brother". Pierce would go onto attempt sabotaging his sister in the Ben Ripley Challenge by framing her for cheating. It didn't work.
The rest of his time at Stuart Gibbs would be hanging out with the Mary Crew and getting into whatever antics was going on.
Currently, he's still stuck with his sister. Together they're trying to confront Gabriel and find out what happened to their mother.
