this is majken !! she’s a rumo, a neat species by @baggy-sweet, and i have no clue what im doing with her design but ! her outfit is inspired by one i wore earlier fdsgfdshgfdj.......... maj isnt remarkably pretty but shes content with her body image, caring more for her brains and voice. she cant play instruments for shit but sings quite a bit !

she came from a populous town named talesun, and always despised the old dilapidated home her family lived in. none of the rumos in her family had ever felt comfortable with their environment, but not much could be done about it. they were held in debt by the very city itself. when she got older, majken had taken over her brother’s speakeasy, but left after the business got shady without her knowledge. 

without a reliable shelter to go back to, the rumo had resorted to becoming a ‘tramp’ for safety. she traveled from farm to garden, facility to factory, eventually coming to a vast grape vineyard where she met her soon-to-be lifelong friends. orry (orville) and will (wilbur), two rabbit brothers, trailed behind maj after she was done laboring at the vineyard, helping her escape the past turmoils of talesun life.

Fantasy Majken:

"Oh, should I be? Hm... I can't really say I do. Sure, my studies might be painful for him, but Xinqin is immortal. Long after I'm gone, he'll have completely forgotten the pain."

Apocalypse Majken:

"I love Xinqin. I really do. And I'm sorry I ever hurt, but I had a good reason. I always tried to take away the pain when I could. ...Oh, the others? No, hahaha."

Some CWs for vivisection, unethical experimentation, shitty ex

Xinqin is a pretty new OC of mine! I made him because I wanted to make a very self indulgent OC. His story is a bit rudimentary right, but I love him still :) Anyways, Xinqin is a vampire! The vampire lore his universe is kinda different. Vampires are still immortal blood drinking creatures of the night- but they are also an affront to fate, and as such, when fate eventually catches up to a vampire, they die, and they die in the greatest tragedy they can ever experience.

Xinqin has a boyfriend, Majken Rosier, and at first things are really great! He's in a loving relationship, just all around having a good time.

And then Majken reveals who he really is: an angel.

Angels aren't holy or divine in this universe, they're people, but people with magic abilities that constantly affect themselves or everyone around them, and they can't be turned off. These abilities may possibly completely change your life and your self in the blink of an eye, so angels are pretty much feared by everyone. Oh, and angels also have a certain effect on vampires that I shall explain later :)

So yeah, Majken was using cloaking magic to disguise the fact that he's an angel. And Majken is also an amateur scientist who wants to study vampires. Thing is, this guy does not really care about other people, he's more concerned with making a big discovery so he can have a legacy. So he's perfectly fine with finding a vampire, getting them to trust him, and then strapping them with a table to perform experiments. Unfortunately for Xinqin, that vampire was him.

Oh, but the thing about angels and vampires? To vampires, angels just hurt. Like, an angel's gaze will make a vampire feel like they're getting burned, and an angel's simple presence will cause them suffocating pain that increases with time or a shortened distance. An angel's touch and voice is just agony as well. Majken's cloaking magic also nulled his effects on vampires. So Xinqin didn't notice anything was up until it was far too late. When the cloaking magic came off, he began to feel the pain of being around an angel :)

Anyways, Xinqin is unethically experimented on a ton, including unsedated vivisection!! And he is really out of in and in pain all the time, either from the experiments or from the prescence of his angel ex-boyfriend.

Did I mention the angst? Xinqin has a lot of time to angst. Obviously he's angsting about the betrayal, the fact that his boyfriend completely lied to him and probably never really loved him. But he's also wondering if he's gonna die. Because he knows that vampires will always eventually die in tragedy. And what's more tragic than this? He doesn't wanna die, but he's also afraid to survive, because if this isn't the worst tragedy that will ever happen to him? He doesn't want to think about what his actual death will be like.

So yes!! My angsty little vampire :)

i really wanna work on my style, specifically how i draw heads and faces and part of that involves combating any Sameface™ that may creep into my work so as a starting point i’m just doin head doodles of me ocs so i can i guess solidify their designs more and really start pushing what makes them different here’s 4 of em but i wanna do more

i really oughta just post sketches and doodles too bc my content output is woefully infrequent at best :(((((
