          Tar-Anárion was the eighth King of Númenor and the only child of Tar-Ancalimë. Unlike his mother, he was of a gentle nature, and preferred to spend his time exercising his body in athletics rather than combatting Tar-Ancalimë’s policies. In the first truly happy royal marriage since Tar-Meneldur and Almarian, Anárion wed the poet Iþiliel and treasured her greatly.           Iþiliel bore Anárion three children: two daughters, fraternal twins named Naryalambë and Celussë, and a son, Súrion. Though the new law allowed for the possibility of Naryalambë, the elder twin, to inherit, both of Tar-Ancalimë’s granddaughters disliked and feared the Queen and refused the scepter.           For her part, Naryalambë was a hopeless romantic and romance writer who hated her grandmother’s rule against marriage; when she came of age, she ran away from Armenelos with a young mariner, and did not return until Ancalimë’s death. Celussë was less headstrong than her sister, and suffered from a chronic illness that left her bedridden more often than not; Ancalimë was harsh in her words to her, leaving Celussë wishing only for peace and quiet, not the tribulation of rulership.           Thus it was that when their father was crowned Tar-Anárion, their younger brother Súrion was named the king’s heir. In time, he would become Tar-S��rion, the ninth King of Númenor.

GETTING  TO  KNOW  THE  ACCOUNT :

WHAT  INSPIRED  YOU  TO  TAKE  ON  THIS  MUSE : I was sad to see so few 4th age characters in this fandom, so I created my own. Technically she is a canon character, though Tolkien gives us no information about any children of the royal family aside from Eldarion. I just wanted the freedom to imagine the peace of the 4th age After all the toil these characters went through, I feel like they deserve peace; and Ithiliel is a direct result of a time of peace. 

WHAT  ARE  YOUR  FAVOURITE  ASPECTS  OF  YOUR  CURRENT  MUSE : Ithiliel is so humble when it comes to the conflicts in her life. She knows the struggles her family has overcome, and it gives her a sense of calm to face any obstacle calmly & rationally. Her ability to see situations from very angle make her a fantastic negotiator; despite the King’s initial hesitation to end his youngest into the world.

WHAT’S  YOUR  BIGGEST  INSPIRATION  WHEN  IT  COMES  TO  WRITING :  Seeing people’s various headcanons about the world after the fall of Mordor. I imagine Ithiliel in every possible situation and that inspires the interactions with all characters. For the first time in so many years, we meet a character that doesn’t carry the mindset of survival. Her mindset is to better the lives of her people to built the Kingdom to all it’s peaceful glory; and I think after all the death Middle Earth has experienced, it’s a refreshing relief. 

FAVORITE  TYPES  OF  THREADS :  I love putting all my characters into extreme situations, making them think quickly on their feet while trying desperately to get out of a situation, but on the contrast; I also love threads where our characters simply talk. I think this is where my greatest character development arises and it forces me to think about beliefs I had not previously imagined for Ithiliel. 

BIGGEST  STRUGGLE  IN  REGARDS  TO  YOUR  CURRENT  MUSE: My other Tolkien muse is so much larger and graceful than Ithiliel that sometimes it’s difficult to find the time for her. I know people will generally go towards a canonical character over an “OC” so my limited ability for interactions makes it difficult to balance between Ithiliel and Arwen.
