Infinite Ideals
"We meet again."
Theros opened his eyes and glanced around. A wistful smile on his lips. "But not of our own accord, eh?"
The area around them was different. On one side stood The Shinging One. Clouds of gold and space dust rolled behind them. Behind Theros, a beach with a blue ocean was behind him.
"We are the same." The Shining One tilted their head, their cloak flowing with them. "In a word of constants, we know how to change them. And yet, you decide not to."
Theros shrugged, folding his hands behind his neck. "Honestly, I don't see.. why I should? The ending will happen regardless." He smiled. "Now, if there's some huge stuff I can change and want to? Absolutely!" He glanced down. "But in the end? I'm fine with riding the waves."
"Lazy," The Shinging One chastised.
"Not lazy," he chuckled, "just understanding."
A few moments passed before the creator spoke, "I wish I was content as you. To live your life simply in this world of constants, letting the stories play out."
"It's what you already do," Theros pointed out. "It's nothing different."
A ripple and them some mist began to twist and turn. The two deities looked around before facing each other once more.
"¡Adiós!" Theros grinned, and the mist obscured both him and the beach.
The Shining One, under their hood, smiled a small bit. "What an odd little thing I made." The mist then obscured both them and the clouds.
"There you are." Aniyah looked up from the list she was making, watching Theros walk out of the backroom. "I was starting to think you messed something up in there."
Theros chuckled nervously, walking over to the counter and setting down the box. "Sorry. All the boxes looked the same, and I started getting confused."
His friend clicked her tongue with a fond smile. "At least you got it."
He smiled. "Yeah." He then added with a teasing smile, "made the choice to get it, anyway."
That promptly got him whacked with rolled up, making him laugh.

Tired
"Theros?
The blonde haired man turned his head, eyelids half way. "Hm?"
Aniyah approached him, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Are you feeling okay? You've been quiet the past few days. You've got me thinking that Sanitive took your place."
A soft yet forlorn laugh escaped from Theros, making Aniyah's forming smile drop. She took a closer look at her friend, seeing small bags under his eyes. And his eyes, which normally shined like the blazing sun, were dull like the colors Vortex typically wore.
"I'm tired," Theros admitted. He reached up to the silver chains around his neck, adjusting them. Aniyah could see small indents in his skin. "I'm.. I'm so, so fucking tired, Aniyah."
"What's wrong?" his friend gently pushed.
"Sanitive, Vortex, the rising tensions in Nivia." Theros listed off, voice bitter while there was a smile on his face. "They can't find their damned crown prince and the princess, and all the gods over there are up in a fucking tizzy."
"Sanitive is poking the bear?" Aniyah raised an eyebrow.
"Alexi tried to beat her up," Theros informed his friend. "The two got into some shouting match over her comment about the crown prince."
"Ah."
The two stood, watching the sunset. The wind gently blew, swirling around them and enveloped them. Aniyah paused before looking up at her friend. "Do you want to be alone?"
"Please."
The baker turned and walked away, leaving Theros to stand alone, looking up at the sun. The man stood there for a long while before he exhaled. He pulled up his hoodie and adjusted his necklaces, hiding the two eye tattoos on either side of his neck.
Theros spared one more glance at the sunset before turning and walking away, back to the bakery.
Maybe he wouldn't be so tired at home.
