Ive been thinking on this for a bit and I would love to write a murder mystery novel with my oc Mouse when she’s an adult but I’m not confident enough in my writing skills yet to try to pull that off, but it is on my list! So tldr the answer is probably yes! She works as a detective so it would be perfect.

“You’re a doctor, right?” She asked.

Okay, harmless enough question. “Uh, yeah. I am.”

“Where do you work?”

He started spreading butter on the toast, and stopped looking at her. “I work at a private institution out of town. I can’t really talk about it.”

He handed her the plate with the food on it.

Mouse narrowed her eyes. “Well when I grow up I’m gonna be a detective and I won’t be allowed to tell people where I work either. And you and Ratty won’t know anything about it even if you ask me.”

“I believe that…” August still wouldn’t look at her, and poured himself a cup of coffee.

“And you will want to know about my job and I won’t tell you anything.” She kept on.

“I bet.” He agreed with her, and she followed him to the deck after he grabbed his smokes and a lighter.
