taps the mic. hi everyone ive noticed that when making hybrid mc characters (both mycts and ocs) people tend to gravitate towards a handful of mobs to make hybrids of. But minecraft has many wonderful mobs that are woefully untapped for hybrid character material. below i have written a list for your perusal and enjoyment of mob hybrid concepts that arent the standard, in case anyone wants to make a character a lil different :)

Sniffer hybrid: centaur-type due to the 6 limbs. Tends to grow large. Big floppy ears, lots of fuzz and body hair, naturally brightly coloured hair (red/teal/yellow). Eyesight is poor so usually wears glasses but olfactory senses are very strong, which makes them excellent cooks. Generally gregarious and laid back. Possesses a natural affinity for gardening and landscaping.

Silverfish hybrid: small, reclusive, tends to burrow and build nests. Big segmented eyes. Covered in spines, particularly on the head, the face, the back, and the tail - these lay mostly flat against the body when neutral but are raised and flared when agitated or for expression during communication. Strongly prefers being underground and doesn't like water. Coloring and patterning of hair, skin and spines matches the type of stone most commonly found in their home biome - regular stone, deepslate, diorite, granite, tuff, andesite, basalt, calcite and dripstone silverfish hybrid communities all exist and have their own unique cultures. Masterful stomemasons who possess a natural affinity for finding ores.

Polarbear hybrid: large and very strong. Tend to be solitary but are fiercly loyal to their loved ones. Tall and broad, with black sclera, white shaggy hair/fur and carnivore teeth. Very adept in water as well as on land, and doesn't struggle to travel across ice like most other players. Very resistant to cold but weak to heat, they avoid warm biomes as much as possible. Hates the Nether. Tend to be nomadic, traveling from snowy biome to snowy biome, but will settle down under the right circumstances. Extremely proficient sailors, fishermen and survivalist experts. Often live on singleplayer servers but will move to community servers at times.

Ravager hybrid: large centaur-type. Prefers to live with several family or family-like groups in fortified towns, but not resistant to living in mixed hybrid communities in the right server. Very territorial and often short tempered, but loyal to a fault once you earn it. Has long upright horns and prominent lower canines/tusks as adults, while children have horn buds and no tusks. Very expressive in both voice and body language when communicating. Excellent endurance travelers, hunters and warriors. Not to be confused with goat hybrids (they're much larger). Extremely accomplished brewers, and notorious for their raucous parties.

Armadillo hybrid: small. Has large expressive ears, long claws on both hands and feet, and a short tail. Their forehead, cheeks, back, chest, forearms and shins have keratin armor plating, which they like to paint on and decorate. Thrives in the hot biomes, generally enjoys the Nether (will sometimes live in or around a server's Hub if the overworld spawn is too cold), dislikes the End. Small but resilient, though they tend to shy away from battle and danger. Excellent artisans, especially when it comes to ceramics and painting. Culturally consumes the giant overworld spiders and some societies will farm them on ranches.

Strider hybrid: slightly larger than average player sized. Covered in iridescent reddish scales that range from firetruck to a deep plum colour. Large, expressive eyes and a wide froglike mouth. "Whiskers" extending as fans from behind the ears, which are thin stiff feathers that detect moisture in the air. Water burns their skin like lava would to overworld mobs; conversely, lava is like water to them and they will build floating towns on Nether lavalakes. Rarely ventures out of the Nether and when they do they wear large protective enchanted hats, cloaks and boots to keep warmth in and rain out. Will not spend extended amounts of time in the Overworld unless in rainless biomes or underground - it's very rare for them to settle in the Overworld at all. Common tongue doesnt come naturally to them as their own language is a complex system of clicks and croaks, so many instead use sign language to communicate with Overworlders.

Discovery of copper and diorite antisculk properties – ae have had a shulker of the stuff on hand at all times since. I considered the actual sculk also for this but there's not a one thing that made aem start carrying around the sculk containment boxes. This is like massively affecting aer gameplay every day

Finch (c!Vwoop's partner) getting sculked and ensuing drama – In my heart this is kind of a turning point in the sculk saga given and somewhat era-defining for aer friendship w/ Vwoop. The loneliness given just how many people are sculkified. The direct worry for Vwoop's safety and possibility of compromise. It isn't your help I am concerned of.png. This is kind of what properly incites the webweave post circumstances I feel

Minty's favorite childhood memory would probably have to be finding a really cool diorite rock while hanging around a cave with her brother. This is also pretty sentimental to her as well since her brother's now dead lmao

Just a bad painting about Hound and Mirage’s sparkling Diorite (my oc).

In that AU, Hound died early, so he lived with his carrier and grew up in the habitat of beast machines. Surely he had the appearance of Hound, but he can’t be mistaken at all.

After all, his paint color belonged to Mirage.

OCtober Day 7- Palette

(This one was challenging from the get-go. Maev is a new character that came to me not long ago, and I had no clue how to fit her into the prompt. But I did it and I’m proud. Thanks to @oc-growth-and-development for the prompts, as always)

OC: Maev

           Maev may have been known in her neck of the woods as a wicked witch, and she could only halfheartedly deny those claims, but she wasn’t a hag by any stretch of the imagination. Without magically enhancing her looks, she was beautiful. And she was prideful of these looks of hers: she knew she could get rid of her small witches’ marks on her face, or change her eye color to something less recognizable, but she wouldn’t. All of her beauty was natural, even the makeup she used to adorn herself.

           A big influence on Maev has always been ancient cultures. Brutal but wise, just like her. So she looked to Egypt for inspiration on her makeup quest. In many tombs have been found rock cosmetic palettes for… well, cosmetics. And while she couldn’t possibly afford a true artifact, she was happy to have a custom-ordered piece made. Of course, it was expensive regardless, and nobody could speculate how she had that much money (“Does she steal money from her victims?!”) but she would have it.

           A diorite stone slab was carved painstakingly into a planchette shape without the hole (planchettes may be heart-shaped, but she very strictly made the difference to the carver known). Then the whole thing was polished meticulously until Maev deemed it perfect. It took a couple of years for the project to be finished, but to Maev it was well worth the wait in the end. She doted on her palette much like she doted on her magic supplies.

           Then she had to find the perfect ingredients to make her cosmetics with. I won’t (can’t) go too far into detail about the way she found the perfect shades of reds, blacks, and greens for her lips and her eyes, respectively, but I can say with absolute certainty that she doesn’t use blood for red. It’s too cliché, she’d say, and blood clots too darkly.

           Every day, her morning ritual would include the time to take out her palette and use a pebble, much like the pre-dynastic Egyptians, to grind her eyeliner and apply it, wash the stone planchette, and repeat with her eye shadow and her lipstick. It helped her meditate, honestly, to get lost in her ritual. Helped her balance herself before she went and did her wicked deeds.

TYPES OF GRANITE USED IN METROLOGY

 Types of determinedness used in metrology include Diorite, Gabbro, Rhyolite Porphyry, Intrusion Breccia, Diabase Dykes and Dolerite. 

Granite Surface Plates from grade 0 to grade 3. GMT Granite Surface Plates are manufactured to precision standards using the highest quality granite.

 DIORITE 

Diorite is a medium- grained protrusive igneous gemstone conforming substantially of andesine plagioclase and pyroxene, and small quantities of hornblende and biotite. It's the protrusive fellow of andesite. thus, a medium- grain diorite contains black hornblende and white plagioclase feldspar. 

 GABBRO 

 Gabbro is a dark, medium to coarse- granulated protrusive igneous gemstone composed of calcium plagioclase, pyroxene, and conceivably olivine, but no quartz. It's the protrusive fellow of basalt and the deep protrusive fellow of diabase. A coarse- granulated gabbro also consists of black pyroxene and/ or hornblende and white plagioclase feldspar. 

 Rhyolite Porphyry 

 Rhyolite is a veritably fine- granulated to glassy extrusive igneous gemstone( i.e., stormy), generally light in color but not always, conforming basically of quartz( silica) and alkalic feldspar. It's the extrusive fellow of determinedness. Porphyry is an igneous gemstone of any composition that contains conspicuous chargers( Phenocrysts) in a fine- granulated matrix. A fine- granulated rhyolite contains larger pink feldspar Phenocrysts, which gives a porphyritic appearance. 

Intrusion Breccia 

 Breccia is a gemstone conforming of angular fractions in a matrix of finer patches. An intrusion breccia consists of aged host jewels( wall jewels) girdled by youngish protrusive igneous jewels. 

 Diabase Dykes( protrusive connections) 

A dyke is a distance of protrusive gemstone that cuts across layering or coverlet in the girding jewels. thus diabase is a dark- multicolored protrusive gemstone, set up as dykes or blocks, composed of substantially feldspar, pyroxene/- olivine. It's the protrusive fellow of basalt and the shallow protrusive fellow of gabbro. The direct, black, diabase dyke shows cuts across( is protrusive into) the layering/ banding in aged gneisses. 

 Dolerite 

 Dolerite is composed of Plagioclase and Pyroxene. As the result, it's three times as stiff as Granite. And it deflects only1/3 rd as much as Granite, under an equal cargo. Dolerite is relatively invariant in hardness. Its Scleroscope readings comprising> Hs 95. viscosity of Dolerite is further than equipoises the 10 lesser hardness of the many veritably hardest determinedness. As the result Dolerite can give lesser wear and tear resistance than compared with other types of determinedness used in metrology. TheCo-efficient of direct expansion hold by the Dolerite is2.4 X10- 6/ oC. determinedness holds bits advanced in this regard as4.16 X 10-6/ oC. 

 When we consider the humidity immersion rate in form of Porosity chance, Porosity chance of Dolerite is NIL. But, Granite holds upto1.5 of porosity in nature. And fairly Chinese determinedness holds0.13 in form of porosity chance. either, the porosity plays the part in the Granite face plates, absorbing humidity from the air and there by diverting the plate, causing divagation on Flatness.
