Hi!! Hello!! Sorry for late response 😭

Askal and Trident would never vibe on paper. They're almost the complete opposites of each other - Trident is soft-spoken, shy, and he doesn't speak in more than two sentences. Askal is loud, fast, giddy and talks way too much. But one time during sentry duty, they were so bored out of their own minds they decided, 'hey, let's talk about something!'. Quickly, they clicked, their pace adjusted immediately and they couldn't stop talking about anything until their shifts were over. They've found out that they compliment each other on the battlefield in terms of preference, skill and experience. One mastered Jiu Jitsu and the other knife fighting, and now they're making plans mastering the other's skill, perhaps training together too? Somewhere in the conversation, they were roasting the commander off comms for 20 minutes straight.

11. Who's the most important person in their life?

He is a very family oriented man, but he loves his siblings much more than his parents. He has a trans woman sibling, but was exiled when she came out to her parents. He misses her constantly, and he protected her the most, so she was very important to him. This also made Askal a big supporter of the LGBTQIA+, although he isn't very vocal about it.

23. What's one childhood memory they've never forgotten?

Oh, where to start?! He has a very vibrant childhood and he has a lot of great stories to tell! But one time, they lived in a rural town by the sea and he had a huge barkada. They had an idea to try and recreate zombie scenes they saw in Hollywood movies. In the dead of the night, they would go to the cemetery just a walking distance away from the town, holding handmade wooden guns. They flip a dako coin to determine the zombie team and human team, and they hunt each other, like playing tigso, whispering gun sounds and playing dead with huge smiles on their faces. When there's a weird noise they would collectively scream and run towards the gate, coming back a few minutes later to continue the match. The matches often ended with a draw... and an ass whooping from their mothers. Worth it!

51. What's their favorite thing about themselves?

Being a Filipino. He is the stereotypical, bayang magiliw singing type of patriot. But he isn't proud of his country's politics, that's for sure. He would proudly show off his culture everytime he's given the chance!

4. Where do they see themselves in five years? Ten?

Askal is not a man with a plan, and he likes to live in the present and IN the moment. When he's asked these questions he would usually shrug or say he'll likely be dead.

22. Are they a dog person or a cat person - or something else?

To him it's like "are you an inhale or an exhale person?". Back home, his family has lots of cats, two elderly dogs, and a family of "tuko" (Tokay Gecko) that had taken residence on their ceiling. His family also raises and sells livestock.

47. Are they an early bird or a night owl?

He was raised by a very traditional Filipino family, and every morning is like boot camp. He's trained to naturally wake up at 3 AM and the first thing he does is boil water. He can stay up late, given his military training, but he'd rather wake up early.
