I haven't touched my wips in a month now, as I'm currently burnt out to a crisp... but these are my last 7 lines from my OC x Phillip Graves fic... I removed incomplete paragraphs, and to those who were tagged, feel free to remove spoiler/incomplete paragraphs! :D

"Tie-mog?" The two Shadows scrambled to stand at attention, 5-2 however, was stuck in his position.

"Tee-mog, sir." he said with a smile under his balaclava, to which Graves raised an eyebrow, and the Shadows quickly stood at attention. The vehicle clunks loudly followed by an awkward silence. The stone-faced Commander then says, "I challenge you to a friendly boxing match."

He comfortably sat in his swivel chair in a dimly lit office, examining the slightly fidgety Shadow before him.

"Commander, I'd like to file my resignation."

Heavy air filled the room, the standing Shadow was black and blue in all limbs, bandage patchs prominently bulging under his gray shirt.

From my AC Valhalla fic Water of Life, my most favorite WIP but also the bane of my existence. LOL

Vili smiles and drops his gaze back down to the furs, where Ubba’s hand rests in both of his. He watches his thumbs pass over the lines and scars and bumps that decorate Ubba’s hand, mindful of two knuckles that are lightly bruised and swollen. Another story to be told and from the look of it a recent one.

“Who did you punch?” Vili asks jokingly as he turns Ubba’s hand slightly to draw attention to the bruising, the new bracelets already catching a flicker of light from their movement.

“No one,” Ubba replies through a huff, the injury clearly not worth mentioning in his eyes. “Only the trim of my ship when we were caught in a sudden storm.”

IN-GAME BIOGRAPHY

Jason "Askal" Timog was born and raised in the rural mountains of Davao Oriental, Philippines. At 18 years old he enlisted in the army, motivated by the rampant terrorist attacks on his country. He would later join the Philippine Scout Rangers, where he was nicknamed "askal" meaning "feral dog", from a habit of baring teeth during vigorous trainings.

One of his deployments was a joint operation between MARSOC and the Scout Rangers, tasked to take down a chain of Al-Qatala strongholds in Southern Philippines. Among the MARSOC operators was Phillip Graves.

In 2019, Askal and several other Rangers were involved in a mutiny. Although it was a failure, the rebels took multiple innocent lives before fleeing the area. Askal barely escaped trial with the help of his sister. She took him to Canada to hide, but it was a matter of time before he's recognized.

Commander Graves approached Askal at a perfect time, offering security in exchange for his expertise. In 2021, Graves formed "Whiskey Company", a group of operators specializing in reconnaissance, amphibious and jungle warfare. Askal is among the most capable of the operators.

Early 2023, Whiskey was dispatched to track down Konni strongholds across Europe and gather intel of Makarov’s inner circle. The intel would later aid TF-141 and Shadow Company on their relentless search for Commander Makarov.

They are friends though he just teases her a lot because he's a gremlin

Nuniq is a fairly chill person (forgive me for that pun) and they'd get along pretty well

When he was getting recruited, along with asking Brimstone to leave the recruitment room the recruiters also brought in some agents with similar experiences and opinions of Kingdom and Nuniq would be one of them

— ukiyo definitely sees koi as a younger sister, probably calls her 妹 every once in a while (妹 — younger sister)

— she's like the energetic older sister/cousin, hangs out with koi often and helps her out when she can

— ruffles koi's hair . like way too much

— kiyo hates doing paperwork but if koi ever suggests doing it for her, ukiyo is shaking her head no and insisting she can handle it and that koi should rest !!!

— koi is just so nice, ukiyo loves her sm and only wants the best for her! this does mean ukiyo buys her a bunch of stuff like sanrio keychains and sweets

— she can't draw but she'll ask koi all about graffiti and ask if she can draw one of her ghosts

— gave koi an omamori for pretty much everything, prosperity, safety, success, you name it

— she has trouble controlling her ghosts sometimes but she'll try her best to have them on their best behavior with koi as to not spook her! (well spook her too much at the very least) if they do end up scaring koi, ukiyo will be scolding them for the next hour or two

— also?? ukiyo and koi dressing up together!??! ukiyo may or may not buy a few dresses that fit koi's style and they run around in frilly little dresses together!!!

Fun facts about him ^^

1. Timog literally translates to "South".

2. He's a firm believer of the supernatural. He credits his success in combat to his anting-anting (amulet). In his local mythology, an amulet is earned by winning a Tongits game against the dead. The amulet's form is strictly kept secret.

3. His favorite sport is sepak takraw, and once played competitively during his high school years. Among other hobbies include gardening, as he used to help his parents grow crops in the mountains.

A S K A L

Askal - its a Tagalog shortened word for "Asong Kalye" which means "street dog" in English. In some symbolic way, he has become a stray as he has no "home" (though he still contacts his siblings, he doesn't stay and/or live with them for a prolonged period of time and has a hard time of staying in one place thanks to Kingdom) and he's like a dog because of his unwavering loyalty and love to those he cares about deeply.

Nathaniel Esperanza - Nathaniel is of Hebrew origin which means "God/El has given" or "Gift of God" (which is ironic as given the biblical nature of the name, Askal is an atheist (somewhat)." Esperanza is a [feminine] name of Spanish origin, meaning "hope" or "expectation."

Bantay - Bantay is a Tagolog word that either means "to watch" or "to guard." This stereotypical dog name is used for dogs that are tasked to guard the house.
