Marwa wwdits is so funny to me because she literally had her entire personality erased for the sake of developing an m/m ship IN THE SHOW. The fandom didn’t even have to do that, they did it for us.
#/j /lh /joke#obviously she wasn’t an established character prior to s4 and literally her whole purpose as a character was to fulfill the role she did#so it’s not the same as when fandom does it to more important female characters#i do love to see it when people genuinely talk about the way marwa was treated though#because it is horrifying when you think about the implications too hard#and there are so few important female characters in wwdits#i think it’s a good example of a show that is not misogynistic in its content but is in its lack of female characters#like nadja and the guide are both amazing but. that’s two people. and for the majority of the show the guide hardly counts#so i get why people are genuinely upset about marwa#i think i felt it less because i binged the show but#i can’t imagine being excited about there finally being another female mc and then. all of that happening#okay i have more text in the tags that i do in the post#i need to shut up#but i’m sleepy and wanted to ramble#can you tell this was sparked by me reading a good fic?#my post#wwdits#what we do in the shadows#marwa wwdits
