because i still have addison montgomery brainrot and have thoughts about her- i find it so fascinating that despite her self assured, very confident outward demeanor, she sort of has a tendency to let herself be walked all over in most of her relationships and friendships. like, this is more so in private practice than in greys necessarily (the way derek treated her in seattle notwithstanding bc that’s is so complicated and i could write essays about it) so maybe it’s a reaction to the divorce? like, she still thinks she has to pay some sort of penance? with sam especially, she continues to put him on a pedestal for literally no reason at all. even her friendship with naomi- naomi continues to treat addison like shit and act as if she’s doing addison a huge favor by being friends with her yet addison still consistently refers to naomi as her best friend. it makes a little more sense once you understand her childhood but jesus is it frustrating to watch.
