lmao I appreciate that you aren't already sick of hearing about my song choices by now. (Thank you for tagging me!)

I have so many songs I love for a lot of different reasons and also the kind of pothole memory that can make me blank on things I listen to every day, sooo here's a random selection off the top of my head in no particular order!

1: Pools by Glass Animals

It was such a struggle to pick just one song from this band, the whole Zaba album gives me Ancient Dark Entity/Guy In Way Over His Head romance vibes and it's one of my favorite albums of all time. (revealing my monsterfucker manifesto rip)

2: Escape Artist by The Zolas

I found this song recently and it's one of those cases where I haven't paid much attention to the band itself but I'm completely obsessed with just the one song. I end up listening to this at least weekly and have it stuck in my head constantly. There's no deep reason, it has a pleasant beat and sounds queer.

3: Friends in Low Places by Worthikids

Can't not include this. My bf showed me this batshit clown cartoon (Bigtop Burger) on youtube and the outro slapped so hard I had to look them up on spotify and it turns out they have some really good music.

4: Hide by Rainbow Kitten Surprise

The whole album hits hard, but I found this band through the music video for this song and genuinely cried over it. If you've never heard the band before, I have no idea how to describe it other than absolutely not what you think it's gonna sound like. If you like them then Brick + Mortar is also worth checking out.

5: Ima Read by Zebra Katz and Njena Reddd Foxxx

Idk I just really enjoy this dude and his music videos

Product of My Own Design by Artio (link) Something about "Get on your knees and Worship me/the Problem Child becomes the Only God you'll ever see/You made me believe that I was never mine/I made my God-damn self, a Product of My Own Design" gives me such a cathartic feeling when I sing along to it.

2. God Complex by VIOLENT VIRA (link) If you want yandere inspiration listen to this one. "I wanna be your true love/Yes, I'm the only one you could cry to all the time/I could just be who you need/Darling, won't you just plead Or should I begin to bleed?"

3. Barbie & Ken by Scene Queen & Set It Off (link; warning for: violence, weapons, domestic violence, blood, injury) Honestly, there's not much to explain. Barbie and Ken go at each other with deadly weapons in the Pink Dream House. "Two go in, only one comes out"...reminds me of the barbie games I used to play as a child honestly, lol... (lots of screaming/loud sounds)

4. Call Me King by AmaLee (link) Love the vibe of "hell hath no fury like a woman scorned" that is this entire album. Going from victim to villian. 10/10. 100%. This particular song gives me such catharsis. "Call me King/I don't need- need a thing from you now that I'm King".

5. Wrong Side of Heaven by Five Finger Death Punch (link) Can't get enough of this song. Love it so much. (heads up if you are not as into the rock or heavier music, there is some screaming in this one). I just love the idea of a "wrong side of heaven" and a "righteous side of hell"; the idea that there is more to it than just 'good' and 'bad', and that sometimes bad things are done for the good reasons, the question of if that still makes them bad, or does the intent change the entire meaning of the action...Plus it's just so catchy.
