#obligatory ‘daniel stop talking lol’ tag

ok so i’ve been replaying one of the games in the heart’s medicine series (specifically the second game) because i realized i had only watched playthroughs of it and then immediately thought “eh why not play it myself i have time to anyway”

this game series isn’t that popular so there’s a pretty good chance that this post will go nowhere and no one will know what i’m talking about

but guys. the way that this game does foreshadowing KILLS ME INTERNALLY. (/lh) i need to give yall some examples of this because on one hand haha funny and on the other hand wow why is this game so dark when it’s basically diner dash meets greys anatomy. the two funniest examples:

daniel (one of the main characters) is talking to allison, the protagonist, very early on in the game about the hospital renovation efforts and lets alison pick the color for the new wing even though the colors he’s debating between are basically the same. allison is a bit hesitant here for obvious reasons (important renovations and also daniel’s basically in charge of everything in the hospital at this point) and then in response daniel just happens to say “besides, what’s the worst that could happen?”

after he says that, the game immediately cuts to a snapshot of an ambulance falling off of a cliff with several main characters inside it INCLUDING BOTH HIM AND ALLISON.

and then like five levels later (so like probably a month-ish in time passes) daniel talks to allison again and tells her that the renovation process is getting really frustrating and he’s really stressed out about it. alison tries to be nice and comfort him about this the best she can (she can’t really help all that much here because she’s still an intern and doesn’t really deal with much besides her internship) and then towards the end of that conversation daniel just happens to say “at least things can’t get any worse, right?”

wrong!! the game proceeds to then show THE SAME AMBULANCE FALLING OFF A CLIFF CUTSCENE.

i’m just convinced that daniel needs to shut his mouth before more bad stuff happens cause of him lmao and this game’s foreshadowing is both great and wack

Cobra Kai/Karate Kid Survey!

I was tagged by @elsonambulo - I’m glad you tagged me because it gives me another excuse to talk about my stupid karate show.

It's the year 2021 and you're obsessed with The Karate Kid. How are you feeling?:  I know for a fact that I am annoying a whole range of people with my nonsense and I CAN’T STOP. 

Did you grow up with TKK or are you new to the series?: I was 7 or 8 when Karate Kid came out so I saw it (you couldn’t avoid it) but I was always more into John Hughes movies. I had the obligatory 80′s crush on Ralph Macchio but it was short lived. I only ended up watching Cobra Kai because of friends of mine in Encino (I lived in Encino for 15 years and recently moved away) were laughing about the 3 blocks of Ventura Blvd they filmed on back and forth and demanded I watch it. So I forgot about it and then my husband, who is a huge Karate Kid fan, started watching it and told me I would love it and made me watch with him. And then I fell in love with Billy Zabka. And then I fell in love with the show and started annoying everyone on tumblr with it.

We gotta do the basics. Favorite character:  Obviously Johnny Lawrence. But I do love Amanda LaRusso. 

Favorite ship: Lawrusso 

Underrated character: Aisha. They did her dirty. 

Underrated ship (don’t say therapy, lol):  I don’t really ship anyone else, they’re all kids... I’d have to think about this... Amanda and Ali. 

Wax On, Wax Off or Sweep the Leg?:  Sweep the leg because I don’t like doing a lot of work. 

Which of Daniel’s dumb little outfits is your favorite?:  Daniel’s stupid outfits now or back then? 

Character from the films you most want to return, who’s not Terry Silver: I never paid enough attention to the other Karate Kid movies to have an informed opinion on this. 

Scene that lives in your head rent-free: “The scene in the car where Amanda calls and Daniel goes, "Johnny Lawrence is with me." Whore stop last naming him, she knows who that bitch is!!! Stop giving weight to his name! Does Johnny have a middle name? If he does and if Daniel knew it, guaranteed he would have full named him in that scene. I despise him. :')” I’m keeping this answer because @elsonambulo nails my feelings on this. 

Will Anthony LaRusso ever be relevant?: He did it to himself.

You live in The Valley and are forced into the karate gang war. Which dojo do you join?:  I want to say Cobra Kai because it makes me sound cool, but honestly, the Cobras scare me and I would like to just do stretches in a nice garden with a koi pond.

What’s your training montage song?: I don’t know but it would probably be by the Ramones. 

It’s the crossover event of the century!  Which TV show are you combining with Cobra Kai for an hour-long Saturday night special?: My immediate reaction was Killing Eve. I’ll leave it.
