Objectqueer

Objectqueer is a sort of umbrella / vague term, much like the term Queer, but specifically for people who either don't want to put a specific label on their objectum feelings or can't for whatever reason, be it neurodivergence, being aspec, not being posic+, or.. well, any reason, really!

Flag colors are taken from the Objectum flag and edited slightly for better cohesion. the red+white stripes in the middle are meant to be a nod to the iconic red circle in the Objectum flag!

I like Linux, Pokemon glitches (particularly related to the Decamark or gen 3 in general), Pokemon FireRed/LeafGreen, malware, web 1.0, rhythm games, vocal synths, garage rock and rabbits.

I'm also incredibly objectqueer and it kinda bleeds into everything I do m(u_u m). However, don't let that nor the lovecore undertones fool you, I am incredibly aromantic.

as an objectum/objectqueer/objectix individual, it can be all of the above!

for me specifically, i am sexually attracted to objects. any attraction to objects, including sexual, romantic, and platonic, is considered objectum.

some individuals are only attracted to objects in their fantasy, or only attracted to fictional objects, etc.

some use objects as a part of kink. the only kinks i can think of that are focused around objects are knifeplay and gunplay, but other kinks sometimes use objects too. some people consider their attraction to objects a kink in-and-of itself.

i've never actually met someone that is attracted to objects as a form of coping, but i'm sure they exist.

"objectum" is a very broad label and can be a lot of things. anyone who is attracted to objects belongs in the objectum community!

like looking through the objectum tag i cant really tell if its like...a coping thing or an actual sexuality or like a fantasy thing or a kink thing

PSA - How to get HQ textures for CC objects.

In a recent patch, EA capped texture sizes making CC with HQ textures look blurry, but you can fix it to get your crispy textures back!

You can either download my HQ Mod (updated recently to include this fix), or fix it yourself by editing the graphicsrules.sgr - instructions are under the cut.

The technical details - EA changed the ‘TextureSizeThreshold’ for objects to 1024, which means the max texture size that cc can use is 1024x1024, which makes cc objects with 2k or even 4k textures look noticeably blurry ingame, compared to s4s or older patches ingame.

How to fix it - go to ‘\Origin Games\The Sims 4\Game\Bin’, and open ‘GraphicsRules.sgr’ in your text editor of choice. Then, find the line ‘prop $ConfigGroup TextureSizeThreshold  1024′ in the ‘setting $High’ section of ‘option ObjectQuality’, it should be around line 336. Then, just change it to 4096.

Blurry Textures FIX

Does your game look like the first picture on the post? Well, don't worry, there's a fix!

Recently EA has nerfed the texture quality for the game entirely, capping it from 2048x2048 to 1024x1024. It does not matter if your game is on ultra, it will be capped to 1k. That's a bummer! Not only some EA assets are the 2k variant and now will look blurry, the case can be applied to numerous pieces of cc, especially alpha creators!

This was done to achieve better perfomance in the game, since recently it has begun to struggle. If your game is fine and it is fluid overall, you can revert this change back by locating your The Sims 4 Game Files folder. Mine happens to be C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4\Game\Bin,  yours could be different depending on what the name of your disk is, if you customized it at installation and so on and so forth.

Once you've located this folder, you will find a file called GraphicsRules.sgr. This file contains the instructions the game reads at launch for the graphic settings. You can open this file with Word Pad/Notepad (which comes preinstalled on Windows since Windows Vista).

Once the file is open on Word Pad, you'll have to find the line of code that says " option ObjectQuality ". You can find things in word pad by using the finder feature, it has both a button and a shortcut (Control + Shift + F). Input that line of code and it will jump to it!

From here, locate " setting $High " (the fix should also work with setting $medium if your Object Quality setting in game is set to medium). Locate " prop $ConfigGroup TextureSizeThreshold  1024 " and change 1024 to 2048. There you go! Your game can finally enjoy high quality textures again.

is faust a companion or what? why do you have him? faust is somewhere between my companion and an extension of myself. i care for him as if he is my son. i was not given the opportunity to have a healthy childhood where people cared for me as they should have, so i give faust a life that i did not get. this is a form of coping and trauma processing for me.

note: i am objectqueer/objectum. faust is not a partner in a romantic/sexual/etc sense, but i do own objects that i view sexually. i ask that you block me (or at least not follow) if object sexuality/romanticism makes you uncomfortable.

is this related to age regression/dreaming/CGL? no, i do not age regress/dream. regressing is dangerous for me as i experienced severe trauma during my childhood that may be brought up by regression. i do not pretend to be a child, either. i'm just an adult with childish hobbies.

are you POSIC+? no, i do not perceive objects as having emotions or identities. i just have strong attachments to them due to autism, coping with trauma, etc.

how old is faust? at the time of writing this, faust is chronologically one year old (i got him in 2023). as a character, he has no age. he takes on whatever age i feel like giving him at any given moment.
