(gif not mine!)
Anakin nudged your side playfully as you sat next to each other in the cantina, "Obi-Wan just entered."
Immediately you flushed red and ducked your head, slapping Anakin's arm, "Ani! What don't you understand about 'keep it a secret?'"
A chuckle fell off the younger boy's lips as he threw an arm over your shoulders, "There's no need for a secret! He feels that same," Anakin immediately noticed how flustered you'd become and rolled his eyes before ducking down to your ear, "Obi-Wan adores you. Just tell him already."
Across the cantina, Obi-Wan was fuming. Anakin and you were always close Obi-Wan knew that. After all, you were only six years older than his Padawan and ten years younger than the Master himself. However, none of this meant it was easy for the Jedi to see you attached to Anakin's side, his arm thrown around you while your cheeks were bright red, clearly enjoying the closeness.
Now... seeing Anakin whispering into your ear as your cheeks grew redder and redder, Obi-Wan truly felt he'd had enough. In the beginning, the Jedi Master had been so sure that Anakin was with Padme, but now it was so clear that the two of you were together.
"If you two could at least try to respect the code, it'd be appreciated," Obi-Wan snapped as he sat down at your table.
Anakin raised his head slowly. His eyebrows scrunched as you seemed impossibly redder at Obi-Wan's chastising, "What do you mean, Master?"
Obi-Wan rolled his eyes, his attitude shocking his Padawan, "The code forbids attachments. If you could try to hide your relationship, so the rest of us don't have to watch it... we'd appreciate it."
You tensed up, your wide eyes locking onto Obi-Wan and filling with tears. Obi-Wan kept his gaze on Anakin, who seemed utterly baffled, before sparing you a glance. Guilt washing over him like a tsunami at the sight of you fighting off the urge to cry. Obi-Wan almost contemplated apologizing, but his eyes shifted, and he noticed Anakin's arm was still around you. And now he was rubbing slow circles onto your shoulder to try and comfort you, which sent Obi-Wan over the edge.
"You wonder why they haven't made you Masters yourselves yet... Incredibly unprofessional," Obi-Wan scoffed, clenching his hands into fists, "I'm extremely disappointed in you, Padawan Skywalker."
The sight of you leaping up and bolting out of the cantina shocked both Obi-Wan and Anakin, the latter of who immediately turned on his Master.
"Firstly, we aren't dating you nerf herder. You know we're close, and that's it. Truly, you should think before you act, Master. If you paid any bit attention instead of getting jealous all the time, you would've noticed that she's in love with you, not me," Anakin stood up, anger boiling through him at the thought of you crying somewhere alone, "Way to be a kriffing idiot."
"H-how do I fix this?" Obi-Wan stuttered, standing in panic.
Anakin raised his eyebrows, his eyes darting towards where you left as if to say 'what are you waiting for?', and watched as Obi-Wan bolted out of the cantina, running into a few people as he went.
You weren't hard to find, your incredibly sad life force practically called out to Obi-Wan, and within no time, the Jedi Master was standing in front of you. You kept your head down, tears falling down your cheeks as quiet cries racked through your body. Obi-Wan let out a pitiful whimper and dropped to his knees, slightly thankful that you'd chosen such a secluded place to try and hide.
"Oh (y/n)... I'm so sorry. I'm so so sorry. Anakin explained... that you aren't together. I... I regret everything I said, I was just so jealous and..." Obi-Wan sighed, feeling tears rise in his own eyes as you refused to look at him, "Maker (y/n) I love you... I love you so much it scares me. Seeing you like that with Anakin just made me so mad because I wanted to be him. I, uh, I want to be the one you go to. I want to take care of you. You can say the words, and I'll leave the order for you."
Tears cascaded down the man's cheeks as you still refused to look up, your head nestled on your knees, "I said terrible things, terrible, terrible things. But if you let me, I'll spend the rest of my life trying to make up for it. Showing how much I adore you. Please... (y/n)... say something."
Slowly, your head rose, and you sat your chin on your knees. The sight of your tear-stained cheeks was enough to make Obi-Wan's tears fall quicker, his chest tightening at the realization of how much he'd hurt you. Yet, you could never stay mad at the older man for long. You shot forward, slamming into Obi-Wan's chest and knocking him over. His arms immediately wrapped around you as a broken laugh fell from his lips.
"I love you too, Obi-Wan."
This... this was what he wanted. This was what he had waited so long for. This made every jealous moment he felt watching you and Anakin worth it. Because you loved him. You loved Obi-Wan back, and that made every moment worth it.
