i have a very specific image of modern au obi-wan who luke and leia call 'uncle obi' when he visits anakin and padme's, and his copper-gold hair is always a bit too messy from riding his motorcycle around town and he's usually wearing a worn leather jacket that was anakin's when they lived together before he moved in with padme. and the twins are always so excited to see him because he tries to bring them gifts from the places he goes, all over the world, and he has the best stories. he'll sit on the massive couch in the living room that padme chose because it could fit all five of them, and after a moment stroking his beard he'll tell luke and leia a new tale, something different every time. leia likes hearing about all the people obi-wan meets and where they're from, the conversations he's had. luke prefers the more adventurous stories, faster-paced ones, stories that seem a little too fantastical to anakin to be real when he walks in on them and hands obi-wan a mug of tea from the type they keep in the kitchen just for him. but those tales are all real to the children, so obi-wan gives anakin a smile that says 'shhh' and takes the tea in exchange for a ruffle of his hair. and later, once the twins have fallen asleep on obi-wan's lap and against his side and he's starting to drift off too, padme and anakin will sneak in and drape a blanket over the three. it always wakes obi-wan, he'll look up and blink sleepily at them, but padme will just curl up on his other side and hug him with her head on his shoulder, and anakin will press a kiss to obi-wan's forehead before settling down on the floor to tinker with his next robotics project, and obi-wan will fall asleep again knowing that wherever he goes this will always be home

Okay I know y'all love those Happy Light Side AUs but Anakin would not be a Jedi

Anakin is like "So Padmé and I are married and are having a baby

In all Reality the Jedi would not keep Anakin around okay, like they never wanted him in the first place

Mace would be all like "I have never trusted you" bs

Yoda "Selfish it is hmm. Taken over you, your emotions have, hmmmm)

Obi-Wan "AH-nakin"

Like Obi-Wan would be sad but he wouldn't exactly do anything because

HE IS THE JEDI ORDER'S BITCH (I still love him)

He would not take Anakin's side over The Jedi

He would not take Anakin's side over The Jedi

He would be all like "Goodbye Old Friend" as the Council votes to kick him out"

(Obi-Wan may check up on the Naberries-Skywalker unit from time to time but they won't be all brother close)

Anakin is disappointed but not surprised

But he is strangely relieved

But he still works with the 501st like Ahsoka does because Jedi Who?

The 501st are all the twins godfathers

Rex is Uncle Rex howevee

Luke and Leia are born eventually and Ani and Padmé are happy parents okay

Until The Jedi Order attacks

(Btw, lets just say Anakin kills Palpy by dropping a rock on him, because he is trash)

Mace and Yoda dragging Obi-Wan as *insert black model walking in gif*

Obi-Wan "Anakin is not gonna say yes guys" but they don't listen

Anakin and Padme are like "Nah, dudes,"

"Wasted their potential will be, hmm"

Anakin "They already have Force Master, me and Ahsoka"

Mace, "Ahsoka didn't even become a knight"

"GEE, I WONDER WHY???"

Thus Luke and Leia are trained by Skyguy and Snips

Padme is busy trying to undo the mess Palpy created but during her free time her and Rex provide the Force users with cookies and refreshments

Rex and Padmé work to provide Clones more rights after the war is over

And don't worry...Breha and Bail still have their kid they try so hard to have...they adopt a certain ten year old boy named Han
