"Surely," Cersei starts, hands clasped together in front of her as they walk, her tone light but with just a hint of bitterness underneath. She knows Jaime will pick up on it. "You can't think the Anderson boy will be any sort of viable option for you." Again -- there's just enough of a sour tone that someone who's been around her their whole life is going to pick up on. If he doesn't, he's more of an idiot than she'd previously thought. "This isn't the free cities, Jaime. Have your fun, but you're getting entirely too attached."

"There is him feeling welcome, and there is him thinking he can use his affair with you as leverage." Not that Kai has attempted it quite yet, but Cersei likes to be prepared. She tilts her head at her brother. "Surely you can see that happening. Or have you become just as daft and reckless as Niklaus?"

And it's true that Cersei is probably thinking a bit too far ahead. But who would she be if she did not have countermeasures already in place for such a scenario?

"What I do is none of your concern," she counters, voice hardened just a bit. Cersei steps to him, feeling all but small in his presence; she might be several heads shorter than him, but they are twins, after all. She feels just as much his equal as he should hers. They each have their unique strengths, after all. "I am always ten steps ahead of everyone else. You seem to forget that."

Cersei steps back again. "I can handle myself in a manner that raises little to no suspicion. You cannot. You're messy, Jaime. You and Kai both are. You will get yourselves found out, and you will ruin everything."

She makes sure she has his eyes before she finishes. "Be more careful."

Here we go, Jaime was wondering when this little conversation would come up since he's began spending more time in Kai's company. His steps come to a PAUSE as Cersei puts that sour tone onto to her words like VENOM. Instead of looking offended though, Jaime's expression is almost one of amusement instead. The hypocrisy never ceased when it came to his dear sister.

" You're the one who decided to allow him into our home in the first place. Do you not want him feeling welcome? " His eyebrow raises in question before he somewhat drops the teasing charade. It never lasted long when he did it with Cersei anyhow. " I am not...attached, nor am I thinking him as a viable option. " There's a DEFENSIVE edge to his voice despite the confidence he's trying to exude. Unlike most men he's met, Kai had never placed ill preconceived notions on him for being the Kingslayer, instead he regarded him as a man to be ADMIRED and respected for his actions. Despite Jaime's own hesitation to accept the praise, it was still nice to be seen like that after all the years of being a knight of the Kingsguard. It helped that Lord Anderson was easy on the eyes as well.
