The nectar looks light and has an extremely floral aroma, most likely due to the recent locust bloom middle Tennessee is experiencing. Both queens seem to be laying more eggs than ever and as a result, extra boxes have been added to the hives almost every 5 days. #Repost @oaksteaknash with @get_repost ・・・ The Oak Steakhouse beehives at @williamshoneytn are tucked away with warm winter “Bee Cozy” hive wraps. They are currently huddling together to stay warm and feeding on an ample supply of honey produced over this past summer. Egg production has temporarily shut down as the queen generally takes a break until the end of January. Though the beehive look like a ghost town, thousands of bees are working together to share the warmth produced by shivering and making sure that enough honey gets passed around to the family.
