Mhm! I am also rooting for Meteor Impact to get animated bc G O D, but right now the signs are not pointing towards that one right now. Tbh Meteor Impact would be a good one to end on. And yeah, Marionette was in the original anime, but so was Rocket Start. And they also animated a part of RS (conversation between Wataru and Natsume) in the Element anime which is why I was (and still am tbh) leaning to Rocket Start potentially not getting animated. BUT I MUST BELIEVE.
Their climax story is literally an apology for sidelining Trickstar as protagonists so much in !! era, so they could start fixing that problem with RS anime and event ^_^
And yeah they absolutely get a bit sidelined and overshadowed by other units, though sometimes they do give them the favorite child treatment, emphasis on SOMETIMES. Xday, their climax story, for example was AMAZING especially when compared to other unit climax stories. But the rest of !! Trickstar? Ayayaya man... they fell off. Their entire problem throughout the !! era is about how much they fell off, how they're broke and how much ES hates them bc of their troublemaker reputation. They did basically nothing with that at all except for in their climax story (I mean Satellite is also like that but sssshh) where they teases that Trickstar's next arc is gonna be about them once again rebelling and potentially going independent! So I'm excited to see where they're headed in the future and what the actual arc is going to be like.
So imagine getting hit in the face by potential new idols. Goodbye😭
I didn't want new idols in the first place because it'll fuck with the rotation and HappyEle already does pretty poorly with balancing their characters already with focus and such.
But if these new idols end up taking up all the focus again when it looked like Xday was trying to lead to Trickstar making a comeback as the true protagonists, it just makes me sad. I'll stay hopeful until we got more info though, but it's looking bleak out here. Especially the rotation is looking bleak if these new characters are actually playable idols oml.
It really feels like it's gonna be like "hey so Subaru is our posterboy, but do we actually have any plans for him?"
"We do, but we're not gonna do any of that. He'll just stay our posterboy"
Like dude the papahoshi storyline is found dead in Miami, god help me out of here. First they tease he might be alive in Sanctuary which is like 2.5 years ago and then Xday was about gifting Subaru the gift of seeing his dad again through an old video showcasing what papahoshi was like as a dad and now... I can see myself waiting another 5 years. But that's typical for enstars. It's not like papahoshi is the whole reason anything happens here anyways. Not at all. Why would he. And why would his son be important to anything in the plot. Protagonist? No. Just my househusband.
possible rocket start anime announcement 🤝 possible meteor impact anime announcement
one of my friends passing out instantly at the announcement
ok i have not been keeping up with enstars at all but god the rotation would be so fucked. i like that they got some good content in their climax though!!!! honestly it does suck that the revolutionary group got sidelined a lot in !! and now we need !!! for more. and now we have a new idol group for it as well. the story is gonna take 8 years for 1 normal year at this rate
i had no idea any of this was happening. subaru's dad. i genuinely forget about him half the time because no development ever comes from it (that i've seen it's been a while) but do not worry. we have your new househusband/crush to draw more lore from. and another idol group. god help us

2/16-17/2024
friday - saturday
tomorroww, work.
but right now is music time, and this is going well, actually, there's other songs that just do really really well w/ this production and it's like, very exciting how smooth this is all going it feels like. it's weirdly getting to the point of freeing up space in songs, and getting to be able to pan things farther out in ways that make more sense and sound actually good, really really fun. i'm also getting the itch to mess with that thing that simulates the pll/synth harmonizer pedal that's super fucked up, again. idk why that is so addictive to me. i guess to see if this is actually going well i need to wait on the export, but i feel like it'll sound basically good, with maybe a few things i need to mess with.
the one issue that happens regularly, that is easy to fix, is too much low end ends up coming out of these songs, because of how saturation works it just kind of blows that up, so you have to highpass that out a bit and it sort of naturally gets reigned back into a normal level, it's easy to solve, maybe it's part of the blessing w/ all this.
i am excited, honestly, to get this one over with, just so i can fuck around with getting something that sounds super weird.
maybe tomorrow before work i'll draw more guts, idk what i can even do with all these guts, that i draw, but it's fun. i like drawing organ variations, and if there's something i like/ that seems useful, that might be good, idk.
after messing with a sound, i came up with a whole freaking song i like... now i need to figure out if i have space for this 33 second long thing. and there's definitely 1 other short one i wanna finish up. i should call the songwriting process quits after that. 1 more super fast song, and then this thing is like, dancier.
maybe i just do 2 more hxc songs and leave this for something else, idk.
i think that song will go on whatever comes after this record. probably a couple eps? idk. that'd be fun, 2 more eps.
today has been pretty crazy, outside of music, cuz we also did errands day, w/ my gf's brother, he was nice today, we went to this thrift store and there were some clothes i wanted but i got something else instead, which i am really happy w/. i think i'll talk about this all tomorrow though because i'm tired.
today has been good for music, 2 songs out of the way, this mastering process is getting more and more nailed down and it sounds super good, i m o.
asnyway uhh i am so sleepy lol and it's fucked up but they have me opening monday??? weirdo stuff.
so,
byebye!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, it's been a long time! I've been doing alright, though! I'm kinda mostly waiting for my last school year to be over and find a job so I can earn money and slowly fix my life the way I want.^^"
The fandom is Blue Period! It's actually my next big focus after Mystic Messenger actually, I even found a character I consider my f/o from there! I got a special box with a sketchbook that is full of drawings and illustrations with really good quality! Since the fandom is not even active, there is stuff in this book that you won't find anywhere else, makes me feel good SMSMSM and one of the best parts is that it's in Japanese! So whenever I have progressed way more, I'll come back and read all the new juicy info and new scenarios I've never seen before, exciting!!!!
I also got some bookmarks and two keychains from there! Although I wasn't kinda happy with the shipping process, I'm still very happy I got them!!
Blue Period has also helped me a lot with my path with art, it has given me plenty of motivation and the main character has opened my eyes to so much about art, too! I felt so seen when he had the same thoughts and experiences as me, even if he does oil painting^^"
You can watch the anime or read the manga if it interests you! If you start with the anime, please check the manga out since there is so much more! If you do anything with art, it might give you motivation just like it did to me.
Learning the language can be fun but it is challenging, haha. They are many words that have different pronunciations and stuff I haven't seen in a language before. I found that listening to people speak makes me remember the words easier haha
I hope you are able to rest well, you're doing great, I reassure you! I'm also so happy I got to speak with you again, it really has been a lot of time, holyyyy!
I'm thinking of starting to use Tumblr when I get more Into art again but I'm still here, I still check some stuff every day when I can! <333
I understand that sentiment. So much changes once you're done with school. I'm rooting for this year to be an easy one for you!
Ooh, I've never heard of Blue Period before, but I looked up the premise and it sounds interesting! I will keep it in mind when I'm in the market for a new anime/manga!
It's so wonderful to be able to pull motivation from the media you enjoy, especially when it's a hobby like art or writing where it sometimes feels like you can hit a wall. Funnily enough, even though it has nothing to do with writing, Mysme is what pushed me to write more often and put more effort into it. It's thanks to these guys that I've been able to develop my skills as far as I have.
That merch sounds so nice! That sketchbook especially sounds really detailed and extra bonus that it's something you won't find elsewhere. It'll be fun to see what else it holds once you progress further in Japanese! Shame about the shipping issues with other merch pieces, but at least they made it to you!
I've had similar experiences learning languages. What I love is that each language says so much about the country's culture. I'm currently attempting to learn Italian, and while it has its difficult and awkward moments (I've messed up in front of locals more times than I can count), I love learning about the expressions and their meanings.
Thank you for your support, it means a lot! I'm taking time to catch my breath and to do the things I enjoy before life gets busy again.
#happy to hear that you're still around!#No pressure to come back in a bigger capacity though! Creating can be tiring#faye talks#stormflypirateskin

Helloo i want to talk abt the development process about this so heres my rambling below vv
I've been itching to play with blender and tweening for years, but it was just too intimidating to try out. my biggest recommendation is to start small with what you're trying to do and slowly build up from there. ergo: small ass attempts to see if this was even POSSIBLE for me to wrap my head around so made my first test
Very silly headbop animation akin to an edgy animation meme circa 2016. Very fun to do. The whole processes was done through shapekeys in this tab here.
It basically creates a "set" position for your object and then when you manipulate it, like say moving it up, it'll create process that moves the image to and from that position with the "Value" setting. Then you can create keyframes in your animation for the process to complete at a certain point in the animation timeline. And the reason why the "hands" are so much choppier is because you can change the tweening type from smoother transitions to flipping through the frames as they're set. Sorry if this is incomprehensible it took me so many tutorials to understand.
Drew all the files in CSP in separate layers before exporting them on individual pngs. same process throughout development. (with the exception of the details on the boarder.)
SO. i could at LEAST do the basics of tweening, and exporting objects in a coherent way. Now to try a thumbnail drawing for the BIG drawing above, because just because I could make smth jank doesnt mean i could do a whole coherent set.
Test 2! Very rough idea of the big image below. Once again everything here was made via csp, and exported. This was when my friend suggested using the grease pencil in blender which i DID end up using in the final product for a part of the drawing. Still messing with the basics here but it was fun to make the stars glow and play with the lighting settings. The shadow resolution is so high here but my computer could handle it bc of how little parts there were.
I did also try to export the files as one big PNG and chop them up but I couldn't figure it out.
So i went with exporting everything as different PNGS. Which did create an issue with importing? Nothing was exactly to "scale" but it was an easy enough fix.
So with that all handled there was enough confidence to go onto ACTUALLY creating the drawing fully. This part will have more artsy wips than not bc I actually had to Draw. and make so many layers.
So my first instinct was to block out the shapes and color code by how things would be layered. The lighter a shape the closer itd be to the camera via layering
Which is something i picked up from my 3d model of vitor
matchies!
And heres me ultimately settling on a pose and starting to build up the "paper" doll that is Eri
^ The layers were just for the lineart of eri. btw. my puter loves me.
Building up the stage + figuring out colors and the ground. eri did infact have a face considered but i thought they looked cooler without one.
Complete image without the texturing
Then you have the finished image in the first post :3! Here they are broken up into many many MANY pieces.
Then the stage. Kept Eri and the Stage in separate folders for ease of uploading!
I don't have many progress shots of me building up this all IN blender but I can open its finished file. heres the build without shadows on
Upward shot (with and withouth the border because uh.,? grease pencil is. strange. in blender. i think it follows your view no matter the angle?)
You can see Eri's layering here (as well as clipping issues)
Side view of everything (with shadows/camera/lighting objects on!)
The reason why the star is glowing is bc it has emission on in the shading view! I dont get nodes at ALL and im too scared to try but it looks cool!
I remember trying to add translucence to Eri's sleeves
But it got lost in the shading process
oh whale.
But ultimately the set up went well! Took a long while to get the animations sorted out (esp bc i switched em up like. half way thru and had to redo/change it up). It was fun to try and get timing right! I believe i wanted to add a squash n stretch effect to Eri's hair, but it looked a bit strange. Would like to try it again at some point.
ANYYWAYY with the GREASE pencil effect
This bit took. a minute. for me to figure out. Getting the symmetry effect to work as well as using a lineart/fill brush. Among MANY tutorials this one was my best friend . Really recommend it if you're interesting in 2d blender stuff.
The effects used was Glow, Shadow, and Rim! Rim being the thing that gave it it's texture. Which. isnt what its typically used for? but it worked anyway!
but heres it without that stuff. strange.
For the Modifiers I used Mirror (symmetry tool) and Noise (which is what gave its shake effect in the video!)
yeag. If you turn up the position slider it uhhh
does that! Very careful balance between clipping layers and such.
This was pretty much it though! Or at least what comes to mind. It was very taxing but very rewarding. I think i got this done in like... 2.5..? or 3.5 days. From the start of the eri color blocking to this. Faster than my other drawings but lord. so many tutorials. rant over
Birthday gift for my friend @spiritumantophila for their @thewizardprincessau! (Image ver below!)
Blender render vs the CPS file where I drew everything in separate layers! I referenced alleesaur's 2.5d art method and I recommend checking out her stuff!
#long post#blender#if i sound confusing my bad im talking to my family as i write this#if u have any questions feel free to ask my uneducated ass!

The Dragon Duelist : Chapter Two
Hehe oc content go brr
The next afternoon, Clay met up with the group in a random park. They all seemed as chummy as usual… how had this group POSSIBLY gotten so far in Duelist Kingdom, he wondered. But it seemed to matter little as he strapped his trusty duel disk to his arm, noting Joey did the same. He sighed, shaking off any last second nerves.
Surely this would be easy, right?
"So, you actually showed!" Joey called, that insufferable cocky grin on his face.
Clay scoffed. "I initiated the challenge, dimwit. I would never back out."
"Just sayin', you're goin' to regret this!"
"Hmph, I doubt this. Are you done prattling, or can we duel?"
"Oh hell yeah!"
Clay ignored the others cheering on Joey, put his deck in his duel disk, and drew his first seven cards. He quickly scanned over the hand, then smirked. A well balanced hand? Surely this twerp wouldn't even stand a chance! He briefly glanced up at Joey, then sighed.
"Hm, shall we begin?" He said, narrowing his eyes.
"Who do you think I am, of course let's begin!"
"In that case, I will throw two cards face down, then summon a creature you may not be too familiar with. A trusty companion, and creature to be feared - Evilswarm Zahak!"
The multiheaded dragon was summoned, and announced it's presence with a great roar and a beat of its wings. It fixed it's many eyes on Joey, roaring again.
Joey huffed. "Starting that quickly already?!"
Clay rolled his eyes. "What, already scared you can't keep up?"
"Are you kiddin'? Since you're done, I'll draw a card!" He did so, looked at the card, and smiled. "This card is one o' my favorites! The Flame Swordsman!"
Clay just scoffed. "Flame Swordsman? Are you daft? My dragon easily can eliminate your swordsman. And that is something I intend to show off now. Evilswarm Zahak, rip his swordsman to shreds!"
The dragon surged forward, and he smirked. His monster was stronger by fifty points, something that'll make this far too easy-
But wait, Joey interrupted his preemptive gloating. "You didn't let me finish, and now you gotta pay the price! I got a spell here, Stop Attack! This will force your monster into defense position. Your dragon won't even scratch my Flaming Swordsman!"
Clay growled. "... surprisingly good play… hmph… I'll just place a card face down and end my turn." He looked through his hand again, annoyed. So the twerp got a leg up on him, big deal.
It wouldn't last.
He watched Joey mumble to himself, trying to figure out something. Then he grinned. "Alright, I'm going to put a card face down, and summon another creature, Axe Raider. Axe Raider and Flame Swordsman, take out this guy's monsters!"
He rolled his eyes. "I'll let you take out my dragons, but I've got a choice for you."
"Eh? A choice?" Joey paused, seeming confused.
"I'll activate a trap card, A Hero Emerges! Now, your attacks will go through in but a moment, but you choose a card in my hand. If I can summon it, it joins the field. If it's something that can't be summoned, it'll go to the graveyard." Clay squared his shoulders, adjusting how he held his hand. "Make your choice, Joey Wheeler. And be careful. You wouldn't want to choose your own poison, would you?"
Clay smirked. He knew that that line would make any duelist nervous, and he witnessed Joey freeze up and start mumbling to himself. Probably over-rationalizing his choice, something he had seen time and time again in the past. Mind games would make any duelist more nervous, and in his experience? He would probably pick the card in the center of his hand.
"Well, uh - that one! Third from the left - my left!"
Perfect.
"Why thank you, Joey."
"H-huh? What are you thanking me for?"
"You picked the exact card I wanted you to."
"What!?"
He deftly picked the card out, holding it to the side. "I'll let you destroy my two monsters, sure. But in their place, comes something much better! My personal favorite card -" Clay slammed it down on it's spot on his Duel Disk. "Arkbrave Dragon!"
The white and gold dragon leapt to life, wingbeats loud. It roared, not seeming to care as its fellow creatures got destroyed and placed in the graveyard. And clearly, Joey Wheeler was losing a bit of his nerve as he looked between the Arkbrave Dragon and Clay himself, forgetting the temporary victory.
"Tch - you were just waitin' for me to do that!"
"And I thank you kindly for doing so. My favorite dragon on the field so early? Perhaps you should concede."
"I don't think so!"
"Then prove me wrong."
"Oh I will!"
Clay watched Joey fumble, and resort to placing a card face down. He must not have anything good, he figured, with how nervous he looked. "Is that seriously all you'll do? You bore me…"
"Don't count me out yet!"
"Did you end your turn?"
"Well, yeah-"
"Good. Arkbrave Dragon, put him in his place!"
There was nothing Joey could do as the dragon swooped in, making quick work of the Flame Swordsman. The life point counter popped up, and they both watched Joey's life points tick down from 8000 to 7400.
"First blood." Clay said with satisfaction. "Your move."
"Don't count me out just because you got first blood!"
"Oh, that's not why I'm counting you out. Come on, Joey Wheeler. Show me just how you got as far as you did."
–
The duel continued for several more turns, monsters dying and coming back, Clay seeming smug throughout it all on the outside. But as he adjusted his scarf, he started to worry. This sandy haired duelist was good. He may still have his Arkbrave Dragon, but he was down to 2050 life points, Joey down to 3450. It seemed this duelist really depended on luck - and the cheers of his friends.
How preposterous, he thought. He had gotten this far, and didn't need support from people like that…. Surely this couldn't be all to it? No, perhaps he had just been getting lucky. Much like with those bloody coin flips. Surely the luck would run out. Though he was shocked upon seeing him summon the Red-Eyes Black Dragon! How had he gotten one?
But he noticed something while dueling. In the past, a lot of duels like this seemed like a chore. But there was just something infectious about this group of five. He couldn't help but let a real smile slip at some parts during the banter, or real pride as he made a good play. How long has it been…?
"I'll admit." Clay said, folding his arms. "I am impressed that someone like you has such a formidable dragon as Red-Eyes. But this duel grows tiring, and I don't exactly feel like letting you continue on. And I have no qualms sacrificing my own monster to end yours. Arkbrave Dragon, take out Red-Eyes in a blaze of glory."
He felt some satisfaction watching his dragon charge Red-Eyes, knowing that it would leave an opening for his Luster Dragon. Smoke clouded the field, and he was ready to see the clear path. But as the smoke cleared, confusion clouded his own head.
"Gh- but how?!" He questioned, seeing his dragon wrapped in a chain, and Red-Eyes completely fine.
"Ha, you forgot about my trap card - Kunai with Chain! Not only is your dragon all tangled up, but my Red-Eyes gains 500 attack points, just enough to take out your beloved dragon!" Joey gloated, a large grin on his face. "Come on Red-Eyes Black Dragon! Use Inferno Fire Blast!"
Clay's hand balled into a fist as he watched his dragon go up in smoke, and his life points tick down to 1550. "...good move…" He growled out. "You are a surprisingly good duelist."
"Aw, thanks!"
"...I suppose I will draw my card now…" Clay did so, searching his hand. This isn't good, if I'm not careful, I'm good as dead! Hmph. I think this will buy me time.
"I put down a card face down and leave my Luster Dragon as is! Your move, Joey."
"Ha ha! You didn't even put it in defense mode? Are you admitting defeat?"
"Make your move." Come on…. Take the bait…
"I will! Red-Eyes, Inferno Fire Blast!"
Now!
"Why, you actually did what I wanted to do! I'll slip my face down card around - Enemy Controller!"
"Wha-?!"
"With it's special chest code, your monster is put in defense mode! Left, Right, A, B - a simple code to remember!" Clay made himself sound confident, before allowing himself to heave a sigh of relief.
Joey growled. "Damnit, that would've almost knocked you out!"
"I know. And so the game passes to me."
"Don't be so cocky! Next turn, Red Eyes will take you out!"
"That's where you're wrong."
"What now?"
"I've drawn a card that will bring your demise! Polymerization! With my Luster Dragon, this face down card, and three dragons in my hand combined, I bring forth your demise - COME ON OUT, FIVE HEADED DRAGON!"
It was a lucky draw, he knew that. But Clay felt a sense of pride as his end-all, just-in-case monster took the field. And, that feeling grew as he saw Joey grit his teeth, his nerves coming back.
"Oh come on, a five headed dragon? That's overkill!"
"It may be overkill, Joey, but it is also your doom! Next turn, you're doomed. So say good bye to your Red-Eyes!"
Both duelists looked over as the shorter, good natured seeming chap named Yugi called to the now panicking Joey. "Joey! Don't lose your head, you know exactly one combination that can help you!"
"Huh, Yuge, what do you mean?"
"You know what I mean! Think for a second, you've got this!"
Crap… the power of friendship again…
"Oh yeah!" Joey said, after looking a little confused at his cards. "First, I'm going to flip this card face up, Baby Dragon!"
Clay raised one eyebrow, completely unimpressed. "A Baby Dragon? Please, I love dragons as much as the next guy, but that is a weakling compared to my monster!"
"Well don't discount it yet!" Joey put down a card into his duel disk. "I've got a little friend who, if this goes right, will make things a lot better. Time Wizard!"
"Are you kidding me? You're going to take a risk that could kill you?"
"What's life without a little risk! Time Wizard, use your ability!"
Clay knew this card's ability. Either this would age all cards on the field 1,000 years, or destroy all of Joey's cards and make him take half of the total damage to his own life points. As the monster used its ability, his eyes were glued on the dial. Trying so hard to will it to the more beneficial option.
"Ha! There we go!" Joey practically crowed with success. "With that, Time Wizard ages everything forward! And after one thousand years, my baby dragon is all grown up into Thousand Year Dragon! And your five headed beast is-"
"Shriveled and decrepit…" Clay mumbled in disbelief, looking at his drastically weakened monster, 5000 attack points going down to 500.
"Ha, that's right! Thousand Dragon, end this!"
He winced preemptively, not even wanting to watch as he heard the roar of the Thousand Dragon, knowing that his life points were ticking down.
2000….1500…1000…500…
Clay kind of fell to his knees, as his life points hit zero.
