"You didn't say it had to be clean."
Inspired by season 2 episode 1 of the Wheel of Time TV series - Nynaeve drinking the dirty water.
Her thorny need to be angry/scared is blocking her off from the blossoms of connection with the One Power.
The peaches are because according to an interview the water was peach tea.

AU where Nynaeve keeps the male a'dam and uses to help Rand be a better person.

Thoughts about 2x02 - Strangers and Friends (show + book spoilers)
Okay, the second episode of today.
First about the thing I liked the least, mostly because it seems very illogical to me: the Seanchan attack on the village Perrin and the Shienarans pass through. I thought at this point in the story only Falme and maybe Tanchico were attacked or taken over by the Seanchan? Another thing I'm confused about is Perrin being able to see the past or something? I'm not sure.
The rest of the episode did not have such faults. Highlights were definitely everything in Tar Valon, especially ELAYNE. I love Elayne. I can't stop thinking about Elayne (I don't remember from the books her ever calling someone a 'subject', but it was pretty funny). Nynaeve is spying on Liandrin and a wedge is driven between her and Egwene. I'm very happy they decided to pass the Accepted test to episode 3, because I want it to last long.
Also there is Mat. No offense to Barney Harris, but the performance of Dónal Finn has really impressed me so far. He has contact with Min, who is in the cage next to him, and in a vision she sees him killing Rand. I'm curious what that is about.
Rand is in Cairhien, working in a sort of mental hospital, where he kills another worker and eventually meets Logain, and he has a fiery relationship with 'Selene'. Really, Lanfear is already giving me the creeps.
Lan and Moiraine have fallen out and now Lan is to be passed over to Alanna. I really feel for him. I guess Moiraine is now heading to Cairhien, but why? To claim her Damodred title and be a snobby lady? (no I don't think so)
Right now, I'll take a pause. Later today I'll watch the third episode (because I can't wait too long, I want the Accepted test and more Elayne!).

RIP to Nynaeve’s last name. I have spelled it differently every single time I’ve tagged her.

Who's voting "platonically?" Have they read the books? Anyways. Add to the yes or fucked up piles because those are the only correct answers.
Do you ship...

Many fantasy books prioritize male bonds and relationships between men and women. I'm glad that's not the case with wheel of time. From the moment Egwene and Nynaeve meet Elayne and Min, the story makes it clear that their friendship is a ride or die one. How fitting that at the end of the same book those four meet (TGH) it's not Rand and the boys the ones who rescue Egwene but her female friends.
Even before the important rescue scene we get a lot of strong friendship moments at Falme.
Egwene accepting to become a damane if that meant that they would spare her friend's- Min's - life. And Min feeling despair and guilt and crying herself because she couldn't find a way to free Egwene alone. But there was no way she was gonna abandon her.
Meanwhile, Nynaeve pretending not to be hungry so Elayne who grew up as a pampered princess will have her portion of food, too. But Elayne who sees through Nynaeve's selfless act steals applies for her friend- because she knows that the only way to convince Nynaeve to eat is if there is enough food for both of them.
I do hope some nice friendship moments or even new bonding scenes between those girls make it to the tv show.

Thoughts about 2x04 - Daughter of the Night (show + book spoilers)
This was Lanfear's episode and I think the handling of her reveal is the most important for my review of the episode.
I liked Ishamael releasing her and Selene bringing Rand to her cabin. Her tying Rand to the bed is okay, that's Lanfear. I just think the reveal was not very powerful. The viewer gets who she is through the poem, but I think she just looks like a woman who can channel, not per se a Forsaken. I thought it needed something extra to show that.
Moiraine's sudden arrival and her stabbing Lanfear and actually delaying her all seemed a little foolish to me.
Moiraine arriving in Cairhien and meeting her sister Anvaere was interesting. Nynaeve being lured to Falme by Liandrin, together with Egwene and Elayne, was nice. Again, Liandrin is perfect. In the Perrin bit I was mostly admiring Hopper. And not a lot was going on with Mat and Min, only the reveal that Liandrin was working for Ishy and Ishy telling them to go to Cairhien (why, if everyone should be heading for Falme by now?) Same with Lan, who doesn't really know what to do (and who has embraced the long hair, thank you).
So I did like this episode less than the first three episodes. It was mostly about information being shared between characters, less so about action. And I guess that's fine, although I hope for a faster and more action-driven episode 5.

Oh booooooy. Hm. So many WoT characters who set fire with their minds to choose from in that case.
I'm going to have to go with Nynaeve al'Maera. People forget she also rediscovered Balefire independent if Rand and Moraine and roasted some Fades with it. But I don't. It's one of those things that makes me insane.
She's a 10, but she can start a fire with her mind
[Send me description of one of my blorbos/obsessions you only know from my blog, and I'll try and guess who/what it is!]
See my instinct here is to go for Wheel of Time, since that contains most the pyromaniac women I spend time screaming about, but I know that is a TRAP because you follow me for WoT Reasons. I'm also tempted to go for either Rhaenyra Targaryen or Edelgard von Hraesvelg, who are not literal pyrokenetics but who do at various times start fires.
But I think this migggght be a deep cut, so I will go with Frederica Aesfrost, from the video game Triangle Strategy instead, as she is a literal fire mage. And also Moses- that's not relevant to my guess I just still go insane remembering it.
